Carrie Fisher unloads: Drunken scenes, Lando’s dirty talk, and hangovers from hell
The UK TELEGRAPH is among the sources to compile from of the best quotes from a recent ‘Date with a Princess’ STAR WARS celebration.. Carrie Fisher became, as usual, the honest Leia.. Those in attendance were most likely either shocked or thoroughly happy at the juicy gossip on the display with Fisher and her French Bulldog, Gary, on stage..
As the TELEGRAPH reports, some of Fisher’s own words.
She got drunk with the ROLLING STONES before the Cloudy City scene filming..
“And they’re a partying bunch of guys, and though I didn’t drink at the time, to be kind of amenable, or whatever, I drank. I used to say I’m allergic to drinking, and this would have been a demonstration of that. And we stayed up pretty late. Charlie [Watts], that one, he didn’t have a lot of facial expressions. He’s like the Darth Vader of the Stones.
“And we stayed up really late and got to the set about two hours later. And we weren’t hung over, we were still in our cups. And if you watch the movie you can see that: Harrison and I are smiling as we arrived in Cloud City. Doesn’t that sound like a euphemism?”
Lando Calrissian had a dirty mouth..
“Billy Dee Williams was funny. Right before he was going to kiss my hand, he’d say something incredibly filthy, and I would laugh. Something about the Force and it being with me… He was a lot of fun to work with.”
Fisher thought her kissing scene in STAR WARS was ‘hot.’… She dubbed herself the ‘space slut’..
On her favorite STAR WARS scene:
“Probably one of the scenes where I said something awful to Harrison. ‘Scruffy looking nerf-herder’, something like that. What a moron.”
Should you want more, here is the stream. Skip back in time if you want the juice.

The end of the 20th Century STAR WARS in a trailer for the new one
DARTH VADER’s mask and Luke Skywalker’s voice appear in new STAR WARS trailer..
As does a symbolic few moments of mentions of STAR WARS of yesteryear..
Harrison Ford and Chewbacca appear, too.
The only thought I have: If the best they have is celebrating a movie from the 1970s, this is not a movie this generation needs..
Unless of course this film simply is transitioning to the next realm of star wars entertainment.. One review of the STAR WARS trailer: “Literally sobbing at my computer”
I think they will have a transitional movie.. It will have people say goodbye to the STARS WARS they loved (not the newer ones with JAR JAR but the real ones) and then present a new age of STAR WARS for this generation. But first the old folks need to be completely ok with saying bye to HANS and Luke And Leia..
The question to me is this: Will this be good without Lucas? And I say yes. Because Lucas gave us the not so good modern STAR WARS movies. I think the notion was fine, but in creation flopped. At least to me.
This new trailer is getting lots of fair attention today.
And most likely more will as they are released… -

THE TOLERANT REBELLION: STAR WARS GETS A GAY CHARACTER
Anghus Houvouras writes: It’s a Trap: Why ‘The First Gay Star Wars Character’ is a war on common sense »
Interesting article.. Worth the read. Anghus may be very familiar to those who have been long-time HORROR REPORT fans, he used to pen a little bit of a column way back when we were nothing and now he is a profoundly important writer and director, plus a genius columnist at FLICKERING MYTH (not being paid to write any of that, but I sincerely believe it) ..
And his point is taken ..
The money quote:
Up to this announcement, any of the characters could have been gay. Admiral Akbar. Boba Fett. Hell, even, Lando Calrissian. Would it matter if Lando Calrissian was gay? Not at all. His role in the story wasn’t impacted by his sexual orientation. If I had read the headline ‘Lando Calrissian revealed as gay’, all I would have thought was ‘that makes sense: those overtures to Leia were overcompensation.’ Lando ran Cloud City, betrayed Han and friends, and redeemed himself by blowing up Death Star 2.0. Gay… straight… it didn’t matter.
And:
We live in a time where everyone is desperate to label everything. To define what something is or isn’t because saying nothing somehow implies intolerance. To me, the Star WarsUniverse feels far more intolerant because they’ve flat out told me there’s been no gay characters in canon until now. I liked it better when there was ambiguity to it, because it had no impact on the story I was watching or comics I was reading.
He does make a good point near the end of his article: There really is no need for STAR WARS, a movie that will already have lots of attention, to get more attention.. And really, the sexualization of STAR WAR never really occurred.. though by THE RETURN OF THE JEDI I was coming of age, so I figured Princess Leia may have been Jabba’s sex slave. But, since it was gross, I never tried to determine how that would have even worked..
And Anghus is right: We are seemingly desperate to label everyone in our current time. Every single person deserves a label, an acronym, or a bandwagon to jump on. What happened to just being an individual? Daring to be different? Just having a light saber and destroying the Empire?
This is a trap..
And people will fall for it.George Lucas gave us a number of political commentaries in STAR WARS when you study it.. Seems like DISNEY would rather give us pop culture than generationally important messages..
And anyway.. JAR JAR BINKS was gay, right?

Cat claws out: George Lucas hits back at movie industry
Some say that George Lucas changed movies forever with his original STAR WARS films.
Others say that his incarnations in the early 2000s were some of the worst pieces of film crap every displayed on screen, besides Natalie Portman of course..But George Lucas is hitting back, calling out his critics and even slamming people’s pop cultural preferences..
Among the many quotables that you can find in the VARIETY article penned by Brent Lang, the HORROR REPORT picks its favorites:
If you go into ‘Star Wars’ and see what’s going on there, there’s a lot more substance than circus
…
All art is technology. That’s the one thing that separates us from animals.
…
All of us in film school hated the establishment. It was the sixties.
…
Studio executives generally are not the most sophisticated people in the world…you do not want to be oppressed by people who are not as smart as you are and I’m dumb
…
But perhaps the one that will cut the deepest: Lucas scratches his head at pop culture:
I would never guess people would watch cats do stupid things all day long
George.. this one’s for you:

STAR WARS: THE MEMES AWAKEN
The internet is good for a few things: Cat GIFs and memes top the list as of late.. people from around the planet were quick to create a comedic goldmine of Kim Kardashian rear end jokes.. Now comes along the newest villain from the next in the STAR WARS franchise, and already creative minds have been inspired to think outside the box..
The first trailer for STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS debuted this Thanksgiving weekend.. after much anticipation, the biggest thing that people have seemingly latched onto is the newest light saber style for the Empire.. The Dark Side is back with the red color, but the flames seem to make a letter T.. some compared it to a bizarre style of the cross, perhaps a the perversion of the trinity? A deeper message in the hooded figure walking in the forest?
As for me? I like it.. It surprised me a bit when I saw it, maybe that was the intention..
For those of you who aren’t a STAR WARS fan and don’t have one in your inner circle of family and friends, you need to understand that these changes, while slight and meaningless to some, set the fanboy-girl world on fire with debate and theatrics. Thanks to the internet, people immediately rant on Facebook, cuss on Twitter, and rumble on Tumblr..Along with this new STAR WARS light saber style, though, comes some pretty inventive memes floating around the net..
The always reliable MASHABLE has a bit of an accounting of some of the best ..Including these:

And this, perhaps my favorite:
The creative stylings of fans online never ceases to amaze me..
Inventive minds are always at work. Memes are the most refreshing of examples of how people can still think outside the box.

There is a bit of sad news in relations to the STAR WARS franchise being reported today, though.. The story comes from the UK MIRROR.. the tabloid is profiling David Prowse.. he is the giant, literally speaking at 6 feet plus, who played DARTH VADER in the original Lucas films.. The unfortunate way life has played out for him, however, is not happy: He is suffering from dementia and, according to his own confession, not improving with medication. In the article, Prowse admits that since Darth Vader was killed from the movie, there’s really no way back.. I feel awful for him, though, to be one of the few who could not reprise a role in the newest film.
And that note, memes and Prowse aside, I wonder this: The ultimate test for the new STAR WARS film will be to achieve a new Darth Vader of our time.. will that occur? Could the dark side come with a new being in this film, one that will make DARTH VADER look like an amateur?
There has been some opinions that the greatest movie villain of all time has VADER in the top 5, if not 3..
STAR WARS is awakening with a new force.. But will they be able to provide this generation of selfies and tech addicts the villain they want, or better yet, the villain they need?
We will find out in December 2015.Until then, I trust a number of more memes will be released with each trailer..
