HOMICIDE PROBE LAUNCHED INTO THE DEATH OF BB KING!

A REUTERS DISPATCH IS ROCKING THE MUSIC WORLD: BB KING’S KIDS SAY THAT THEIR FATHER WAS MURDERED!

MORE:

Nevada officials said on Monday they would conduct a homicide investigation into the death of B.B. King who died this month at age 89, after two of his daughters leveled accusations that the blues great was murdered.

The Clark County, Nevada coroner’s office said in a posting on Twitter that it had taken jurisdiction over King’s body, and that autopsy results would take a minimum of six to eight weeks.

“Our coroner takes jurisdiction over #BBKing body, performs autopsy. Results:6-8wks min,” it said, adding that a homicide investigation would be conducted along with the Las Vegas police department.

Two of King’s children, Karen Williams and Patty King, alleged that King was poisoned, ostensibly by two of his longtime associates including one who had power of attorney over his affairs, the Associated Press reported.

An attorney for King’s estate called the allegations unfounded and disrespectful, AP said…

TIM CURRY’S PENNYWISE LIVES TO DANCE ANOTHER DAY: DID A LAME GHOST KILL THE CLOWN?

POLTERGEIST, the remake, flopped in movie theaters this weekend.. for those who say the amount of money films make don’t matter, take this into consideration: New Line Cinema and Cary Fukunago have ended their relationship, and in jeopardy is a clown named PENNYWISE…

All credit goes to THE WRAP on this matter… they have an exclusive story lighting up horror websites today written by Jeff Sneider.. Sneider reports that the director, Fukunago, is OUT as the director of the IT remake.. Even more, all of this reporting credited to Sneider:

Insiders tell TheWrap that “True Detective” director Fukunaga repeatedly clashed with the studio and did not want to compromise his artistic vision in the wake of budget cuts that were recently demanded by New Line, which greenlit the first film at $30 million. The situation came to a head over Memorial Day weekend, leading to Fukunaga’s abrupt exit from the ambitious project.

“It” was originally set up at Warner Bros. before moving to New Line in recent weeks, which was one reason behind the unfortunate split. Shooting locations were another issue at the heart of the departure, with Fukunaga expressing a strong desire to film in New York, which is more expensive than other locales. Another source indicated that New Line was getting cold feet about the project in the wake of the less-than-stellar opening of “Poltergeist,” which featured a clown in its marketing materials.

I think it’s a bit mistaken to say that clowns won’t sell. There seems to be a mis-judgement on New Line’s part, in my opinion.. What people rejected is a remake of the movie they grew up with, came to love, and have good hearted nostalgia about. POLTERGEIST was amazing in its original form .. the remake was a sick joke remake. It did not have to be done.

On the flipside, I wholeheartedly believe that PENNYWISE THE DANCING CLOWN would be widely accepted in concept by most horror fans and movie goers.. Just secure an August or September release date.. and the theaters will work their magic..

I also do not believe that Memorial Day weekend is a time for horror.. Or horror remakes for that matter. The summer movie season desires box office biggies with bombs and bursts, explosions and disaster.. SAN ANDREAS or JURASSIC PARK stuff. Not horror.. August and September, along with early October, work best for that..

More information reported by THE WRAP:

It’s unclear whether New Line will hire a new director to immediately take over the project or go back to the drawing board for an entirely new approach, but one insider told TheWrap that “It” was dead as currently constituted. A studio insider acknowledged the film has been pushed indefinitely but did not go into the specifics of Fukunaga’s exit.

And maybe that’s fine..
Maybe Tim Curry’s IT portrayal will stand..
Maybe the movie will not be able to be outdone, even though it was made for TV..

I recall, as a child, being at my sister’s apartment when IT was premiering.. I was so excited, but she made my do my homework first–she didn’t want to face the wrath of Mom. I did my homework completely that night, and fast too.. and as a child, my love of horror and hatred of clowns were amplified by this amazing Stephen King story as an adaptation on TEE VEE.. Perhaps it should stay that way.

And it will for now..
So as long as NEW LINE gets nervous about horrific events happening to their horror releases, an ‘IT’ remake may stay a concept and not a product..

And call me crazy.. but it sure doesn’t seem that Stephen King has been too upset by the IT remake botch up..

REAL SKELETONS AND TRAGIC ENDS: THE MOST CURSED FILM OF ALL TIME?

Besties: Oliver and Heather were more than co-stars. They were so close they stayed friends after the film wrapped and saw each other frequently. She was devastated when

Marketing 101: Sell a remake with tales and intrigue of the original series. That was being done by the makers of the POLTERGEIST redo, but with a fourth place finish at the box office it may have all been done in vain.. regardless of that, the story of terror from the original POLTERGEIST film has always fascinated me—-it has been called the most haunted film of all time.

Or the ‘most cursed.’

That assertion came after the movie left in its wake a 12-year-old star dead of cardiac arrest, another strangled, and another killed with an ax.

The UK DAILY MAIL does its part in awarding the original POLTERGEIST film as the most cursed in movie history, and they write an in depth article that goes into the strange events surrounding the stars from the movie.

There are two parts of the DAILY MAIL story that intrigued me more than the supposed curse. First, Stephen Spielberg was very afraid of clowns. As am I, and many others..

I have always felt there to be something dastardly about clowns and their atrocious death face smiles.. And second: The scene in POLTERGEIST where the family was floating in the muddy pool-to-be with skeletons actually featured real bones from dead bodies..Hair and other traits were added to the remains, but the skeletons were real .. BLOODY DISGUSTING wrote about that in 2012 when they said that Hollywood today, less renegade than the early 80s, would never do such a thing. I agree.. And probably, really, it’s a good thing that bodies will not be desecrated  for profit.

By the way, when the original film was made, it was cheaper to get real remains than fake ones.

Think about that concept for a while.

But also remember, in your logical mind, that there were countless others who were not harmed in the making of POLTERGEIST..
Perhaps that is more telling the the few occasions and rarities of people actually succumbing to tragic finales..
And anyway, Stephen Spielberg has been the unstoppable presence on the movie scene. Certainly if a curse would be true, wouldn’t the man who demanded REAL remains for the final scene get the worst treatment?

Move over ice buckets.. The paranormal CHARLIE CHARLIE challenge has come to social media town..

Earlier today I, along with a varied amount of other sources, wrote about the newfound appreciation of an old game called CHARLIE CHARLIE.. Rooted in Mexican paranormal tradition, the game involves using pencils to summons a demon with a pair of people chanting “Charlie Charlie” followed by questions of their choice. And the cautionary tale goes: You must ask Charlie to stop playing the game.

Well the entire internet just blew up this Memorial Day weekend with the ‘Charlie Charlie Challenge’ on social media.. Oliver Darcy at THE BLAZE reports,

It’s dubbed the “Charlie Charlie Challenge” — and it has individuals everywhere attempting to summon a Mexican demon named Charlie through the performance of a paranormal ritual.

Individuals are instructed to form a cross with two pencils on a piece of paper. Inside the four boxes created by the pencils, one is supposed to write either “yes” or “no” and then ask if “Charlie” is present. If the pencil moves toward a box with “yes” that supposedly indicates the demon’s spirit is in the room.

There are two camps when it comes to a story like this, just as there is with the OUIJI board or any other attempt to herald some paranormal souls or demonic entities:
1) It’s all fake anyway so it doesn’t really matter..
2) It’s all true or at least partially true, and it’s a dangerous game for youthful ignorants to play around with ancient rituals.

You may have a multitude of thoughts yourself on the matter–I certainly do..
There is no paranormal story I ever wholeheartedly believe.. Nor is there ever ‘too much’ logic in the face of news events like this. But at the same time, there are mysterious things in this mysterious universe, with quantum mechanics in its infancy, I still believe anything is possible.

Along with the possibilities: Maybe even someone named Charlie answered the call of endless amount of people now showcasing their CHARLIE CHARLIE videos on the internet for the entire social media world to see..

Once again this year, paranormal tales are in the news. The mainstream news..

Hopefully all of our CHARLIE CHARLIE video victims remembered to end their game..

I don’t want to brag..

…But this was an amazing, wonderful, and memorable weekend. Not because of anything amazing but simply because it was simple.. Days at the park under blue skies with my son.. No plans, just winging it.. amazing weather .. Good food and fantasy..
All of it was just memorable.
And all without a phone. It can happen.

Hope yours out there was just as fine..
The summer season begins.
Now if only every day is like these days, I’ll love those days.
