  • Ian Punnett set to broadcast final Coast to Coast AM radio show tonight

Ian Punnett set to broadcast final Coast to Coast AM radio show tonight

Tonight is set to become Ian Punnett’s last regularly scheduled hosting job on Coast to Coast AM, as and he Tweeted days ago, perhaps the regular program in his life..
Punnett, who hosted since 1998 in some form, has been accepted into the Doctoral program at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University..
Over the years, Punnett has exceeded the call of duty by quite possibly being one of the most intelligent debaters on radio, even fighting with Alex Jones in a famous interview.. Punnett also stayed true to what Art Bell started, often featuring the strange or weird.. He even interviewed a man who thought he was a horse — surely this will be discussed on his final broadcast..
This also begins a new day for Coast to Coast AM..
For years, Punnett was a regular Saturday host. That changed when he was stricken with tinnitus. At that point, he gave up his shift on Saturdays and John B. Wells took the slot..
During a recent chat, George Noory responded to a question about the loss of Punnett and said Wells would pick up another Sunday a month.
Some on the fringe in the audience have long been critical of Punnett for his disagreement with 9/11 truthers and his less than conservative viewpoint. The new modern Coast to Coast has been turned into a far more political program that Bell and Punnett’s version.. In a sense, Punnett was the last vestige of a time when free discussion, the unexplained, and just plain good radio was a nightly occurrence.

Ian Punnett (Twitter) has been hosting Coast to Coast AM since 2000. He bids us a final farewell on this, his last show. Listen for updates from Peter Levenda (occult history), Galen Cook (DB Cooper Case), and others as we drive down memory lane with Ian one last time

     Time Does goes by fast..
1998-2013, a good run for Punnett.
And his voice of moderation and intelligence will be missed after his departure from regular broadcasting..
    AND THEN THERE WAS KNAPP…
  • The CONJURING gets more praise.. from others and maybe soon from me.

The CONJURING gets more praise.. from others and maybe soon from me.

We have all been victim to torture porn and horror gone bad for a decade now.. gruesome and pointless images of death, no heroes in our films.. just hopeless horror made to shock and awe with gore, instead of inspire with the story of the women or men who beat the odds and make it out alive at the end. For decades, the part of horror so many liked was that a hero emerged.. the last decade gave us few heroes, instead hoisting over our heads the burden of bleak endings..
Anyone who has read the HORROR REPORT since 2001 knows I have not at all been a fan of the typical modern horror film. AS a matter of fact, this website always sort of …well..hated the current conception of the genre. I have disliked what Rob Zombie did to HALLOWEEN.. I have dislike the modern view of NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET.. I thought SAW was creative but sure wished they would have ended with just one..
    Well..
The CONJURING is attempting to bring back another form of horror long gone. .the classic style.
Today the NEW YORK DAILY NEWS is writing a story about THE CONJURING in that sense.. The paper points out all of the horror movies that topped the box office this year.. they are praising the CONJURING for not being what we have seen for the past too many years..
I have high hopes for this film.
AS mentioned before, I am not at all in ‘the mix’ to receive advanced press copies of this film.. Sure wish I was though. The CONJURING may end up not being the best film ever.. but just as JEEPERS CREEPERS was in 2001, it could be the sleeper of this summer..

    Time will tell.

The sweltering heat of the summer coupled with Friday night darkness in theaters.. will the CONJURING scare?
    I think yes.
And for all the right reasons.
  • Cory Monteith dead

    Cory Monteith dead

Star of GLEE, Cory Monteith, died yesterday.. he was found in his hotel room in Vancouver Canada on Saturday.. News broke and celebrities reacted..

Monteith was 31 years old.. According to reports, when Monteinh did not check out of his room, hotel staff found his body.. immediately rumors were abound on Twitter reporting his death and saying it was an apparent drug overdose.. The autopsy to determine if that rumor is true of if the cause was something else..

Either way, there is one aspect to the death with a creepy feel.

The star tweeted on July 7 that he was listening to FRIENDLY FIRES by Paris on repeat..  Fair or unfair, some are asking whether this factoid sheds any light on his death or if the song somehow inspired behavior that led to his demise only a few days later..

As of now, the star’s Twitter feed is still up.

His final Tweet was learning what a sharknado is.

  • SATURDAY NIGHT’S MAIN EVENT: ZIMMERMAN FOUND NOT GUILTY

SATURDAY NIGHT’S MAIN EVENT: ZIMMERMAN FOUND NOT GUILTY

Saturday night’s main event. Bars and restaurants filled with patrons undoubtedly are now suddenly embroiled in Saturday night conversations about George Zimmerman, Tweeting their thoughts, and lamenting the justice system if they disagree.. There will be outrage and rage.. some will be happy that the justice system, for all purposes, seemed to work. Work in the sense where a jury finds a defendant not guilty because the prosecution substantially failed in proving the case of Zimmerman murdering Trayvon Martin in cold blood… one night in Florida months ago. Tonight, when a jury of six women, five mothers, found Zimmerman not guilty, the justice system was exposed…It’s flawed and often wrong.. sloppy and long.. Legal briefs are abundant.. nights are late.. And the battles are more than skin deep. When Casey Anthony was found not guilty, so many felt a world of horror for her daughter who had no justice… And now tonight, many feel the same for Trayvon Martin.. Trends are trending on Twitter tonight. Facebook is alive and well with passionate opinions.. Bloggers are opining .. in person, many are rambling.  This trial intrigued the nation. And whenever a trial does that, it causes so much division. Maybe it’s time, as a nation, we come to grips with the fact that we are needlessly divided by race. When it comes down to it, what really divides us?  Are we divided by race? The class system?Religious differences?money..? Money. It somehow goes back to money. And money will be the issue now, as the civil litigation against George Zimmerman will begin. Most likely immediately. OJ was found not guilty last century. But the civil lawsuits got him—even before he got himself by getting caught robbing his own trophies… The George Zimmerman trial has played out, and now the outcome will play out.. It wasn’t 12 angry men, but instead 6 something women. Maybe if the jurors express their thoughts, we’ll find out if they were angry or happy with their decision..
