One of my biggest problems with TUMBLR has always been its reblogging feature. While I rarely reblog, the times I do, I get as confused about what I am seeing as my readers may be seeing..

But TUMBLR is going to spice things up.. it’s been redesigned..

But is it better?

One person’s tweet, quoted in the FORTUNE article, says this:

the new tumblr reblog design is, EVEN BY TUMBLR REDESIGN STANDARDS, an abomination

Strong fighting words for Marissa Mayer.

Some are already lamenting about the ‘nostalgic charm’ that will be missed with the redesign..

The horror world shocked. Wes Craven dead this Sunday night after a battle with brain cancer.. He was 76.

And he changed the landscape of cinema.. He forever altered pop culture with his HILLS that had eyes and Freddy that stalked dreams in NIGHTMARES..

He was also proficient and a master orator.. He was intelligent. He captivated minds but also set the tone of films for decades..

He will be greatly missed..

USA Network Postpones Finale Of ‘Mr. Robot’ Because Of Violent Scene Similar To Virginia Shooting

USA Network has announced that it will delay the finale of its well-received summer hacker drama Mr. Robot due to “a graphic scene similar in nature” to a shooting Wednesday at a Virginia TV station that left three journalists dead,
including the shooter. Critics who had seen the episode confirmed that
the contents indeed seemed similar to the day’s events.

It fascinates me to look back at the brief history of entertainment and see all of the times fiction predicted reality.. Like Donald Trump running for president on the Simpsons.. Or the Lone Gunmen show predating 9/11.. Or now this, a show recorded some time ago set to air showing a scene just like one that would play out in real life…

Life imitating fiction, or are we just living in a Matrix ??

The MTV music awards will be hosted by Miley just being Miley.

And that has to make even THEM a bit nervous considering the significant delay they opted to use for the Cyrus show ..

The pop culture event of the year? Or the dud of the decade?

Nipples will flow and armpit hair will glow. Miley’s on deck..

Dateline China:

Fire sends smoke skyward in Tianjin at site of previous explosions

Keep in mind, this is the same exact location where the explosion happened. This is a new fire..

From CNN:

Fires shot plumes of black smoke into the sky Saturday at the site of a chemical warehouse in Tianjin, China, where explosions earlier this week killed at least 85 people.

But officials denied news reports that an evacuation order had been issued for everyone within 1.8 miles ( 3 kilometers), with Tianjin government spokesman Gong Jiansheng calling the reports “false information.”

The Beijing News, citing Armed Police, had reported the evacuation order. CNN has reported that at least one disaster recovery shelter is located within the reported evacuation zone.

Explosions. More explosions. A site that looks like a nuclear bomb went off.. and complete and utter secrecy from China, not only about the facts of the situation but also about the dead and injured..
