Some are sure: Christopher Hitchens is currently burning in hell
Christopher Hitchens died this week.. and when he did, a tremendous amounts of tributes were immediately flying online. Also with those tributes: Reprehensible words from some ultra religious people stating that he was sent to hell by the all forgiving God.Among those: A conservative radio talk show host named Bryan Fischer. Fischer said that if Hitchens is now burning in eternal damnation it’s because God loves him, and not hates him. Fischer is getting his name on the map, now, of course.. but also on the map is his words of hate.We cannot know if a person is in hell or heaven. HELL, WE DON’T KNOW IF THERE IS A HEAVEN OR HELL!!But .. some are able to say with clarity and surety that Christopher Hitchens is now burning in eternal suffering… and his sin? Now believing he could burn in eternal suffering. So believe. Fear.Or … you, too, can burn with Chris………. -

Horror in the Philippines: More than 400 dead after typhoon
Early reports of Typhoon Washi had a death toll of 200..Now dire news has been reported that over 400 are dead–with lots more still being counted. Lots more unaccounted for. When water came crashing through Manila and other areas, people were fast asleep. It was the still of the night when the flooding typhoon drenched the nation. Many were washed out to sea.. others are being taken to funeral parlors–the way the death toll is based is primarily on reports from funeral homes…MSNBC reports:Teddy Sabuga-a, a disaster officer in Misamis Oriental province, said 60 people were rescued in waters off El Salvador city, about 6 miles northwest of Cagayan de Oro, after they were swept to the sea by a raging river, and about 120 more were rescued off Opol township, closer to the city.
More dramatic news set to hit wires… the death toll will rise.. and a lot more horror is yet to come from the Philippines in result of Washi.. -

Rumors in Rome: Is the Pope too tired to continue?
Rumors abound this year that Pope Benedict is tired, out of touch, and rarely filled with the energy needed to be engaging or even in charge of the Church. The Associated Press wire service is reporting that Pope Benedict is disengaged, rarely meeting with bishops, and now in need of a platform to carry him instead of walking down St. Peter’s Basilica. The Pope will turn 85 in 2012…and with past statements that Benedict has made when he was Cardinal Raztinger, the issue is even more controversial: He said that if popes can’t do the job, they should resign the papacy. No word from Rome on resignations, though.Back at home, however, it seems the daily grind of being pope _ the audiences with visiting heads of state, the weekly public catechism lessons, the sessions with visiting bishops _ has taken its toll. A spark is gone. He doesn’t elaborate off-the-cuff much anymore, and some days he just seems wiped out.
The spark is gone… over. Out.A few years ago a protester wearing red leaped out of the audience at a Christmas Eve service to rush the pope before being taken down by guards…This year, it is questionable if the Pope would need the guards since his platform does the work his legs once did.The Catholic Church has been down this road of sick popes before. Rumors flew in the early 2000s about John Paul II … constant news of death and illness. Until a dove appeared above his head and days later he died.Benedict is 85 years young in ’12.Long live Benny. -

More than 250 killed in the Philippines after flash flood
Hell on earth.Typhoon Washi hits the Philippines ..250 confirmed dead.400 missing. The death toll is sure to rise, according to officials, who are recovering from the blast from the typhoon. When Washi swept in, it immediately caused drenching heavy rains, flash floods, mudslides, and power loss to thousands of homes. The hardest hit areas according to fresh reports from the Philippines were the cities of Illigan and Cagayan de Oro.Reports from the Philippines also speak of harrowing rescues, villages washed in to the sea, and muddy ugly water rushing through streets, picking up with it any pieces of debris available to go for the ride. The government mobilized 20,000 soldiers in the nation for relief operations. The port cities struck with the most hell will be seeing the most troops–the reports seem to suggest that those cities are practically decimated with water and wind damage.Tropical systems are not stranger to the Philippines. The nation typically gets hit with up to 20 storms a year. However, this storm seemed to be hit with extra strength. NASA saw the tropical system’s winds and rains to be intense over a larger area.Washi wasn’t done yet. After it leaves the nation of the Philippines behind to deal with destruction, it’s into the Sulu Sea where meteorologists say it will intensify again before it strikes Vietnam. -
