For whom the Bell speaks: Art Bell is coming back (*in a few years*)

Just as Coast to Coast AM cleans their Saturday slot of John B. Wells, show creator Art Bell has updated fans with new information.
He took to Facebook Friday night to release a statement.
Bell wrote,

Seems like time for a UPDATE. As many of you know I left Sirius/XM after a short stint because we were having serious problems with the streaming service. They refused a offer to allow free streaming until it could be fixed. They promptly replaced Dark Matter with Coast to Coast AM on the same channel (104). I could speculate here about why that was done but I will not. I felt it was not reasonable to ask people to pay about $180.00 a Year to try and listen to a stream that so many complained was not working right.

$180 was a steep sum of cash–I was one of the suckers who bought in to Sirius radio, only getting a few hours of worthwhile programming a night with DARK MATTER..
More Bell:

At this point they have come and collected their studio gear and have left.

That must have been quite the tense affair…?

I have asked to be released from my Non-Compete many times and they refuse, I have my own feelings about what has gone on behind the scenes and why at this point it matters to them, however it is what it is.

This clearly shows that there has been no major change in Sirius’ feelings concerning Bell’s departure–despite the fact the network was working behind his back to take away his repeats at night and replace it with Coast to Coast AM with George Noory, an announcement that become public once Bell called it quits on Sirius.

As far as new information, Art Bell wrote,

So I will wait it out, then start a show that will air for free on the Internet. I have a time segment in mind which I will announce as we get closer to that time. I am willing to give my all every time I crack the mike, but not for a show that has a built in limit on how large it can grow based on how good it is. So, that is where things stand today. Otherwise the Bell Family is happy and well. My thanks to all of you that have followed this tortured path with me. Art

The full Art Bell statement can be found here.

What is missing from Bell’s message is a timeline. However, if pure math is looked at, listeners may not be hearing Art Bell against on a regular basis until Halloween 2015–two years after his Halloween 2013 and final program on Sirius radio..

Since Bell has left, Artbell.com editor Keith Rowland has began a new paranormal based website that plays live and repeat streams of radio programs from across the web at http://darkmatterradio.net/.
