  • UNCLE SAM wants you to be apathetic

Even though I have stated repeatedly that I do not want politics consuming my life, last night I had a dream about Michelle Obama. During the dream, she was making a speech to a convention of the party faithful, and was sarcastically joking about making children in school lunches eat frog soup.. During the dream, the audience was eating it up, literally, laughing at her every word.. The President was proudly on a monitor watching her, laughing as well. But then her eyes changes shape and she said with a rough voice, “I will make you eat frog soup.” In  my dream the atmosphere changed.. the room got silent, and she began breathing heavy. Instantly, she was becoming a demon before her fans’ eyes and presumably on live network news coverage that would accompany a convention of that nature. And finally, right before I woke up, she seemed to look directly at my mind’s eye and said, at this point in a voice that resembled Freddy Kreuger,  “And you will eat frog soup too”…

While I may not truly know where the frog soup angle originated from, it’s no doubt that I had a political nightmare.. The advertisements are deluging me. And you .. News anchors with their script tells us what the election will mean. And then will remind us that their coverage tonight will be best..

And in the end, the true irony of this whole thing, is that apathy is going to dominate the election of 2014.. Are people mad at President Obama? I think so. I perceive anger among the people.. Economic conditions have been so slow to recover.. there are signs of good things but are so often hidden behind the murky waters of monetary instability.

Regardless, there will be a lot of people who do not vote today.

America may make a sea change, a dramatic re-setting of the course to a more Republican rule. The same thing happened in 1994, that time though Bill Clinton’s presidency was in its infancy and he had a way to work with Congress, change direction back to his own beliefs by triangulating with Dick Morris, and still had time to lie under oath about sexual relations with cigars and interns. The roaring 90s were amazing.. the only time in history that the evening news came with an X rating at time with nervous news dudes cautiously trying to explain why a stain on a blue dress was enough to potentially bring down a presidency.

In our current time, it’s very interesting to see the fervor over the previous few elections and compare it to the quiet zeal of a few today. Republicans may very well increase their lead in the House of Representatives and despite what Joe Biden said in some early damage control gone wrong, take the Senate. There is also the very big likelihood–even if Republican gains are held off by Democrats–that this is the beginning of the famed ‘lame duck’ portion of the Obama presidency..  From the winds of change and massive audiences of 2008, and young people continuing to vote in 2012.. we have this: A probable election victory for the opposition with so few casting ballots.

Don’t get me wrong, a victory will be a victory.
But the apathy is what is truly winning..

So that is the story from this morning patriotic glory.. Michelle Obama’s evil menu haunted my night and now, as the day progresses, politicians will continue to smile with their unnerving fright..

They are look so strange though, don’t they? The elected officials and people trying to unseat them have a creepy feel..

    They Live..

And today is the day for them to haunt..

  • The political wind coming from the cesspool nearby

The political wind coming from the cesspool nearby

I am becoming redundant.. I just wrote about the deluge of politics just three days ago. But this newest rant I am about to go on is inspired by a horror movie inspired political ad being used by the governor of my state in his bid for re-election.. A certain part of me thinks that horror icons are sacrosanct, and that they are off limits to people of a political nature..

    Because here is the thing.

I consider myself well informed on issues of political importance. I even often link up and write little quips and opinions about political situations, news of the day, and act as a bit of a small-website-that-does-not-matter pundit..

But I am so tired of politics right now..
I think it’s because, being this time of year, we are inundated with political ads, constant Facebook links, and over-bloated blowhards on TEE VEE telling us why their opinion rates higher than the other overweight blowhard..

There are a few things I have taken away from life, only 34 years into it.

First thing: Nothing will ever change. Every election will have the same shape and form.. a different party may escape with the victory, but the same tired party will always win. No new independents.. no new beliefs.. same old, same old. The lesser of two evils becomes the evil when elected, and the new guy always wears a brighter shade of gray.

Second, we will always complain that ’s election has been the meanest and dirtiest ever. No it has no been.  Maybe the cruelty has shifted and been served up in different mediums, but it is still the same as it ever was..

Third, we will still vote for the people we say we hate. That’s right.. we will complain until we step into the polling place. When don’t pull levers now, but instead touch screens. And when we do, we will vote for the same people who we have complained about for the previous two to four years. The reason? We like the security of sameness, we fear change, and we especially love the pork and sausage of financial gain that brings home every year. New sports complexes that no one visits, new arenas in towns no one heard of, and bridges to no where. Or somewhere. And we love it.

There is one more thing we will undoubtedly do after the election. We will say we did not vote for the person who won, because so often the winners immediately become unpopular and go through the same cycle of public criticism..

I often want to take a break from politics. The heat of the campaign trail is not a dry one, but instead drenched in the filth and sweat of overwhelming lies and innuendo.

I think all of the ‘news’ sites I follow on Facebook may have to change. I am growing really weary and tired of how they make everything political. Things that should not be.. like the clown thing in France.. or Ebola. Or Halloween costumes. For Christ’s sake, just let us be.. Let people be people. Give us a break from the Republican vs Democrat nonsense. If we all took a poll, a real one, we’d realize how we don’t mostly agree with either one of the two parties’ platforms.

And we will complain and decry the two party system.
And we will demand a third party..
And we will still pick the same party we claim is the lesser of the ‘two evils,’ ignoring the potential endless amount of saints that could actually come out way if we just paid a little attention to the ballot beyond the first two lines.

  • OBEY

    OBEY

We are all lost in a sea of political nightmares … This time of year comes packed with stories of the right and the left doing very bad things.

Democrats will link us posts on Facebook showing how evil Republicans are, the opposite takes place from our Republican friends, lambasting Democrats for their immoral acts.

There are people behaving badly on both sides of the aisle, and frankly I just don’t care anymore.

I will vote this year as I do every year, but I just don’t care who wins..

It will be the same thing next year and the year after that, we will have the same tired debates about taxes and government reform, spending, national, and foreign-policy. But the debate will constantly echo into infinity, the band will play on, and the balloons will drop over yet more conventions in presidential elections to come.. all the while no changes will occur to bring relief to the economic climate that has engulfed America..

Call me negative, or just say I’m realistic. Either way I believe that this political season was just like the last one and will be just like the next one.

I chuckle when I hear people saying “the political process is the worst it’s ever been” or “I have never seen this negative of the campaign” .. Then you have not been paying attention. It has been this negative before and will be again, the best man has never won, and those who have any sense of honesty or decency so often or laughed out of Congress by the people, folders, who claim they want honesty and decency in government.

Chances are you never heard the name Cynthia McKinney. You should have, but chances are you won’t even look her up after reading this…

So in that regard we may be the reason that nothing ever changes, the fact that we keep posting those hateful messages about the other party on Facebook but looking at her own with rose-colored glasses ignore all of the sins our own party commits..

We keep voting for the same people and expecting different results, leading me to conclude that there is some form of insanity at the heart of the American dollar

Negative advertising has always been around, mostly because of how effective it is and it’s major getting people to vote. People respond to fear much more than hope.

We can lie to ourselves and say the opposite is true however, we know this: Many presidents would not have won an election without besmirching the character of the other person, and many candidates would never of been reelected unless they struck fear into the hearts of the voters especially in saying all those “dangerous” things the other guy would do. The 2002 election was a prime example of the primal fear used: Terror and war. Even this year, because it it’s throughout the nation are using as a kid! He disease has now become a debatable topic in American politics..

So if you’re ready to tell me I am wrong, save it. Like mentioned before I will vote. And that’s about that, I will fulfill my civic duty and I will share my political ballot in the process. But I won’t expect much in return, as a matter fact I will expect nothing but the contrary of what those who wins say they will do.

Twas always thus and always thus shall be..

  • The jumper got into the White House

The jumper got into the White House

When a quiet Friday night was ruined by a White House fence jumper named Omar Jose Gonzalez, I made the joke on the HORROR REPORT that perhaps someone in the Obama Administration’s security team needed to watch  WHITE HOUSE DOWN to see how bad things could get.. Little did I realize how close to a scary accurate that joke was..

I was ch2014-09-23T202152Z_377959200_TM3EA9N195I01_RTRMADP_3_USA-WHITEHOUSE-SECURITYilled tonight to read the latest information regarding Mr. Gonzalez’ jump into the White House. Initially we were all calmed down as a nation and told that, even though the President was boarding his helicopter only minutes before, his life was not in danger.. Officials said that the jumper was stopped at the front door of the White House—though they admitted he did step foot into the mansion, he was quickly apprehended.

    We were lied to..
    Big time.
The real news is much worse..

According to the latest information appearing tonight in an article by Carol Leonnig in the Washington POST, the jumper not only made it into the White House but actually sprinted through the front door, knife in hand..by the First Family’s living quarters..

Perhaps you should pause here and understand the consequences.. A knife in hand, Omar Gonzalez barreled past the front door (and whoever guarded it), ran into the 80-foot long East Room. With a knife…

And the best part, as Leonnig reports,

An alarm box near the front entrance of the White House designed to alert guards to an intruder had been muted at what officers believed was a request of the usher’s office, said a Secret Service official who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

While no one has yet to call this an assassination attempt, what else could it be labeled? Call me zany, but.. when an intruder rushes across the South Lawn, all the guards, security boxes, and could have potentially made it where the President, First Lady, and children live and sleep—with a knife—that is an attempt to do something… that is something more than a simple “I wanted to talk to the President” type of insanity.. This is a much worse example of lax security..

    ….or something else?

I don’t want to create conspiracy theory where there is none, but when the initial event happened on September 19, someone who is immersed with theory of all political nature wondered aloud if someone permitted Gonzalez to enter the White House.. perhaps a message being sent to the President? Perhaps someone in the security detail attempting to infiltrate the nation with crisis? I don’t know. But I do know this: When I read this information tonight that the intruder not only got onto the lawn without anyone stopping him–including all of those snipers we are told famously wait on top of the White House for just this type of moment–and then got into the place where our President lives… that hit me like a ton of bricks..

Another comment I received tonight on the matter: “Before we know it, we will be told that this guy got into the Oval Office and smoke some of Clinton’s cigars still there.”

    More from the POST:

After barreling past the guard immediately inside the door, Gonzalez, who was carrying a knife, dashed past the stairway leading a half-flight up to the first family’s living quarters. He then ran into the 80-foot-long East Room, an ornate space often used for receptions or presidential addresses.

Gonzalez was tackled by a counterassault agent at the far southern end of the East Room. The intruder reached the doorway to the Green Room, a parlor overlooking the South Lawn with artwork and antique furniture, according to three people familiar with the incident.

We also are being told this tonight by the National REVIEW (hardly a political friend of the President): The Secret Service has permitted 1,000 security breaches. The article claims that these lapses are the result of political correctness…

During a time when we are told of the endless dangers of ISIS–along with their knives–how can the Secret Service not stop an intruder? And one armed with a knife on top of that?  I shudder at the prospects of what would have happened if President Obama and family had been there..

I was shocked when it first happened, and even more shocked when the news broke that the intruder got into the White House. But tonight, with the news of a madman on the loose in the White House brandishing a knife, I was floored.

Quite frankly, there is no excuse for this big of a security lapse.

Without any pun being intended, heads should roll and people who did not do their jobs should be fired immediately. The lives of the First Family cannot be at risk in the hallowed halls of America’s house.

    Twas the day before 9/11

Obama prepared to order airstrikes in Syria as part of strategy against Islamic State »

Foreign-policy experts he consulted with say he believes he doesn’t need Congress’s approval.

It was discussed tonight over dinner, the WASHINGTON POST reports..

It reminds me of being in my early 20s again.. the debate on the TEE VEE sets around the nation: Does George W. Bush have to get Congressional approval to go to war… Democrats said yes. Republicans said no.

Fast forward.. another enemy, or the same.. but another war coming, it would seem.. and this president now believes that he does not have to get any official Congressional approval to act against ISIS. Or Syria. Or someone, somewhere.. or everyone, everywhere..?

    This from the POST:

Administration officials have been working in recent days to enlist the support of the nation’s political establishment to help sell their strategy to the American public, which Obama will address in a prime-time speech Wednesday night. The president met with the top four congressional leaders Tuesday, while his aides held briefings on Capitol Hill.

And there are a few more things at play..besides an approaching war.. First, there are Congressional elections this year. Second, there are high emotions the night before the anniversary of 9/11.. third, how would the world react.. And how imminent is it?

The POST has something on that:

There is no indication that a U.S. strike in Syria is imminent, and the Obama administration has signaled that a stepped-up U.S. effort in Iraq, in conjunction with an international and regional partnership, is probably the first step in combating the Islamic State’s advances.

I still recall when the President went to the airwaves to announce that America needs to strike Assad in Syria—and arm the rebels.

    The tables surely have turned.

The real question I ask is this: Does America really want to hear about a new potential battle the night before they honor the souls who perished 13 years ago?

Intrigue: The President ending his vacation this weekend?

President Barack Obama is returning to Washington D.C. this weekend.. and after dozens of rounds of golf while the world caught on fire, people are raising eyebrows and asking: Why?

Justin Sink of the HILL tonight is reporting that the President is making a very expensive trip back to Washington DC this weekend, and then returning to Martha’s Vineyard next Tuesday..

Perhaps an announcement of some kind? Maybe war plans.. perhaps something important is bringing the president back..

It’s certainly no secret: The world is a mess with war and murder at the present hour.. We are being told tonight that the ultimate of horrors is happening in Iraq: Children are drinking the blood of their parents to survive.. Of course we need to be careful with wild claims such as this.. Babies, after all, were never really thrown from incubators by Saddam Hussein even though a part of the war in 1990 was sold on that lie.. These new claims involve the stranded Iraqis on Mount Sinjar.. And the social media world is shocked as a British rapper turned ISIS fighter is being pictured on Twitter holding his first severed head..

    Blood lust..
    Blood moons..
    Bloody sacrifices..

    The world is on fire..

And back in America: New Jersey is abuzz after a man began flying an ISIS flag outside of his home..

But that’s the world we live in.. as summer begins to wane, and the chills of autumn set in, what will the world look like?

    Same as it ever was..

The President will return to Washington DC for… Undetermined.

Maybe he’ll talk about what Chuck Hagel said.. that the “world is exploding all over.” The same world that, as summer began, was called less violent than it has ever been” before .. According to President Obama.

The news of the day, the ‘gates of hell’ opening, all seem to remind me of something low key from Alicia Keys at the 2013 Obama Inauguration. Keys sang that “OBAMA’S ON FIRE” in a strange and creepy tribute.. she said Obama’s going to let it “burn baby burn baby” in a odd change of lyrics from her hit song.. And yes.. since that moment, the world caught a blaze of war and turbulence..

    ‘HE’S LIVING IN A WORLD AND IT’S ON FIRE>
FILLED WITH CATASTROPHE, BUT HE KNOWS HE CAN FIND A WAY

HE’S GOT BOTH FEET ON THE GROUND, AND HE’S BURNING IT DOWN”

    Paging Chuck Hagel…

Bob Beckel: I’ve Done Dope in The White House »

He was reacting to Snoop Dogg’s bragging rights that he did dope in the first family’s not so humble abode.. Beckel, one of the few Democrats permitted air time on FOX NEWS, said:

“I can’t criticize this guy (Snoop) because I’ve done dope in the White House myself”

    That..

And to put this in perspective: Obvious shenanigans are taking place in the White House—I would venture to say that pot was the least of the sins in the past 200 + years—but a teenager is facing life in prison in Texas over pot brownies.  You’re half baked if you don’t see something wrong with that picture..

    “Engage captive audiences”

No joke, no matter how funny you once thought the concept was: Smart surveillance is here. And the newest form of it that may be rolled out onto your street soon is a talking camera that will not only monitor your every step and stop but also be able to talk to you, too.
More here from Alex Jones’ Prison Planet on the surveillance equipment, utilized in the UK, that is being prepped to head to streets in the United States. It can record conversations.. But it will have efficient lighting, or so the press release says.

Marketwatch has the full press release which details the Smartsite ‘state of the art’ surveillance future.

It won’t just be your street corner watching you. The press release states the future this way:

SmartSite is perfectly suited for installation in retail malls, sports venues, on college campuses, and in new construction. A full Activity-Based Costing analysis that would also factor in issues such as more efficient traffic routing during road repairs, special events and emergencies would further strengthen the argument for retrofitting. As the cost of the individual components comes down through economies of scale, the SmartSite system might well become commonplace

The future is now.  One so dark you’ll need to wear shades.
