Planet X: A Sunday morning blast from the past

There is a lot of garbage online about Planet X, Nibiru, the 10th planet, the 12th planet, or whatever name the experts and non experts have given it. Rumors circulate now that the planet can be seen from Antarctica. Others proclaim it will shake Earth this year and cause a pole shift. Experts on the flip side believe all of that to be hype, garbage, and fraud. There is no planet x, so they say.  But Captain Tripps didn’t exist in THE STAND, either..

Cue the blast from the past, the Washington POST in 1983, when an A1 story reported in depth about the giant heavenly body that some have since dubbed Planet X.

The POST reported then:

So mysterious is the object that astronomers do not know if it is a planet, a giant comet, a
nearby “protostar” that never got hot enough to become a star, a distant galaxy so young that
it is still in the process of forming its first stars or a galaxy so shrouded in dust that none of the
light cast by its stars ever gets through.

And so it goes.

Will it all end this year?
Will we be thrown into end times?
Planet X……
…Nah.
Don’t let it get you down.
