We learned some unfortunate news today as actress Jennifer Runyon has passed away at the age of 65. While her family did not disclose the exact cause of death, they shared that she was surrounded by love and family at the end after what they described as an arduous ordeal.

Runyon appeared in the 1984 blockbuster Ghostbusters in the memorable psychokinesis experiment scene, one of those small but recognizable moments that fans of the film still remember today. She built a steady career throughout the 1980s and early 1990s and became a familiar face across television and film during that era.

She had a lead role as Gwendolyn Pierce on the fan favorite sitcom Charles in Charge and also appeared on the soap opera Another World. Her television credits extended to appearances on series such as Quantum Leap and Murder, She Wrote, making her one of those actresses many viewers instantly recognized even if they did not always know her name.

For horror fans, Runyon also had roots in the genre, getting her start in the early 1980s slasher film To All a Goodnight. It was a modest beginning that helped launch a career that would stretch across multiple genres during one of television’s most recognizable decades.

Yet another star gone too soon, and one that many fans grew up watching across television screens throughout the 80s and 90s. May she rest in peace.

Corey Parker, the actor known for roles in Will & Grace and Friday the 13th: A New Beginning, has died. He was 60.

The actor died on Thursday in Memphis, Tennessee, following a cancer diagnosis

Risa Garcia wrote in part in a statement.

You were a massive part of my creative work, my creative family, for decades. It meant everything full circle when you joined our BGB community as a teacher, and we navigated the work together, all of us, always coming back to the truth and the potential of storytelling, of the actor’s endless power. You kept us all honest and brave and about art.”

Robert Carradine, the actor known for his roles in “Revenge of the Nerds” and “Lizzie McGuire,” has died at the age of 71.

Carradine battled with bipolar disorder for nearly two decades, which ultimately claimed his life, his family said in a statement to Deadline.

“We hope his journey can shine a light and encourage addressing the stigma that attaches to mental illness,” the Carradine family said.

Carradine’s daughter, actress Ever Carradine, paid tribute to her father in a post on Instagram.

“My dad was a lover, not a fighter. He was all heart, and in a world so full of conflict and division, I think we can all take a page out of his book today, open our hearts and feel and share the love,” she wrote.

Brad Arnold has died after a battle with kidney cancer. The 3 Doors Down singer was diagnosed in May of 2025. He was just 47-years old.

“With heavy hearts, we share the news that Brad Arnold, founder, lead singer, and songwriter of 3 Doors Down, passed away on Saturday, February 7, at the age of 47,” the band shared in a statement.

The band also shared that Brad “passed away peacefully” surrounded by his wife and family.

3 Doors Down, formed in 1996 in Escatawpa, Mississippi, rose to popularity in 2000 with the Arnold-penned single “Kryptonite,” which peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. Other hits included “When I’m Gone” and “Here Without You,” both top-five singles on the Billboard Hot 100. The band has been described as post-grunge, alternative rock and hard rock.

In 2017, he revealed that he had been diagnosed with stage 4 kidney cancer, a life-altering moment that forced him to step away from touring temporarily and reevaluate his priorities. Arnold publicly credited his Christian faith with helping him endure the physical and emotional toll of treatment..

Today we lost Catherine O’Hara, and it’s nothing short of heartbreaking. She was wonderful—an absolute treasure in Schitt’s Creek, Beetlejuice, and so many more critically acclaimed movies and television shows.

She was one of the best actresses of her generation, one of the most subtly funny people in Hollywood, and the entertainment industry was a better place because of her. Her work made us laugh, made us think, and made us feel a little less alone. It’s hard to imagine a world without her brilliant, singular voice and presence.

Catherine O’Hara’s body of work is staggering in its range and joy. She brought to life the unforgettable Moira Rose on Schitt’s Creek—a performance that earned her Emmy Awards and the love of fans around the world. She played Delia Deetz in Beetlejuice and returned to that role in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.

She was the devoted but frazzled Kate McCallister in Home Alone and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. O’Hara’s filmography also includes The Nightmare Before Christmas, Waiting for Guffman, Best in Show, A Mighty Wind, For Your Consideration, After Hours, and voice roles in Frankenweenie and The Addams Family.

On television, beyond Schitt’s Creek, she appeared in The Last of Us and The Studio, among others. From her early days on the sketch show SCTV to decades of iconic roles, she filled every performance with heart, humor, and humanity.
