Russian President Vladimir Putin suspended Moscow’s participation in the last remaining nuclear arms control pact with the United States, announcing the move Tuesday in a bitter speech where he made clear he would not change his strategy in the war in Ukraine.
In his long-delayed state-of-the-nation address, Putin cast his country — and Ukraine — as victims of Western double-dealing and said it was Russia, not Ukraine, fighting for its very existence.
“We aren’t fighting the Ukrainian people,” Putin said ahead of the war’s first anniversary Friday. “The Ukrainian people have become hostages of the Kyiv regime and its Western masters, which have effectively occupied the country.”
Richard Belzer, an original Saturday Night Live cast member who became synonymous for his role as detective John Munch on Homicide: Life on the Street and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, has died at the age of 78.
Beltzer also made cameos as Munch on The X-Files, The Wire, Arrested Development, and 30 Rock, among several other TV series. In fact, Munch is the only character to appear on eleven different television shows played by a single actor…
Much like Beltzer himself, his character was known for his dry sense of humor, cynical outlook on life, and belief in conspiracy theories. (Beltzer himself was a noted JFK conspiracy theorist and wrote several books on the topic.) If there was ever a movie based on Art Bell, Belzer would have been a prime actor to play him. As a matter of fact, Belzer also made appearances on the show Coast to Coast AM..
Laraine Newman, Belzer’s longtime friend and fellow SNL cast member, confirmed his passing on Sunday. Writer Bill Scheft, another longtime friend of the actor, said Belzer died early Sunday at his home in Bozouls in southwest France. “He had lots of health issues, and his last words were, ‘Fuck you, motherfucker,‘” Scheft told The Hollywood Reporter.
President Biden announced that United States tax dollars will go to fund pensions to Ukrainians .. that headline juxtaposed to another news headline of the United States social security system becoming insolvent even faster cannot be escaped..
Think about this.. it was science fiction to predict government officials would orders militaries to take down unidentified aerial objects, of unidentified craft.
But for the third time *that we know of* the United States military took one down.
On Saturday night February 11, there was a long strange odyssey over Montana. The FAA restricted airspace and all eyes were on tanker jets on Flight Aware refueling fighters.. However, we were told in public statements that the military would continue to monitor the object and reconsider in the morning..
So here is the fact that we know, from public official releases from the White House and Pentagon: The US and Canada brought down three high-altitude airborne objects this month, including one Washington said was sent deliberately by China for surveillance. Beijing countered that it was a harmless weather-monitoring device that blew off course…
WE assume the military knows a bit more than they would tell us, of course, but people are clamoring to know what in the world, or other world, they are. With the silence comes conspiracies.. On one hand we have been worried about World War III, but maybe we missed the beginning of War of the Worlds in the process!
Talking about these objects being anything other than mannade is speculative .. people would slam it as conspiracy. But consider the fact, as we mentioned opening up this post, we have been hearing of the military spotting UAPs for years.. Pentagon officials have silently warned Congress that they did not know what the objects were. Now, after spotting and taking down the Chinese spy balloon, the new objects being shot down apparently don’t completely match that M.O.
From news accounts in Canada: The object was “cylindrical” and smaller than the suspected Chinese balloon shot down last weekend, Canadian Defense Minister Anita Anand said on Saturday evening. It is not clear what the object shot down over Canada is or whether it is related to the spy balloon shot down last week or the unidentified object shot down over Alaska on Friday.
But it is not just objects. It is lights in the sky as well.
Late last month, mysterious green laser beams were spotted from Hawaii’s tallest peak. Experts initially said the burst of laser beams was emitted by a NASA spacecraft though that was proven incorrect this week – with evidence pointing to a Chinese satellite.
Space experts at the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan (NAOJ) initially tweeted on Jan. 30 that the Subaru-Asahi Star Camera “captured green laser lights in the cloudy sky over Maunakea, Hawai’i. The lights are thought to be from a remote-sensing altimeter satellite ICESAT-2/43613.”
Yes indeed… some may call some conspiracy theorists. But right now, we all maybe just became honorary members in 2023.
Well, network news goes wall-to-wall with coverage of the United States military preparing to shoot down the Chinese spy balloon, CNN gave that a cold shoulder.
Like for real..
While other networks showcased live video of military jets circling the balloon, CNN took a different approach and went to a a reporter on the street of New York City, covering “severe weather“..
The reporter interviewed a street vendor who indicated that it’s very difficult to sell bottled water when it freezes
The Pentagon has apparently formulated a plan to take down the Chinese spy device, with all major news networks and Internet sites honing in on imagery of the balloon, as it enters air space over South Carolina.
It is anticipated that the government plan to shoot. The balloon down will occur once its exit takes place and it makes its way over the Atlantic Ocean.
We have some bad news.. we are mourning the passing of George Wilbur, actor, stuntman, and the first Michael Myers to grace the cover of the Fangoria magazine (for 1988’s HALLOWEEN 4: THE RETURN OF MICHAEL MYERS)..
George P. Wilbur is most known to horror fans for playing Michael Myers in both Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers and Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers.
Wilbur is one of only a small handful of actors to play Michael Myers more than once.
He was also a stunt player on Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers.
George P. Wilbur’s career began with stand-in work for John Wayne in the 1960s, and he went on to amass over 100 television and film credits spanning six decades.
The U.S. military has been monitoring a suspected Chinese surveillance balloon that has been hovering over the northern U.S. for the past few days, and military and defense leaders have discussed shooting it out of the sky, according to two U.S. officials and a senior defense official.
A Chinese surveillance balloon is collecting intelligence over the continental United States “right now,” senior U.S. officials disclosed Thursday, acknowledging that the Pentagon has been monitoring the craft for several days and briefly considered shooting it down before concluding that doing so posed a safety risk.
The balloon is traveling at an altitude “well above commercial air traffic and does not present a military or physical threat to people on the ground,” Brig. Gen. Patrick Ryder, a Pentagon spokesman, told reporters in a hastily arranged news conference where he addressed the ongoing situation. The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) continues to track the balloon’s course, but officials would not specify its present whereabouts.
And this..
Montana’s Republican Senator Steve Daines sent a letter to the Department of Defense (DOD) demanding answers on the suspected Chinese spy balloon spotted above his state.
Daines sent a late letter to Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin on Thursday amid reports of the suspected surveillance balloon over U.S. airspace.
