Of dreams and prophets: John Hogue and the prophecy of the Popes

Nostradamus expert John Hogue will be the primary guest on Coast to Coast AM with George Noory tonight. The show promises to be decent (even thought George Noory is hosting, hopefully he just allows Hogue to talk freely)..

Hogue gets into some of the gory details about how a Pope is chosen, how maybe a Pope was poisoned, and how the next one factors into prophecy. It’s a good article on the current state of the 112th potential pope, along with content to the 1139 visions that Irish St. Malachy supposedly had, naming the next 112 Popes that would come until ‘the end.’

Hogue predicts Cardinal Tarcisco Pietro Evasio Bertone will be the next Pontiff.

And it brings me to a dream I had several years ago…

I don’t believe I am ‘prophetic’ and often think dreams are just strange thoughts bound together by chance. However, the recent developments have me thinking back to my high school days in late 1999 (catholic high school no less) when I had a strange dream. In it, a new Pope was placed into the office by cardinals. I recall the dream vividly. The world was waiting with anticipation for the man to come out at St. Peters .. and in my dream, when he did, he gave a Nazi salute, much to the shock of the crowd, the world. I woke up immediately from that dream. And for some reason it rattled me to my core.
Most recently, when I saw an image of Cardinal Tarcisio Pietro Evasio Bertone, I realized that his face was the face of the Pope in my dream…. the dream came back to me immediately. It was always somewhat with me .. present in the back of my mind. We all have had a handful of memorable dreams that comes up from time to time.. .scary, happy.. whatever. But the dream of a Pope being diabolical? And his face matching the face of someone who exists now…?
Maybe he just has a face that … is popelike? I don’t know.
I don’t know.  Maybe there is no meaning to the dream Maybe it was a face that appeared by chance. . surely I don’t know what the Nazi hand salute would have meant, but at that time I thought it meant the world would be duped into believing someone who is bad is actually good..
Are we on the verge of something great for the Catholic church? Or does ‘the end’ warning that Malachy said in 1139 mean the great unveiling is coming… the Apocalypse?
