Back under the DOME.. with some better thoughts than original

The HORROR REPORT has reviewed the Stephen King made for TV adaptation of UNDER THE DOME in the recent past–and we did not give it high praise..
But as time rolls on, we admit we are getting to like it more..
The storyline is still quirky, and the acting is still tacky at time–that whole idea that one of the main antagonists looks just like Andy Sandberg previously from Saturday Night Live is still tough to digest..
Last night’s edition was interesting. The military decided it was time to break the dome into pieces, shattering it into little jagged edges of dome glass. Thanks to the perfect placement of someone who can read lips, we learn from a soldier outside the dome that the government will bomb the strange creation at 1:15 pm…
Chaos inside ensues. I do think there would have been more of a panic, but perhaps the notion that people have been stuck in the dome so long allows them to be much calmer about such things than others would be.
And I am going to ruin the ending of the show last night for you (though you should assume this): The missile fails. But it did lead to a pretty climatic end scene Monday night, even adding in the sounds of the classic song by Skeeter Davis THE END OF THE WORLD..
And now the few seconds of previews for next week show us that it can rain in the dome. Should be fun..
While I don’t take back my original negative review, I am now willing to let the entire series run its course before I pass a final judgement. If other programs are like last night, it’s an indication I may come to give this more thumbs up than I originally was going to..
Don’t they know it’s the end of the world, it ended when I lost your love
