Franklin School Massacre and silence from D.C.

A full 10 hours have passed by without any significant response from anyone in national government. The Governor of Pennsylvania issued a statement, but crickets can still be heard from on higher..

Of course Jay Carney did say that Barack and Michelle are “sending prayers.” To me that seems as meaningless as the people on Facebook who ‘send prayers’ in comments on a post..

If this was gun violence, a bigger response would have been heard.

I think it’s time to stop judging crime based on the weapon picked.. I think it’s time to figure out why the kids aren’t alright…

Let’s see what prescriptions our still unnamed sophomore from the Franklin Regional high school was taking..

CNN story also describes how some students react to the chaos, stabbings. One student said that she heard a commotion the longer, and thought it was a fight. And she saw blood spurting and stabber run..

It sounds like true Scenicpark, worse most likely than even harder movie that has plagued theaters.

Emergency management officials have also said the principal had an altercation of some sort the boy, that the stabbings took place in the classroom and hallway, and that the school resource officer was the one who eventually handcuffed the sophomore after he stabbed at least 20 people ages 14 through 60..

Weird Wednesday summaries

It’s always a beautiful day to be alive, regardless of how wretched the surroundings may be. You’re a part of a magical and weird mystery–a bizarre trail into the unknown. Paths that often go no where, and places that seem dark and dangerous. But you’re alive to see it all. Count that as a gift. Or something.

Here’s the news of concern today..

A breaking news event is taking place in a Pittsburgh area high school where there are reports of multiple stabbings.. they occurred right after the school opened.. Knives don’t stab people. People stab people… One in custody..

There have been somewhat notable (MAYBE?) developments in that constant mystery being covered wall-to-wall by CNN: The black boxes are pinging. OR something is pinging.. Flight 370 may soon be found. If it’s not too deep. Or even if it is deep. Somewhere. I am still at a point where I have come to terms with this story: I believe nothing. I don’t believe any statement from officials, any word from government, or any news article from reporters. I believe nothing. Because everything I did believe was untrue..

20 years ago in Rwanda, hell on earth was unleashed.. hundreds of thousands were brutally hacked and killed with machetes.. now some more honest history is being revealed, including the chances that United States played a covert role in the plane crash that began the genocide..

Ebola news is getting scary.. it’s being called the ‘most serious’ of outbreaks in a long time..

Relatives of a 9 MONTH OLD baby CHARGED WITH MURDER have taking the baby and gone into hiding. This story comes from Pakistan.. Beyond comparison.. a baby charged with murder..

Vegetarians are now being said to have a lower quality of life and LESS of it compared to meat eaters.... but remember this: The study still had the meat eaters eating lots of fruits and vegetables, too.. A clear sign that moderation is key and a balanced diet approach is the best.. Now I need to somehow tell my 3-year-old son the problems with a poptart and pizza diet.

Just days after being inducted into the Wrestling Hall of Fame, the Ultimate Warrior, James Brian Hellwig, is dead.. He was 54–another body ravaged young by professional “fake” wrestling. I remember when I was a kid, that urban legend followed the Warrior around .. back then (and even now), it was said that the Ultimate Warrior did die and that there was a replacement Ultimate Warrior. I think it corresponded to a time when Hellwig got a shorter haircut and wore a little different face paint. But urban legends spread–and they did so even in a time when the Internet was only just a pipe dream of computer geeks. The Warrior’s entrance will not be forgotten.. And I don’t think any fan will ever forget the famed body bag match with the Undertaker..

Identical twins both found dead sitting in recliners–after 2 years! Neighbors thought they were just sating inside–the house was being kept and mail was not overflowing. But yet the two corpses sat decomposing for 2 years in the Tennessee home. But even with the fact that grass was being mowed for 2 years at a house with rotting corpses, cops are saying at this point that there is no evidence of foul play.. A story like this is proof of my contention that reality is much weirder and so often scarier than real life..

Peaches Geldof dead after recent Twitter controversy

The death of the daughter of musician and campaigner Bob Geldof and late presenter Paula Yates, has so far been described by police as ‘sudden and unexplained’.

I didn’t post anything concerning this yesterday when news broke, but I have been reading as much as I could about it.. The demise of this girl, only 25 years of age and a mother of two beautiful children, is dead.. The death is being said to be “unexplained.” Inconclusive .. all of those mystery words that are somewhat reminiscent of the death of Brittany Murphy.. Drug and alcohol tests are still coming in Geldof’s passing.

The last time I heard any news about Peaches was in November 2013.. She became the subject of an investigation after she Tweeted the names of two mothers in the Ian Watkins case.. The Watkins matter is disturbing.. Lostprophets’ Ian Watkins was sentenced to 35 years for a series of child sex crimes including the rape of a baby.. Watkins said he did not successfully rape the 11-month-old but did admit to attempted rape. That sentencing was in December 2013.

But let’s flash back to November.. Peaches published the names of the mothers involved with Ian Watkins—the mothers who gave their babies to him to be raped. On Twitter, Peaches said that newspapers knowing the names of the women should print them—she then published the names herself but quickly deleted the Tweets .. One Tweet she posted prior to the release of names said that Watkins was a talentless musical hero and that the mothers were “equal in monstrosity.” The release of the names set off a bitter debate online, and people took to defending Geldof for her right to tell. The amazing part—you know how they say ‘nothing ever vanishes from the internet once it’s printed? The tweet naming the two women vanished. Scrubbed.. like a bad page from 1984, there’s really no mention of it.. Nor is there a mention in the post-mortem summaries anything of Geldof’s insistence on naming the women who helped Watkins rape babies..

We fast forward to April 2014: Geldof is dead at 25.

In one her Gelfof’s final tweets before being found dead, she posted a photograph of her as a child being held closely by her mother… It read “me and my mum.”

I find it strange—maybe purely coincidental—that just a few months after this awful story of Tweets and sentencing occurred, with Peaches being directly at the center of the firestorm, she’s not dead.. And dead at 25. And leaving two children behind—something I doubt she would have wanted to do given her love of her own mother and how much she missed her..

But strange things happen. As do coincidences..

Peaches is gone too soon. Judging from the honest and fiery tweets I read, she seemed to be a grounded and good person.

And it’s those honest and grounded people who so often don’t live a full life these days.

Why does the sun go on aligning?

I was talking my dog late this evening .. there was a beautiful deep orange and red sunset dimming in the West.. I looked to the East while Mutley the dog was using his radar love to find ‘the spot’ to do his deed.. I saw Mars high in the sky—brighter than a typical planet and redder than anything else in the night twilight..It was a beautiful scene.

Immediately I thought about the photograph I saw this morning of the ‘light on Mars’—though it may turn out to be a simple camera anomaly, it’s deeply wondrous to conjecture up a civilization living on Mars, dodging out of camera sight when the Rovers snap away.. maybe they live underground? Maybe they are in those rocky red mountains.. Maybe it’s all just the mindless ramblings of an imagination while a dog owner patiently waits for his animal to use the gravitational force to find a spot to let loose.

And just then…

I saw the brightest, whitest, and most beautiful light slowly glaze across the night sky. It was huge… it was quiet.. and it was streaming through the air just below the sight of Mars in my vision.

Though anything with space is deceptive, the fireball streaking through my sky this evening was as bright and big as what a full moon would look like to the naked eye.. I do believe a tail was following it.. Most likely some sort of meteor or ….well, maybe even a space craft??

Nah… those little green men don’t exist.

But the brilliant light was shocking—so much so that the last thing I wanted to do was take my eyes off of it.. I didn’t even care to take out my phone and snap a photo—and really, it would not have been good enough to brag about anyway with an iPhone’s nighttime inabilities..

After I sat down for the evening with a warm cup of tea and cold slice of pizza, I remembered that tonight was the night when the Earth, Mars and the Sun will align tonight.. And this alignment is coming exactly a week prior to the Earth seeing the first in a series of ‘blood moons’—a type of astrological event that some paranoid folk would say portends some good ole’ end times. Just an simple internet search will showcase the oodles upon noodles of people from around the planet who fret the end of the world with the heavenly signs in the sky—John Hagee is one of those folks who said that tonight’s alignment begins a ‘hugely significant event’ for the world.

So he says..
And so lots of people say.

I just know this..

During a quiet moment of pondering my own insignificance and possibly the meaningless or meaningful nature of life—it really can go either way—I saw a big fireball streak across my eyes and vanish overtop of trees near my house.. I don’t equate my vision with anything except this: We are small here on earth.. it’s a dangerous universe out there and we don’t ever really know what will happen or where it will ..

We do know though that lots of prophets and parasites have come and gone, and they have done their damnedest to damn us.

As for John Hagee?

He always reminded me of someone..

Remember that scene from Stephen King’s STORM OF THE CENTURY where the entire town of people have the same dream of a minister preaching a fiery end times gospel and all of the townsfolk committing mass suicide by jumping into icy Atlantic ocean waters? That’s who John Hagee reminds me of..

Maybe the blood moons will be something big. Or maybe they won’t.

But remember this: Every day is the end of the world for about 150,000 or so people. Every day. And it’s the first day for thousands, too.
