Death on Rust set! Production halted.. Alec Baldwin fired the shot!

Alec Baldwin, 68, shot and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, 42, on the set of upcoming film Rust

Baldwin fired a prop gun that ejected a ‘projectile’ which is thought to have hit Hutchins in the stomach

She was taken to hospital by air ambulance after the 1.50pm shooting, but was pronounced dead shortly after

Jel Souza, 48, the film’s writer-director, was also wounded and taken to hospital but has since been released

Baldwin was taken for questioning by police but was not arrested and has not been charged. He was pictured outside the sheriff’s office looking distraught – doubled over into the curb in grief and weeping on the phone

Sheriffs say the weapon was fired either during a scene or rehearsal for a scene, though it is not clear whether it was fired on purpose or by accident. It is not clear how the ‘projectile’ was loaded, with a probe ongoing

Ethan Hawke says he thought Robin Williams ‘hated me’ while filming ‘Dead Poets Society’

I thought Robin hated me,” Hawke, who had his breakthrough role in the Peter Weir film, shared. “He had a habit of making a ton of jokes on set. At 18, I found that incredibly irritating. He wouldn’t stop and I wouldn’t laugh at anything he did.”

Hawke, who played a teenage student taught by Williams’s unconventional and inspiring English teacher, remembered his co-star needling him during filming, but said he’s since come to see the older actor’s perspective.

“There was this scene in the film when he makes me spontaneously make up a poem in front of the class,” he recalled. “He made this joke at the end of it, saying that he found me intimidating. I thought it was a joke. As I get older, I realize there is something intimidating about young people’s earnestness, their intensity. It is intimidating — to be the person they think you are. Robin was that for me.”

What an interesting perspective. This movie has been one of the most enduring films of all time, a CLASSIC immediately then when it was released and no less important now for generation sense. There’s a certain ritual, almost a coming-of-age moment, in which dead poet society is filling a void in the mid time frame of life ..

Sabrina the Teenage Witch star Melissa Joan Hart has breakthrough COVID infection

The “Sabrina the Teenage Witch” star took to Instagram (from bed) to tell followers “it’s bad” and that she thinks she may have caught it from one of her kids.

Of course recently she appeared to be at Disney with family.. so it’s anyone’s guess, including the teenager witch herself, really doesn’t know?

“I am vaccinated and I got COVID and it’s bad,” she said. “It’s weighing on my chest. It’s hard to breathe. One of my kids, I think, has it so far. I’m praying that the other ones are okay.”

She continued: “I’m mad, really mad, because we tried and we took precautions and we cut our exposure by a lot but we got a little bit lazy, and I think as a country we got a little lazy, and I’m really mad that my kids didn’t have to wear a mask at school. I’m pretty sure that’s where this came from. I just really hope my husband and the other ones don’t get it, because if someone has to be taken to the hospital, I can’t go with them.”

Hart says she’s not trying to be political with her post, she’s just sharing an update on her health.

“I wanted to share this with all of you. I’m not posting this to be political or gain pity, I just want to share my journey. This isn’t up for debate, it’s just how I feel today on my page,” she wrote.

BRITNEY CLOSER TO FREE

Gossip rags and celebrity sites are abuzz with information that Britney Spears’ dad Jamie has STEPPED DOWN as conservator of her estate..

Court documents obtained by the UK SUN and other sources suggest that the long national nightmare has come to an end..

This reporting from the SUN:

New court papers filed by Jamie Spears‘ lawyer state: “There are, in fact, no actual grounds for suspending or removing Mr. Spears as the Conservator of the Estate. “And it is highly debatable whether a change in conservator at this time would be in Ms. Spears’ best interests. However, the docs continue: “Nevertheless, even as Mr. Spears is the unremitting target of unjustified attacks, he does not believe that a public battle with his daughter over his continuing service as her conservator would be in her best interests. “So, even though he must contest this unjustified Petition for his removal, Mr. Spears intends to work with the Court and his daughter’s new attorney to prepare for an orderly transition to a new conservator.” Jamie’s team then insists in the court papers: “Regardless of his formal title, Mr. Spears will always be Ms. Spears’ father, he will always love her unconditionally, and he will always look out for her best interests.”

So is she free?

NOT SO FAST..

Yes, he will step down after several lingering issues are resolved .. BUT the document gives no timetable for his resignation from his role helping oversee his daughter’s finances.

“Mr. Spears continues to serve dutifully, and he should not be suspended or removed, and certainly not based on false allegations,” the filing said. “Mr. Spears is willing to step down when the time is right, but the transition needs to be orderly and include a resolution of matters pending before the Court.”

So #FreeBritney can live on as a hash tag just a bit longer.
