The strongest solar flare of the year fired off the sun on Tuesday

It was an X3.3 class solar flare.. it may not be strong enough to eliminate the modern world we have come to love, but it was certainly a strong shot from the sun..

The 11-year solar cycle appears to be heating up..
Spaceweather.com reported that the solar event actually created a rare “magnetic crochet” and extreme ultraviolet flash. Spaceweather explains that the intense flare created an immediate ionization of Earth’s upper atmosphere leading to the magnetic crochet–and that only happens when a flare is in progress…
