    There are reports across world media that US intelligence is warning and aware of a plan for Russia to expand its military operations into NATO countries..

    The UK TELEGRAPH reports US officials believe Russia might attempt to escalate tensions by mounting a small land incursion or launching cyber attacks across Eastern Europe any time from this autumn to 2029, The Wall Street Journal reported.

    The report marks a significant shift in US intelligence assessments from their previous stance that Vladimir Putin would not attack while still caught up in his war in Ukraine…

    Amid the war in the Middle East, Putin, who illegally invaded Ukraine four years ago, believes ‘we have all lost what we call international law’, said Peskov.

    ‘To be honest, I don’t even understand how anyone can call on others to follow the norms and principles of international law. It no longer exists.”

    In one of the strangest twists yet in an already chaotic political landscape, conservative YouTuber and commentator Candace Owens dropped a bizarre bombshell on her show this week. According to her, she was at the center of Ukraine–Russia peace negotiations earlier this year.

    Yes, really.

    Owens claimed she received a phone call from someone close to former President Donald Trump, asking her to stop talking about Brigitte Macron, the wife of French President Emmanuel Macron. Owens had been airing a controversial series suggesting Brigitte is secretly transgender..

    But then came the wildest part.

    According to Owens, she was told that peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine were being held up because Macron was allegedly furious over her coverage of his wife. The implication? That he wouldn’t move forward diplomatically until she shut up about Brigitte.

    Owens said the message came straight from Trump himself, who allegedly phoned her while in Florida. She described the call as a mix of charm and pressure—a classic Art of the Deal moment—with Trump praising her beauty and podcasting skills before asking her to stand down on Macron.

    She reached out to Tucker Carlson for advice. His response? Agree to the silence, but only for a limited time. Owens reportedly relayed that back to Trump, who, she says, seemed disinterested in temporary deals.

    The whole scenario raises a ton of questions:

    Is it plausible that a French president would stall global peace talks over a YouTuber’s commentary?



    Is Owens exaggerating, or is there something deeper here?

    And what does it say about the current Trump administration, now in its second term, that these are the kinds of international fire drills reportedly happening behind the scenes?

    The minister’s comments in an interview with TASS come in the wake of the U.S. getting behind a joint international effort to train Ukrainian pilots to use modern fighter aircraft including F-16s. This could also pave the way to eventually send advanced Western combat jets to Ukraine, according to a senior administration official. 

    Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy welcomed the U.S. decision in a tweet on Friday, saying that it “will greatly enhance our army in the sky.”

    Two people have been killed in Poland after two stray rockets landed near the border with Ukraine. 

    It has not yet been confirmed if the rockets landed in the NATO state as a result of Russia’s mass bombardment of Ukrainian cities earlier today, which saw over 100 rockets launched. 

    Poland’s Prime Minister, Mateusz Morawiecki, has convened the Committee of the Council of Ministers for National Security and Defense Affairs “as a matter of urgency”, government spokesman Piotr Müller confirmed, with local news sites claiming this is likely the result of the explosions.

    A number of pallets could also be seen close to the trucks, though it is unclear when the footage, verified by CNN, was taken.

    Fears in Europe over the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant

    NBC: Why is the world so worried about Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant? Experts warn that an explosion around the plant, which is being shelled, could leak radiation across Europe.

    Built by the then-Soviet Union in the 1980s, Zaporizhzhia’s six light-water reactors make it among the 10 most powerful nuclear power stations in the world.

    After the invasion began Feb. 24, the Kremlin war machine took a little over a week to capture the plant at Enerhodar, a city that is around a 2-hour drive southwest of the larger Zaporizhzhia.

    Russian forces’ seizure of the plant a week after the invasion began caused initial concerns when a fire erupted at the site after shelling.

    That offensive marked the first time in history that war had broken out in a country with such a large and advanced nuclear power infrastructure, according to the Vienna-based International Atomic Energy Agency, which reports to the United Nations.

    That panic renewed this week after shelling damaged several buildings and a power cable, and put one reactor offline, according to Energoatom, Ukraine’s national energy company.

    The plant provides Ukraine with more than 20% of its power.

    Moscow is “blackmailing the whole world with the possibility of a nuclear disaster,” according to Hryhoriy Plachkov, former head of the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine.

    Russia, which is occupying the plant, has traded accusations of responsibility with Ukraine, which appears to be mounting a renewed offensive in the south of the country.

    It is not known how many of the plant’s 11,000 prewar staff continue to work at the site. One former employee told NBC News that it was “very scary for them to work” under Russian control, amid reports that some of them were being held hostage.
