    URINE IN SPACE!
    TRUMP WON’T DRINK!
ANY RUSSIAN TAPES TO SAY OTHERWISE!?

“Water is such a precious resource up here that we also are cleaning up our urine and making it drinkable – and it’s really not as bad as it sounds,” said Peggy Whiston.

In a live interview with President Donald Trump, the record-breaking astronaut explained, “it’s really not as bad as it sounds.”

“Well that’s good, I’m glad to hear that,” Trump responded.

“Better you than me,” he chimed in.

The big news from NASA and what wasn’t said

Did you hear about TRAPPIST-1? A AMAZING SYSTEM WITH 7 EARTH-LIKE EXOPLANETS!

That is amazing news.. exciting news. You may have to put away the political section or turn off the mainstream news to actually even hear about this monumental NASA announcement, but it’s there if you want to read it .. see it..

Astronomers discovered the 7 planets rotating around a nearby star. Three of the planets have  good chance of having water … life.. ? But they didn’t announce life.

The planets are 40 light years away — seems short distance but … 40 light years is not.

In 2016 the TRAPPIST telescope found the planets. 7 have been identified…

The astronomers studied regular dips in the star’s brightness.. a telescope in Chile helped find the system, along with NASA’s..

The temperatures and sizes apparently are very similar to that of the Earth.. Amazing that so many planets in the system have the chance of being earth-like….

    TRAPPIST 1-E
    TRAPPIST F
    TRAPPIST G..
They are the planets that could harbor oceans of water on their surfaces…

When NASA announced that big news was coming yesterday, most of the UFO world was crossing fingers and toes that alien life would be announced. But nothing of that sort, yet. It would seem, if you were writing a novel about HOW TO release info on life, you would do it in drips and drabs.. drips and drabs have been occurring. The latest drip is that life CAN exist on several planets..  This, compared to the old days of NASA simply announcing they found planets, is different. This time we are finding planets with oceans.. we are finding potential life. WE just don’t say LIFE yet.. but close enough ..
40 light years though.. still a distance.

I personally don’t think it is a question of whether life exists, but just whether we find it during my own personal lifetime.

This is a big universe. Complex in nature and mysterious in origin. We are pebbles on a beach.. maybe even fractions of a grain of sand.. But yet somehow a part of that big and amazing intricate picture of life itself.

Amazing time to be alive. Just hope someone can discover a car that goes 40 light years a minute and get us to a new home among the stars that birthed us..

  • Kepler’s big day!! More planets to potentially find life!?

Kepler’s big day!! More planets to potentially find life!?

    This is exciting..

Just when you lost hope in finding life out there somewhere! There are 1284 more new exoplanets to study!

The big announcement came from NASA today — they are doubling down on earlier projections of planets that could contain life.

This artist's concept depicts select planetary discoveries made to date by NASA's Kepler space telescope.

“One of the great questions of all time, and one of NASA’s objective’s, is whether we are alone in the universe,” said Paul Hertz, director of astrophysics at NASA, at a conference. “We live in time where we can scientifically answer that question.”

Wired also posted a story tonight about the exoplanets but also new bragging rights that NASA can claim:

But that was the old way. Part of today’s announcement was trumpeting a new technique, developed by Princeton astrophysicist Timothy Morton. His method uses paired simulations, comparing values from previous exoplanet observations to current measurements. The first compares the flicker in question to other confirmed signatures of both exoplanets and imposters. The second simulation determines whether—given what scientists know about the total distribution of exoplanets in the Milky Way—the flicker in question makes sense as an exoplanet. Combined, the two simulations assign each flicker a statistical probability of being an exoplanet.

Don’t you think we will find life out there?

    [wp_ad_camp_3]

BUT DIDN’T WE FIND THE LIFE ALREADY!?I
know, I know.. Life is already been found, some of you would say. Others actually argue that the life came here to abduct people to experiment on them.. free range over cows and look for the meat? … all of those Linda Moulten Howe types of things. Hardcore UFO after midnight radio stuff..

There are even some who may claim that if life DID exist it surely does not now! That it has come and gone.. died away..

Remember, even this ‘structure’ that we have seen 1500 lights years away is 1500 years in the past—if the life was there could it have extinguished since?

By the time life finds earth will WE be gone?

All of these amazing questions! No answers, either. Which is why they are so much fun to ask.

The newest piece of information to make things more exciting: 1284 possible new planets that can harbor life .. in a zone where life could work, be real.. and exist.

…..I wonder if one of those planets is having an election this year?

It was first estimated to be 130 meters in size by NASA’s Near Earth Program. A better estimate for its size came from NASA’s NEOWISE, which gave a value of 470 meters, although this is considered anupper limit.2015 TB145 was discovered just over a week ago by the Pan-STARRS I telescope in Hawaii, and it has an estimated size of 320 meters. Just to give you a bit more of a scare than the ghosts and goblins who will be at your door, CNN pointing out this factoid that may bring chills to you:

It’s a good thing it will miss, though. The asteroid is estimated to be 300 to 600 meters wide and traveling at 78,000 mph. By comparison, the meteorite that exploded in the sky over Chelyabinsk, Russia, in 2013 was about 20 meters wide.

1444929678284This week, the buzz was clear.. there is a potential “megastructure” somewhere out there..  it is a structure, or thing in space, that blocks a lot of sunlight.. It may be a Dyson Sphere.. it may be well.. dust.. It could be something very exciting, or something exciting but just not contained within it life.  From a few days back:

    DISCOVERY’s website quoted:

A star, named KIC 8462852, has been found with a highly curious transit signal. In a paper submitted to the journal Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society, astronomers, including citizen scientists from the Planet Hunters crowdsourcing program, report: “Over the duration of the Kepler mission, KIC 8462852 was observed to undergo irregularly shaped, aperiodic dips in flux down to below the 20 percent level.”

The research paper is thorough, describing the phenomenon, pointing out that this star is unique – we’ve seen nothing like it. Kepler has collected data on this star steadily for four years. It’s not instrumental error. Kepler isn’t seeing things; the signal is real.

“We’d never seen anything like this star,” Tabetha Boyajian, a postdoctorate researcher at Yale University and lead author, told The Atlantic. “It was really weird. We thought it might be bad data or movement on the spacecraft, but everything checked out.”

Today I saw a headline speaking about the internet buzz. It asks what do “real scientists” think of the megastructure idea.. I found that to be a somewhat dismissive headline, no? Something that alleges, in a sense, that the researchers who found this thing to begin with are not real. . . ?

The megastructure story won’t go away.

Last week, one person responsible for pushing it to a wider audience was Art Bell on his show MIDNIGHT IN THE DESERT. His competition, George Noory, said the megastructure idea was debunked. Noory is wrong.  It is not debunked. Without further research from Kepler we are without an answer.. speculating about what could be but not knowing what is . It’s amazing and strange, mysterious and inspiring. All at the same time.

One man’s comments are worth listening to .. Michio Kaku has some extremely interesting words to CBS news.. Give it a whirl and see if you have the same dismissive thoughts after listening.

    The asteroid that won’t

Just when you wanted to relax on a Friday night.. this news is revealed: 2km-wide asteroid approaching Earth, NASA warns »

An asteroid big enough to kill millions of people is on its way to Earth but is expected to brush past, missing by a mere 25 million kilometers – a narrow distance by space standards, NASA said.

If all goes well death and destruction will stay safely away from earth..
    But boy is that close..

A shave that close is even more startling when you realize how recent we found out about this..

I heard an expert say a few weeks ago on Art Bell’s show that giant asteroids would most likely be known if they were close to earth.

I guess not all of them, eh?
