More horrible news coming from the Philippines–progress seems to be non-existent after Haiyan

    “My children are decomposing”
This is a quote from Juvelyn Taniega as reported by CNN today.. She is in the Philippines  and because of the slowness of recovery, she is now forced to watch as the bodies of her children decompose in front of  her..

    CNN reports it this way:

Juvelyn Taniega tried to keep busy. She collected old dishes and cleaned them, crouching near where her home once stood and the place where she last saw her husband and six children alive. She’s found the bodies of three of her children, but three of them are still missing. In days, she said, no one has come to help. “My children are decomposing,” she said. There are many like her, looking in disbelief over miles of fields full of crushed wood and stone that once stood as houses, wondering if her missing loved ones are buried in them.

I cannot even fathom the heartbreak and emotion of this.. I cannot even understand or grasp the suffering that so many are going through right now.
Whether there is a god or not, there is certainly reason to doubt the kindness of nature.. and God. We have seen suffering on massive scales before. Hell even the dinosaurs had a miserable existence extinguished by a hellstorm from above. Does the earth itself just hate us?
There has always been hurt, loss, suffering, and sadness. But through it all there has also been a monstrous amount of love and goodness.
The only hope that people in the Philippines have right now is that there will be enough love to overcome the misery..and the decomposing bodies under their feet.

  • Noory back in the saddle again

Noory back in the saddle again

It’s a strong down amnesia lane, but here you go..
One of the creepiest images I’ve ever seen. It’s George Noory and his producer Tommy at a L.A. ‘parade’ back in the spring of this year. All credit on the images go to BELLGAB.. with the departure of Art Bell and the return of George Noory on Bell’s Sirius XM channel 104, some Noory anger has built up among fans. They have re-examined these images of $nores and big Tommy. The ego .. the hairpiece.. the taped “coast to coast” paper on the side of the car. All tacky, and quite creepy. The only thing missing from these images are strange ‘ice cream man’ sounding tunes, or a foreboding piece of music from a horror movie. George Noory is coming for you. And will steal your soul since he lost his to Premiere executives.

UK INDEPENDENT article: Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s new film Don Jon is the story of a man whose porn habit has left him unable to relate to real women. He’s not the only one

    The article focuses on men.
    Here’s a quote:
The question is: does it matter? If we’re all getting our kicks and having a good time, what’s the problem? “It’s a disconnection from what’s really in front of you,” says Gordon-Levitt, who directed, wrote and stars in the film. “Rather than engaging with a unique individual and listening to what the other has to say, right at this moment, we put people in boxes with labels. We objectify each other.”
But statistics also show that 70% of men in America are watching porn regularly (probably about as many as have the internet) and 1 in 3 women are..
I am curious if women are having the same re-wiring happening that men seem to be?
The INDEPENDENT article is worth the read. I suppose after you’re done your two minutes on Porn Hub.
