    PURGE INSPIRED KILLINGS MAKES HEADLINES

Johnathan Cruz, referred to his alleged 4-day killing spree in Indianapolis as a ‘purge’ and makes reference to the popular movie,Independent reports…

    MORE..

    THE UK METRO REPORTING,

On May 12, both Billy Boyd and Jay Higgenbotham were found dead in the street – one with a gunshot wound to the head and another with multiple gunshot wounds, according to police.

Three days later, the body of Jose Alberto Ruiz was found in his car with a gunshot wound to the neck.

Within the same time frame, other seemingly random crimes were occurring in the area, including a robbery, intimidation and criminal gang enhancement.

Police believe there may have been a gang connection..

According to additional information about Cruz, he was keeping his mother updated about the violence with live updates!

Court documents allege that he had no remorse for his murders. In the documents, he is quoted telling a girl he held at gunpoint, “Another body wouldn’t mean anything.” He even videoed some of his alleged crime spree on his phone, including one where he shoots a gun out of a car vehicle. He did not kill the girl, only targeting men.

“Better go on Face book and watch da Videos of me shootin people,” Cruz wrote in a text to his girlfriend. “I Purge every night now.”

According to court documents, Cruz’s mother texted him asking what he was doing, and he sent back a screenshot of an article about the murders. He then allegedly said he would get a new phone so authorities wouldn’t see what he just sent.

The killings were called a ‘Purge’ but the only real connection thus far being made is by officials, who say that he was inspired by the film — but how? Inspired because of using the word Purge? Inspired to do similar crimes? ..

More on that will undoubtedly be released.

But it also gives the media good fodder to attack the horror genre..

METRO gives examples of how other movies inspired real life killings, such as CHILD’S PLAY 3 and AMERICAN PSYCHO, and even gives a  worthwhile notation to the song HELTER SKELTER by the Beatles..

  • Walmart is developing a drone

    Walmart is developing a drone

    Walmart is developing a drone:

The drone technology will be replacing the jobs of inventory quality assurance employees, cutting inventory checks across massive distribution centers (the one in Bentonville is 1.2 million square feet) from one month down to a single day.

People need to realize how quickly robotics and androids are going to replace people in the service economy..
    The issues are huge.
And not one presidential candidate is speaking about the 5-10 year job market prospects in the post-android revolution..

  • Why I will not be Damning the Turtles to Shell

Why I will not be Damning the Turtles to Shell

Yes.. The reviews will be bad. Poor. Lackluster..

    This is my PRE-watching review.

The few already on Rotten Tomatoes claim the TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES sequel is pitiful..

By any measure I stopped caring years ago what critics said. The movies they lambaste often prove decent. Those they proclaim to me are too many times unwatchable ..

In the case of TMNT2? My son is excited for it.

And maybe because of both parental and nostalgic reasoning, but I’m nostalgic too.

And I’ll admit this: I enjoyed the first movie. Despite Michael Bay. Despite the negative press.. Despite all that, I enjoyed it.

I think it’s a ‘summertime’ thing. You can suspend your good taste and imagination long enough to enjoy a mindless blockbuster. The TURTLES seem to fit the build enough to say that it will be a movie, quite honestly, that I enjoy.

As a family we will chow down on popcorn. We will stare longingly at Megan Fox but not her thumbs. And we as a collective audience at the film will laugh and cheer in spite of ourselves.

After all it’s summer. And my son can’t wait to see the NINJA TURTLES on the big screen.

This is big for him. And it will be for me.

  • THE CLYDE LEWIS EFFECT

    THE CLYDE LEWIS EFFECT

My body may regret it but my mind is not.. last night, I stayed up into the early morning hours listening to Clyde Lewis. It was one of his best shows, entitled Mandela Gaslighting Dilemma.  You can read the posted article or listen to the past show on Soundcloud through the Ground Zero site..

Time itself and time slips are some of my favorite subjects. The very essence of time is noticeable by its fleeting seconds. But the ‘slips,’ or Mandela effects, are noticeable only when you stop and realize something you believed your entire life to be true was wrong. Like the Berenstain/ein Bears.. or King Henry’s turkey leg picture that never existed.

    Clyde Lewis made this point,

As we have discussed in previous shows, hyperreality is a term coined by Jean Baudrillard which is associated with the effects of mass culture reproduction, or rebooting suggesting that an object, event, or experience can be reproduced and is later replaced and or preferred over the original. When we are subjected to media hyper inoculations of information, our minds can interpret it in various ways that could create one version of history rather than what is accepted history. However, the believers in the Mandela Effect suggests that events can be changed after the fact through retroactive reality shifts.

It is as if, little by little, small facts or tidbits of information have been changed intentionally by what can be called reality controllers, an Orwellian idea where in the book, 1984, Winston Smith worked as a clerk in the Records Department of the Ministry of Truth, where his job was to rewrite historical documents so they matched the constantly changing current party line.

    Interesting take.
History created. Manufactured. What do you believe?
    What CAN you believe?

The HORROR REPORT has done some extensive past stories on this entire notion of time slipping.. Read it here. Among my favorites: The King Henry turkey leg, the SINBAD movie that never existed, my very personal time slip story from when my father was in the hospital, and an article posted on my essay site NIGHT TERROR NEWS, a ‘child’s first time slip’..

A few of my friends have told me through the years talking about this subject to just stop.. just forget it.. It’s all in the mind. The real slip is the brain slipping.
But.. time slips seem laughable. Until they happen to you. When it does, a chill comes over your soul, a question forms in your mind, and you wonder aloud what in the world you are doing here and whether you’re timelime has been ransacked by time itself.
