    Imagine finding SUPERMAN #1 in your attic?

    Well .. if you did, you would be rich right now!

    A pristine copy of “Superman” No. 1 sold for $9.12 million at Heritage Auctions on Thursday, making it the most expensive comic book ever sold at auction.

    The closing price smashed the record previously set by another Superman-related comic, a copy of “Action Comics” No. 1, which sold for $6 million through Heritage Auctions in 2024.

    The first issue of “Superman” was among a small trove of comic books found by three brothers in Northern California who were sorting through their late mother’s belongings.

    The collection had been tucked under a pile of old newspapers and cobwebs in the attic of their family home, according to a press release from Heritage Auctions.

    Even more interesting, the comic was found in a box in an attic by three brothers in northern California, as they cleared out the house of their mother after her death. The trio have said their mom spoke of having original copies of comic books from the 1930s but couldn’t remember where and it was dismissed as a family legend.

    A legend no more!!

    The family has opted not to have their name revealed.. but we can only say if this family had someone smart enough to preserve a copy of SUPERMAN 1 what other amazing things exist in that amazing attic!

    That same-sex relationship is just one of the ways that Jonathan Kent, who goes by Jon, is proving to be a different Superman than his famous father. Since his new series, Superman: Son of Kal-El, began in July, Jon has combated wildfires caused by climate change, thwarted a high school shooting and protested the deportation of refugees in Metropolis.

    “The idea of replacing Clark Kent with another straight white savior felt like a missed opportunity,” Tom Taylor, who writes the series, said in an interview. He said that a “new Superman had to have new fights — real world problems — that he could stand up to as one of the most powerful people in the world.”

    Willis: “I’m looking forward to working with Kevin on bringing Howard to the flat screen,” added Willis. “And I know if I screw this up, I’ll never be able to show my face at Comic-Con ever again. Nerds will hunt me the rest of my days.”

    So there you have it.. 
    The DUCK this generation may not know it wants, but definitely feels it needs…

    “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” has been named the best animated feature of 2018 at the 46th Annual Annie Awards, sweeping all seven categories in which it was nominated and giving the film a prize that has predicted the Oscar animated-feature winner more than 70 percent of the time.

    The awards were handed out at Royce Hall on the UCLA campus on Saturday night by the Los Angeles branch of the International Animated Film Association, ASIFA-Hollywood

    This is well deserved.. the film may have been the best animated movie in a generation and quite honestly the best movie of 2018 in its entirety..

    BILL MAHER raged back on Additional to the comment, Smith reminded his followers on Twitter of the moment when he appeared on Maher’s show..

    Maher attacked Stan Lee and comic book fans, and also hurled insults at Kevin Smith.

    Smith on Twitter reacted:

    “Yes, @billmaher took a shot at me during his show last night, in the midst of his latest rant about @TheRealStanLee and adults who like comic books.” Smith wrote in the Twitter post. “No, I’m not mad at all. Bill may talk tough but he’s a stoner like me and a real pussycat when confronted.”

    SEX-MAN! Marvel creator Stan Lee, 95, is accused of groping nurses and demanding oral sex in the shower !!

    BOMBSHELL ROCKING THE COMIC LEGEND!!

    According to the Daily Mail, “a string of young female nurses” claim that Lee repeatedly groped and harassed them, and demanded to be “pleasured.” The nursing company that employed the women is now reportedly involved in an unspecified legal dispute with Lee. However, no lawsuit has been filed, and no criminal complaint has been made.

    An attorney representing Lee denied the “false and despicable allegations” in a statement to the newspaper, and suggested his client has been a target of extortion: “Mr. Lee will not be extorted or blackmailed, and will pay no money to anyone because he has done absolutely nothing wrong.” The lawyer sent a cease-and-desist letter late last month to the company that made the accusations.

    Lee was sued in 2015 by former assistant Shawn Lukaszewicz, who claimed he was wrongfully fired after enduring emotional abuse from the comics creator and his daughter Joan Celia Lee.

    Lee’s wife of 69 years, Joan Lee, passed away in July at age 93.

It’s that large rear end protruding high into the city sky.. And it’s for that butt shot that it’s also causing a rise of controversy.. In fairness, a not safe for work Spider MAN appeared this year, too, but that was removed after complaints. In this instance the comic may be bought up in some big numbers by the teenage boys that it may be aiming for. Just a thought.. Sometimes controversy equals sales.. In this matter, a rump roast of comics await..
