    While ferocious debate continues on the HORROR REPORT and other websites that speculate and opine about these issues of paranormal radio talk show hosts, Heather Wade is getting ready for her premiere as host of THE KINGDOM OF NYE radio..

    Wade posted a photo today on her Facebook page showcasing the radio room where she will broadcast from.

    Fans of Art Bell may recognize a few things..  from the clock to the floor. Wade continues to broadcast from the same location in Pahrump Nevada where Bell made himself home to fans on MIDNIGHT IN THE DESERT.

    Controversy  developed  from an interview last week that Karen Jackson did on the Bartcast .. One of the ABs, Art Bell’s widow Airyn Bell, even made a statement on the program concerning recent developments..

    The statement suggests that Wade should do her her show with her own name.. She also said she wants less drama…

    Art Bell fans over the decades became used to drama.. But the death of Bell has caused a surge in vitriolic rage among fans..

    All eyes on October 1 as the new phase of Drama in the Desert begins..

    Art Bell fans who have been following the long career he held and the shows he hosted will know that Heather Wade was handpicked by the talk show legend himself as his successor on MIDNIGHT IN THE DESERT. That program aired most recently before his Friday the 13th death in April of this year..

    Wade’s adventures in late night radio have not been without controversy. Shortly before Bell’s death, he was helping promote her venture into Area 51…

    Multiple venues hosted her program briefly in the short aftermath of Art Bell’s passage from this planet, with no true home being found. And to make matters even more contentious, Art Bell’s long time webmaster Keith Rowland had a very public dispute about her doing programs to begin with!

    He wrote multiple times that she was in violation of a non-compete clause when she left Midnight in the Desert post-Bell-mortem..

    As of today, host very much loved paranormal heavyweight Dave Schrader has taken up the mantle as the chief host of MIDNIGHT..

    For months, Wade vanished into the darkness of the night .. until now..

    Heather Wade has made it public: She is returning to broadcasting radio from Pahrump, the same Nye County town in Nevada that Art Bell himself hosted live nightly for decades..

    KCAA and KYAH will broadcast her new program, THE KINGDOM OF NYE… The program debuts on October 1 2018.

    Subscribers will still be able to sign up.
    The program promises to showcase the various bumper songs that Bell also used for years..
    And Wade said she still plans on the Area 51 visit..

    Wade’s former website that included the namesake of Bell has been taken away from her .. According to what we have learned, Airyn Bell and family has taken away Wade’s ownership of her previous domain in order to “carry on Bell’s true legacy.” … that website contains a countdown clock to whatever reveal will occur in 8 days.

    Wade’s program will air at the same time it did when it was MIDNIGHT IN THE DESERT.. 9pm Pacific, 12am Eastern..

    It will compete against Ground Zero with Clyde Lewis, Coast to Coast Am with George Noory, and Midnight in the Desert with Dave Schrader..

    There is a mixed response to Wade’s return. The kingdom of Bell fans have become divided on her hosting and her new show..  The outcome of her return will be seen within days..

    Yes, Art Bell is dead.. and Yes, suddenly Keith Rowland and Heather Wade are continuing their very public fight even in the post-mortem world of Bell..

    Thankfully fans still have somewhere in time.

    And tomorrow on COAST TO COAST AM’s special SIT Saturday broadcast, this:

    Somewhere in Time travels back to April 16, 1996, for a night of Open Lines with weird and bizarre stories – including a call from a man who says he killed multiple Bigfoot in 1973

    I recall this show.. I was just a kid, and I remember distinctly sneaking out of my bedroom to listen to the radio as my father listened to it in the kitchen of the house.. It perked me ears up and created a fascination from that point on with Art Bell…

    Speaking of that latest quip between ROWLAND and WADE: Earlier this week Rowland made a public comment lambasting a radio broadcaster playing reruns of MIDNIGHT IN THE DESERT.. He said that Heather Wade will never come back. In the mean time a very public debate plays out on Wade’s Facebook page..
    I will always be humbled knowing that Art Bell himself copied and pasted the HORROR REPORT onto his Facebook feed only days before his death.. I am humbled to know he read my site and appreciated it.. And we, all of his fans, miss him greatly..
    At least we have Somewhere in Time……

    On Monday, the Nye County Sheriff’s Office found itself defending its decision to announce Bell’s death with a video on Facebook about 12 hours after he was found dead at his home in Pahrump on Friday.

    The move has drawn some criticism online from people calling it an invasion of the Bell family’s privacy. But a spokesman for the rural department said Sheriff Sharon Wehrly recorded the video statement because Bell was “a huge celebrity” and “we knew we would be inundated with questions.”

    “We received information that his death had already begun to circulate via Facebook, and in an effort to get factual information out to the public, prior to the onslaught of public records requests, we decided to do a short press release announcing his death and the pending autopsy,” said Lt. David Boruchowitz. “The release was made once public conversation and requests started coming in.”


    Meanwhile the Dark Matter radio network will utilize this week to play classic MIDNIGHT IN THE DESERT shows with host Art Bell.. and on Thursday Coast to Coast Am will feature a full program of clips of Bell, guests, and open lines, hosted by George Noory..

    SOMEWHERE IN TIME: ART BELL AND MY FINAL THOUGHTS

    This video is somewhat appropriate for the time at hand.. Art Bell, dead at the age of 72 on a Friday the 13th in the spring month of April. This was Art, healthy and alive, waving us all a grand goodbye as a drone flew above his compound in the kingdom of Nye. Pahrump… The desert where he was king.

    Initially when the death news was revealed, it was strange. For some reason I woke up around 2am on the East Coast. I fell asleep listening to Clyde Lewis and awoke to him lamenting that he was often the opening act for Bell but never met him.. and now Art Bell was dead.

    I was in shock.. I hardly slept from that point and immediately tuned into Coast to hear Noory conduct open lines focusing on Art.

    The emotion hit about 24 hours later when I realized just what we lost. Not only a legend, but quite honestly a maverick in industry.. a friend.. someone who comforted us during some of the worst times in history. Someone who had human emotions himself, contemplating suicide after the death of Ramona.. someone who is a father of a new baby.. someone who gave us amazing nostalgic memories in only a style he could. Someone who re-branded 70s and 80s era music as a bumper to his program, complete with the WAV file of the thunder crack that he recorded himself.

    His final drone video, featured with this post, fills not only me bit also fans with heartache and joy.

    He was famous for not knowing if he would enter the light.. if he would think of it as a bug zapper or if he’d just brave it and figure out the afterlife in the same style he tried to question our current reality.

    I post this with tears at this moment. Anyone who grew up with him listening nightly on old fashioned radios or new fangled smartphones have the same appreciation. He took us beyond where we exist.. he took us to the limits of time and space. Was he hokey at times with Mel’s hole or fear of the Oiujia Board? Absolutely. But that is what made it all better. The fact we never knew.. the fact he was neutral. Sure, you can get a sense of his thought from the tone of his voice. But boy oh boy.. you just never knew for sure..

    And now things are done. Times have changed. There is no ‘return to the airwaves.’ Heather Wade will decide how MIDNIGHT tears into the night.. Keith Rowland will figure out what to do with his WEB version of events. Bellgab will figure out what’s left to gab about in the absence of the man who spawned the site. And we will collectively contemplate his time and space on this planet.. and conjure up some thoughts of his travels as he now contemplates the next realm.

    For he is gone.
    And we are thankful we had him.

    Last night on MIDNIGHT IN THE DESERT, host Heather Wade announced that she plans on breaking into Area 51 this June and is asking for volunteers to go with her..
    MORE: It is a criminal act and poses danger to life and limb to cross the barrier at the gate..

    ART BELL posted on Facebook last night, “All I know for sure is she is a truly determined Woman and no amount of talking is going to change her mind. I truthfully say the same thought has crossed my mind over the Years but the thought of Arrest or worst case getting shot always stopped me. She has Cajones”

    Bell went on to reply to a comment asking if he would also go, “No, I will stay here to fill in if she needs it and my guess is she will, Area 51 Invasions are for the young.”
