China under fire for treatment of atheists during Winter Games

Representatives from several countries participating in the Beijing Olympics have taken issue with China’s behavior as a host country, pointing to inhumane conditions for quarantined athletes, unreasonable isolation rules and unexplained media suppression.

…judging from some images being shared around the Internet, the food sure doesn’t make it worth it either.

And maybe what makes it the lease worth of all for NBC is a fact that very few people are watching. Ratings of crashed, there seems to be a lack of interest, and the United States is it a gold medal drought.

The WHO apparently thought XI was the true variant of concern .. they skipped it when they named the new Africa strain Omicron

The World Health Organization announced Friday it was naming a new Covid-19 variant “Omicron,” skipping over a politically sensitive letter of the Greek alphabet.

The WHO made the announcement about the B.1.1.529 variant out of Johannesburg, South Africa, passing over a letter many observers presumed would be next — “Nu” — as well as the subsequent letter, “Xi,” which composes part of Chinese leader Xi Jinping‘s name.

    Mystery in South China Sea

A U.S. nuclear submarine hit an object in the South China Sea last Saturday, CNN reported, citing two defense officials.

A Navy official confirmed to The Hill that multiple people were injured and characterized the injuries as bumps and scrapes. The Navy declined to confirm the location of the incident, but in a statement said the incident occurred in “international waters in the Indo-Pacific region.”

“The Seawolf-class fast-attack submarine USS Connecticut (SSN 22) struck an object while submerged on the afternoon of Oct. 2,” the U.S. Pacific Fleet said in a statement on Thursday. “The safety of the crew remains the Navy’s top priority. There are no life threatening injuries.”

    More from published reports..

There are also no indications that the mishap was hostile or that the sub collided with another vessel, according to the official, who cautioned that information on the incident is preliminary at this point.

While two crew members suffered moderate injuries, no one required evacuation from the boat, according to the official, who declined to provide a total number of sailors injured but described those injuries as “bumps, bruises and lacerations.”

Chinese defector claims Wuhan Military Games was first Covid-19 superspreader event

But defector and democracy campaigner Wei Jingsheng made a stunning accusation in Sky News’ new documentary, What Really Happened In Wuhan, telling reporter Sharri Markson – who has also penned a book by the same name – that he believed the first Covid superspreader event could have occurred as early as October.

While the media publication is reporting this as a bombshell report, it has been a long rumored possibility. Some have argued that the virus originated as early as September, with other stating that it was around Italy in mid 2019.

The Wuhan games is included thousands of athletes from around the world, and as cases began to pop up in different portions of the planet in December 2019 and January 2020, it gives credence to the possibility that this was a mass super spreader event that truly began the pandemic officially before we even realized it was occurring.

There have also been documented reports of athletes becoming sick, and some athletes showing similar signs of the COVID-19 virus…

SAVE THIS TANK MAN IMAGE WHILE YOU CAN! DON’T BING IT

    image

Bing, the search engine owned by Microsoft, is not displaying image results for a search for “Tank man,” even when searching from the United States. The apparent censorship comes on the anniversary of China’s violent crackdown on protests in Tiananmen Square in 1989.

“There are no results for tank man,” the Bing website reads after searching for the term. “Tank man” relates to the infamous image of a single protester standing in front of a line of Chinese tanks during the crackdown.

Motherboard verified that the issue also impacts image searches on Yahoo and DuckDuckGo, which both use Bing.

On 32nd anniversary of the Tiananmen Square Massacre, we look to this photo was taken the day before the famous tank man photo. The Chinese regime massacred hundreds of unarmed protesters demanding democratic rule:

And this is a full image of TANK MAN, not just one tank.. no… NUMEROUS:

A Microsoft spokesperson told Motherboard in an email that “This is due to an accidental human error and we are actively working to resolve this.”..
