JOE BIDEN TAKEN TO THE DOCTOR FOR ANKLE INJURY. REPORTERS NOT PERMITTED TO WATCH HIM ENTER SPECIALIST OFFICE

In a brief statement, Biden’s office said the incident happened on Saturday and that the 78-year-old Democrat would be examined by an orthopedist on Sunday “out of an abundance of caution.”

Biden later visited an orthopedic specialist in Newark, Delaware. Reporters traveling with him were held on a bus and could not see the president-elect enter the building.

THE UTAH MONOLITH: COMES AND NOW GOES

Just days ago, news in Utah was weird: A team of public safety officers discovered a mysterious monolith in a remote part of Utah – and said they have no idea who put it there…

About a week and a half ago, this strange monolith was found by workers counting sheet from a helicopter.. It was a 3 sided object sitting about 12 feet high.

This is what NBC news reported on November 24,

A helicopter crew with the Utah Department of Public Safety Aero Bureau was assisting Wildlife Resources on Wednesday to count bighorn sheep in southeastern Utah, the department said.Pilot Bret Hutchings said one of the officers spotted the object in a remote area of red rock — something that appeared to be a scene right out of “2001: A Space Odyssey.”

“He was like, ‘Whoa, whoa, whoa, turn around, turn around!’ And I was like, ‘What.’ And he’s like, ‘There’s this thing back there — we’ve got to go look at it!’” Hutchings told CNN affiliate KSL. “We just happened to fly directly over the top of it.”

Hutchings said the origins of the silver metal monolith still remained a mystery, but it appeared to be a “new wave” art installation that stood “between 10 and 12 feet high.”

A number of people online posted that the object may have been there for about 3 or 4 years before being discovered.

Yesterday, USA TODAY posted that the monolith was “hollow” and “not magnetic.” The “hollow” claim came from an Instagram post here:

Since its finding, many came to see it over the past week..

    And now..
    Drumroll….

    IT IS GONE!

People arriving tonight after a long trek to the monolith are arriving to …nothing. It’s gone.

Earlier this week, the Bureau of Land Management said, “It is illegal to install structures or art without authorization on federally managed public lands, no matter what planet you’re from”, which is why so many believed they took it off the land.

The Bureau of Land Management in Utah released a statement tonight stating that the “illegally installed structure” has been removed from public lands by an “unknown party.” They claim that they did not remove the structure, and do not investigate crimes involving private property..

The Bureau said that a person or group removed it Friday night…

    A quick changing event

Just a mere 11 hours ago, even CNN had a news article showcasing how easy it was to find the metal monolith. They wrote,

The state public safety officials who discovered it by helicopter November 18 didn’t disclose its location, saying they didn’t want curiosity seekers to become stranded in the remote landscape and need to be rescued.

But several people successfully located the monolith, tucked in a redrock slot canyon south of Moab. And according to three explorers who made the pilgrimage, it was easier to find than you might expect.

And now all that is left?

    The triangle from the top..
And a hole in the ground.

There is reporting that it was in a remote location.. One post stated that the object was 2000 feet near a camp site with hundreds of campers.. So.. 2000 feet off a trafficked off roading site? Or remote location! Depends on your means of transportation of perhaps!

Was it stolen? Did the artist reclaim his piece after discovery?

So many possibilities on the weird object..

  • COVID-19 and the Long haul Hell

COVID-19 and the Long haul Hell

A vast number of people who get COVID-19 recover.. There is no fear and no scare necessary to speak that truth. However, there is a mystery of those who are completely healthy that have harsh case, and those who you’d think wouldn’t last a day with it that end up being largely asymptomatic. Is that just the game of chance? Science needs to research that.

What however is becoming an increasingly troubling piece of information, about 5% or so of those who get COVID not only don’t recover, but instead carry strange symptoms for the “long haul.” With the virus being new, it is difficult to tell just how long the “long haul” will be for this subset of those afflicted.

A well respected doctor who we have been following since even before the pandemic began in 2020 is James Campbell. His daily updates have made him a household name around the world. His November 28 2020 update actually discusses the long haulers in great detail, and it is worth the viewing:

One person who has been writing about this scary feature is Paul Garner, who warns for people to try not to dominate the virus. He wrote this recently,

I believe there are thousands of people with long haul covid-19 who are overdoing it and making themselves ill with these relapses, across the whole spectrum of conditions. Many have fatigue, and overreaching causing relapse seems common. NICE guidelines from 2007 emphasise an individualised approach, and this is correct. We need people around us that listen and treat us with kindness, as we learn how to learn how to accommodate the illness. Websites and self-help apps may help, but alone are insufficient. A group of four of us have formed a pacing group, meet online weekly, and support each other daily. It really helps.

To make things even scarier, a new potential “long hauler” syndrome is being reported.. While at this time it is not official and anecdotal only, many of those who are suffering from the longer affliction are noticing that they are suddenly losing their teeth!

Even the New York TIMES has been reporting information on this newest strange event of those who had COVID-19.

Teeth falling out without any blood loss is unusual, Dr William Li, president and medical director of the Angiogenesis Foundation, a nonprofit that studies the health and disease of blood vessels, said.

He said his team were investigating some of the ‘bewildering’ problems Covid-19 patients are having months after illness.

Dr Li said it’s possible that the virus damages blood vessels that keep the teeth alive, and that’s why there is no pain when it falls out.

The horror of 2020 complete! The OFFICE will be taken off Netflix December 31, 2020

This show grew in popularity even after it ended in 2013.. and 2020 saw a huge rebound as people discovered and rediscovered it during COVID-19 quarantines..

But now the long feared end is nigh.. on the final night of 2020, no less..

Indeed, NBCUniversal – which owns the streaming rights to The Office – let the show’s license to Netflix expire once they formulated plans to build out their own streaming service.

They saw the popularity of the show skyrocket..

They will now move the program to their streaming platform PEACOCK.

Peacock actually has two tiers – one is free and comes with over 13,000 hours of programming (with ads), while Peacock Premium is just $4.99 a month and features more than 20,000 hours of programming. They have not yet revealed if The Office will be available on the free tier, or if it’ll be exclusive to the Premium tier..

  • And they are….NOT OFF!

    And they are….NOT OFF!

One of our yearly traditions since we began this website back in 1999 was the imagery and pageantry of Black Friday madness! Brawls and fights.. people going out to shop but landing in a coma, all while old terrible quality cell phone videos caught the rampage..

    None of that this year.

    NOTHING.

It was quite quaint and orderly. We did not even get sent one fight, one punch… one scream.. The masks kept those who actually shopped quite quiet!

The AP captured the event for history like this, with Alexandra Olson writing,

The raging coronavirus pandemic kept crowds thin at malls and stores across the country on Black Friday, but a surge in online shopping offered a beacon of hope for struggling retailers after months of slumping sales and businesses toppling into bankruptcy.

    Talk about depressing!

But is it all the virus?

For years, we have seen spending habits changing.

Big box chains have been slowly bleedings for years, and “local Saturday” shops have been closing.. Cyber Monday has immersed from the shuffle with the grand prize!

    A graphical representation:

This year, Black Friday is a story of the haves vs the everyone else!

People in line for a Playstation 5 may have been equipped with the hundreds to spend to get it, but were shocked to hear their local game stop only had 2 per store for the most part!

Meanwhile, the rest of the country is seeing a spike in hunger and food lines..

While you may not see in on the American media cable channel of your choice, the world is watching a nation spiral out of control..

    The UK GUARDIAN reports,

In what is traditionally a season of celebration, less than half of US households with children feel “very confident” about having enough money to afford the food needed over the next month, according to the US Census Bureau’s latest pandemic survey. A staggering 5.6m households struggled to put enough food on the table in the past week.

Families of color are suffering disproportionately with 27% of black and 23% of Latino respondents with children reported not having enough to eat sometimes or often over the past week – compared with 12% of white people.

Overall food insecurity has doubled since last year due to record unemployment and underemployment rates. For families with children, hunger is three times higher than in 2019, according to analysis by Diane Whitmore Schanzenbach, director of the non-partisan Institute for Policy Research at Northwestern University.

Another British publication, the UK DAILY MAIL, is showcasing a starving nation during pandemic

A staggering 5.6 million people struggled to put enough food on the table in the past week according to US Census survey data, while an estimated two million people are expected to go hungry in New York this holiday season.

From New York to California, people waited for hours on end to claim their parcels for the holidays and celebrities including Snoop Dogg, Tyler Perry and Tracy Morgan have lent a hand.

    So yes..

This year we miss images like this:

Because now all we see are images like this:

  • Tiny desk Trump rage at #DiaperDon trend!

Tiny desk Trump rage at #DiaperDon trend!

DONALD Trump blasted Twitter for making up “fake trends” after mocking hashtag #DiaperDon went viral.

The hashtag quickly began to trend as it was spread by gleeful Dems who joked a photo of the President made it appear he was wearing adult diapers.

Flash: AstraZeneca will conduct new global vaccine trial after error!

AstraZeneca said it plans to conduct a new global clinical trial to assess the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine’s efficacy. The news comes after the company and the university acknowledged a dosing error in trials.

More: In a statement Wednesday, Oxford University said some of the vials used in the trial didn’t have the right concentration of vaccine so some volunteers got a half dose. The university said that it discussed the problem with regulators, and agreed to complete the late-stage trial with two groups.

The manufacturing problem has been corrected, according to the statement.

  • And they’re NOT off!! It’s crickets at stores on Black Friday

And they’re NOT off!! It’s crickets at stores on Black Friday

Perhaps no videos this year of people having a knockout drag out affair to get the newest piece of cheaply made plastic..

Instead various reports from around the nation are showcasing empty stores. Quiet lines.

Media blaming COVID, but black Friday has been waning in popularity for years.

In one instance, a Philadelphia news site saw a longer line for people to be paid for donating plasma than the Game Stop next door selling only 2 PlayStation 5’s..

Other reports from around the country report mainly quiet retail, with mostly gaming being the top contender for potential crowds (until they find out how severely limited stocks of the PlayStation 5 console are)…

During a time when all other traditions are being killed or dying natural deaths, is this retail hell another one that will be gone?

  • Turkey day terrors! Old artwork from SCARY STORIES artist is still haunting after all these years

Turkey day terrors! Old artwork from SCARY STORIES artist is still haunting after all these years

One of the best and most famous horror artistry came thanks to Stephen Gammell and his work in the SCARY STORIES TO TELL IN THE DARK series. Some of the most haunting drawings and imagery inspired an entire generation to try to do what he did.

Well, little do so many know, Gammell actually added his talent to Thanksgiving, as well!

Introduce yourself to Thanksgiving Poems by Myra Livingston..
    Illustrated by Stephen Gammell!

Let's Be Thankful Stephen Gammell Illustrated a Thanksgiving Poems Book

The book was  a collection of 16 poems and songs from various storytellers’ including musical excerpts from the Osage and Navajo nations. The book is only 32-pages and the poems discuss trees, turkeys, families, and food; giving thanks, what happens when families congregate during thanksgiving, and the history of thanksgiving ..

And some amazing haunting artwork by Gammell!

    Things like these:

A native American with a baby.. The interesting way that the baby is black and white while the colors begin to ensemble as the pictures edges closer to the right hand side.. And the baby’s stare: Just that haunting glare..

This poem was called Joy of an Immigrant .. but the imagery below it is lonely and sad.. Almost perhaps as lonely as one may be when they first come to America, not knowing what daunting pressures they will face when trying to capture the rewards of a new nation..

    Gobbedly-gobble! How they laughed!
And how those frightening turkeys looked like they were about to turn into zombies!

Pilgrims meeting the natives never looked so frightening. It looks more like a ghostly appearance of both sides for the first Thanksgiving rather than the real event.

This art is great! It looks like a freakish family where dad is intoxicated and mom just nervously grins as she brings in more “cheer,” and the kids just want to leave the scene. The best part of this drawing is that it could have easily appeared in SCARY STORIES just as easy as it did in this Thanksgiving poetry book.

Come Ye Thankful People Come ..
Come into the blinding wilderness during a snowstorm. A lonely scene where the chill is deep in the air.. What a haunting image!!

Will you ever want to eat turkey again after you see this horrific cartoon version of one dressed in a suit and ugly giant tie? I think not!

And saving the best for last:

No, this is NOT the picture for THE BIG TOE, though it could certainly be mistaken for that. This is just a quaint little happy brother and sister picking pumpkins on a dull and dreary day. With that empty rocking chair outside. This imagery reflects a lonely and sad scene.. The two children depicted are devoid of emotions, instead they are drawn to just stare deep in your soul..

AND WITH THAT… HAPPY HAUNTING THANKSGIVING 2020
