He had heart attacks for years.. he had a quadruple bypass.. he had a battery powered heart pump. And now at the age of 71, he has received a heart transplant and is recovering tonight.

The space station crew was forced to seek shelter after fears of debris.. the fragment passed by the station without farm to life or limb, but it showcases the growing issue of space debris circling around earth..

NASA was concerned that the debris was potentially dangerous to astronauts on the International Space Station–so much so that they were warned to seek refuge as the debris passed by.

It was an old Russian satellite named Cosmos 2251. This is now the third time such an incident has occurred.

And it will likely occur again: According to reports, more than 20,000 pieces of MAN-MADE debris circle earth, all larger than a softball. Many pieces are large..
