  • MEME WAR I

    MEME WAR I

Here is how things unfolded.. This past slow news weekend, President Donald Trump initiated first blast when he posted a MEME of him from 2007 clothes lining Vince McMahan.. but the head of the WWE owner was replaced with CNN’s logo. The media was shocked! Scrutiny began! Such hate! Vitriol..

And some Americans most likely would have been on CNN’s side with this one. After all, we have grown a bit weary of a Tweeting President.

And then CNN went and did this…

They found the REDDIT user who created the meme…using various data mining tricks and social media INFO..

The user, not named at this point: HansSoloAsshole. Love the name.

Basically what CNN decided to do was blackmail the person–some are claiming the REDDIT user is a 15-year-old. CNN virtually had the user promise to to make any more MEMES.. and if he did (they will be watching they told him) they would release his name to the world!! But if he didn’t? His secret is their secret.

Within hours of CNN broadcasting a ‘victory’ story on live TV where they bragged about how they found the Internet user who created 5 second comedy videos, the public backlash began. From the right. And the left. This one seems to be a great unifier actually..

For about 12 hours now the term ‘CNNBLACKMAIL’ has been trending on Twitter..

CNN thought they scooped a big one. Instead they just scooped poop dropped by HansSoloAsshole.

People are seriously questioning why CNN would have even wanted to track down a MEME creator to begin with–unless some thought it may have been those comedic Russian MEME creators behind it..?

Nonetheless… we are at a crossroads in time. MEME WAR I

Saturday morning arrived and the Donald was slammed for his Tweet..
By Fourth of July CNN targets the potentially teenage MEME creator.

And the internet? The internet took notice.

If CNN wanted to rid the NET of memes with their logo? They made the wrong move. The MEME war seemingly has just begun…

  • Megyn Kelly Exposed by Alex Jones in Leaked Audio Recordings

Megyn Kelly Exposed by Alex Jones in Leaked Audio Recordings

I figured something was up last week when Megyn Kelly visited the set of Alex Jones.. Jones told her to sit in the same chair that Matt Drudge sat in in 2016.. She was joking with him while on his set of his daily syndicated Youtube and radio program..

    All friendly..
    Then ..
The real interview.. people angry that NBC gave Jones a major voice – though he most likely was one of the biggest influences on the 2016 election of anyway.

And now this: Controversy! Jones has the secret tapes!

    More from the DAILY BEAST:

Alex Jones, the conspiracy-theorizing host of the Infowars website whose controversial interview with NBC’s Megyn Kelly is set to air Sunday night, has fallen back to the argument of every disgruntled interviewee: “They took me out of context.”
Except in this case, Jones may cause serious trouble for Kelly, who he apparently took the precaution of covertly taping in pre-interview calls and, he claims, the interview itself, which he is now publicizing on Infowars and his YouTube channel. And in those clandestine clips, the former Fox News host appears to promise to go easy on him in the interview.

In one 30-minute video Jones published that included extensive audio of a pre-interview call with Kelly, the new NBC hire appeared to promise the interview would be a softball personality piece.
“My goal is for your listeners and the left—you know, who will be watching some on NBC—to say, ‘Wow, that’s really interesting,” the voice that appears to be Kelly says. “It’s not going to be some gotcha hit piece, I promise you that.”

In the mean time, you can contain your excitement over the media furor with this from INFOWARS: The leaked audio tape..

  • Speak-a the Zika: Fear and loathing in Florida

Speak-a the Zika: Fear and loathing in Florida

A few people asked me yesterday: Did you hear about Florida? I was taken aback.. As I did not ‘hear about Florida.’ I thought.. did the state finally sink? Did a shock hurricane form out of no where and strike it?  Did it secede from the union?

    None of the above.
Instead, the people told me as they almost trembled in fear, “There is an outbreak of Zika.”

    Cue the frightening music.

I want to first begin by asking: Don’t we have plenty enough to be frightened of without being fearful of a disease that we can’t see? I get scared of fevers. And the flu.. Quite honestly, I am a terrible hypochondriac and so often that personality disorder leads to extreme disorder of my personal functions! But on this note, on this matter *(Zika)*, I am not finding myself to be the fearful nilly that so many others have become.

In just ten months, the Brazil outbreak of Zika has now spread to Florida.. And yesterday, all of this hubbub being referred to by individuals asking if you ‘heard about Florida,’ the dreadful confirmation came: Zika has now spread in the United States for the first time. In the Wynwood neighborhood to be exact.

    Zika detected

But here is the best takeaway from this entire thing, as reported by Bloomberg in the body of text beneath it’s frightful and dire headline:

Because symptoms are typically mild, it’s possible that the disease has already spread through mosquitoes in other places or that the infection is more widely present and transmitting in Florida without health officials being able to confirm it. None of the four Florida patients exhibited symptoms.

“There may well be more cases that we’re not aware of right now because most people infected with Zika don’t have symptoms,” Frieden said Friday.

Most people don’t even know they have Zika. They will never know.. there aren’t symptoms..

    But we fear.

    # # #

A summer does not seem complete without a heat wave, a blockbuster film or two, and a stark warning about impending doom from government health officials that gets propagated by media conglomerates looking for a rise of fear and a rise in ratings. The convention coverage just must not be enough.. spread the Zika..

But speaka the Zika, there are also a few facts worth noting — besides the knowledge that the vast majority of people will never even get a symptom… The virus was isolated in 1947 in a monkey in the Zika Forest in Uganda. Researchers were studying the transmission of yellow fever, when they found the new virus in a rhesus monkey.. Its first appearance in humans was in 1952 in Uganda and Tanzania, and the first large outbreak of disease was in 2007 on Yap Island in Micronesia.

According to the CDC, only about 20 percent of infected people have any symptoms at all, and the few who become sick usually have a mild fever, sometimes diarrhea or a rash, headache or muscle pain.. I would dare say more people get these types of symptoms from regular fast food consumption than they do from Zika..

The real fear this year is about those not yet here: The babies.

According to the latest rash of news about Zika over the past 15 months, the mosquito disease is leading to an uptick in congenital microcephaly..  Microcephaly is a condition where a baby’s head is much smaller than expected. During pregnancy, a baby’s head grows because the baby’s brain grows. Microcephaly can occur because a baby’s brain has not developed properly during pregnancy or has stopped growing after birth, which results in a smaller head size. Microcephaly can be an isolated condition, meaning that it can occur with no other major birth defects, or it can occur in combination with other major birth defects…

The troubling aspect to this entire thing has always been the lack of a sharp and distinct conclusion that Zika itself has caused the Brazil microcephaly surge.. There is caution, of course.. The numbers are still a bit astounding, however. Since 2015 in Brazil, Zika seemingly spread rapidly and so did an increase in microcephaly.. The New England JOURNAL OF MEDICINE puts a very factual background on the Brazil outbreak for those who have some time to read it

My least favorite website (least favorite because it makes a paranoid hypo like me more parnaoid) is WebMD. They explain Zika as this:

Congenital microcephaly is passed down through families. It’s caused by defects in genes linked to early brain development. Microcephaly is often seen in children with Down syndrome and genetic disorders.

Acquired microcephaly means the child’s brain came into contact with something that harmed its growth and development. Some things that may do this while a baby is in the womb are:

    Possibly Zika.

But let me ask this question.. if Zika has been around for decades.. if Zika has been in these same nations for as long as we know it has been.. why has congenital microcephaly just been known over the past 15 months to have been caused by it? And if so many MORE people could have been exposed and had Zika without knowing it —according to all health professionals — why aren’t MORE children being born with symptoms of microcephaly? Why is it still rare if Zika may not be?

On that note, I will leave this post with one a video.. if you have a spare 28 minutes, try it out.. One of my favorite YouTube channels if from Dr. John Bergman.. a few months ago he tackled Zika. And he put some needful common sense behind the fear..

I’m hopeful that someday soon major news sites will figure out that the deluge of politics in their locations is the most annoying thing ever.. Chile quake anyone? Or will we talk about whether Carly or The Donald are ugly and which one more so?

This is going to be a long long season of the Apprentice.

Looks like Drudge is listening to Art Bell again

While Matt Drudge didn’t link news on the much reach Drudge Report about Art Bell’s return to radio–he did in 2013 with the Sirius deal–a look at headlines being posted on the site makes one wonder if he’s been listening..

Just today.. Asteroids…blue moon…aliens and the Vatcian.. Cancer from cell phones… Exorcisms airing on live TV and being filmed I parks … And humans evolving a new way of walking.

While Drudge focused mainly on politics over the course of career, oddities and strangeness has been intertwined..

I have it on good source that Drudge is a Bell fan. Even when he hosted his own Sunday show in the early part of this century, he crack wisely about Bell taking over the night after him..

A peek at Drudge headlines makes me conclude that MIDNIGHT IN THR DESERT may be forcing him to think about other worldly things that matter often more than political intrigue.

    Such as Donald Trump.

If you’re listening Drudge, you’re joining a big group of Midnight fans that Bell is developing.

Keep on linking the weird. We will keep reading.

    REAL MOMENTS IN JOURNALISM..

Photos have been leaked and broadcast–through GAWKER–to the world.. New York TIMES journalists in the late 90s and June 2001 mocking mass killings. One was the Heaven’s Gate suicides.. the other, the top photo, is a spoof of the murders committed by the Crown Prince Dipendra, who took the lives of nine people including the king, queen, as well as his own. One of the weapons that he used was an M16…

And now the Old Gray Lady’s past sins are exposed. Smiles for the camera–long before Facebook and Twitter. Back when Polaroids were quick and private.. Back when the NET was only just beginning.
And now today, 2015, when the entire world is seeing the fun that the TIMES had thanks to leaked photos and a few websites making them be seen across the planet..

The Queen is not dead. Long live the Queen. Although the BBC, practicing for her death, accidentally tweeted that she was gone..

    It was all a rehearsal..

    The NBC report says this:

The initial report was picked up by media outlets including CNN Newsource and German newspaper Bild.

However, when NBC News alerted Buckingham Palace to the tweets, a spokesman said that the queen was not only alive but carrying out public engagements.

It is not clear exactly how the mistake happened but the U.K.’s publicly-funded broadcaster was staging an internal drill on Wednesday to examine its readiness for the queen’s death, a routine event staged by many news organizations.

The reporter who tweeted the death notice deleted said evidence of the non deaths..
