Tuesday newsday: A Pope and a Porn star, who is more humble?

TUESDAY JULY 23 2013
Other news from the world, and the underworld..
The Pope goes to the young.. Pope Francis has delighted Brazilian crowds .. he is also frustrating security.. The AP reported it this way: “A wrong turn sent a humble Fiat carrying Pope Francis into the thick of a frenzied Rio crowd Monday, in his first minutes back in South America since becoming pontiff. It was a nightmare for security officials, but for the clearly delighted pope just another opportunity to connect.”..The Pope enjoyed his WRONG TURN.. much more than other Popes have ever..
MORE ON WORLD YOUTH DAY:
Another image that is striking–much more than Popes with royal palaces or those who wore Prada shoes.. this pope carries his own luggage.
A porn star who left the industry to promote Christianity.. But those images will never vanish of Crissy Moran..
This is the world as we now know it–but we don’t even know it! Stores are now tracking you in real time when you shop, even if you’re not connected to their wifi.. Maybe it’s time to leave the smartphone in the car if you want to maintain your privacy..
George Zimmerman rescues family after car crash.. And doesn’t shoot any of them..
But just as quick as the Pentagon has given their assessments to those who may want war, this information also being reported: The United States is planning ‘kinetic strikes’ against Syria.. Less shock, less awe. But war all the same coming?
Catherine Austin Fitts released a document several days ago which seems to confirm that ET life does exist.. Even more, she says the US Navy initiated a plan in 1998 to adjust operations for “WHEN” ETs exist and life amongst earthlings..
GREEN Coke has been launched in Argentina..–it includes ‘natural sweetener’ stevia..
This is common sense but it’s a good reminder: These are the ten foods you should never eat.. And while we are at giving health and food tips, here is more from WAKING TIMES: How to cut processed foods out of your life..
Notice the lack of chemtrails lately? Those who monitor radio signals haven’t heard a pulse recently either.. Maybe HAARP has shut down. Clyde Lewis had on Nick Begich last night to discuss..

Back under the DOME.. with some better thoughts than original

The HORROR REPORT has reviewed the Stephen King made for TV adaptation of UNDER THE DOME in the recent past–and we did not give it high praise..
But as time rolls on, we admit we are getting to like it more..
The storyline is still quirky, and the acting is still tacky at time–that whole idea that one of the main antagonists looks just like Andy Sandberg previously from Saturday Night Live is still tough to digest..
Last night’s edition was interesting. The military decided it was time to break the dome into pieces, shattering it into little jagged edges of dome glass. Thanks to the perfect placement of someone who can read lips, we learn from a soldier outside the dome that the government will bomb the strange creation at 1:15 pm…
Chaos inside ensues. I do think there would have been more of a panic, but perhaps the notion that people have been stuck in the dome so long allows them to be much calmer about such things than others would be.
And I am going to ruin the ending of the show last night for you (though you should assume this): The missile fails. But it did lead to a pretty climatic end scene Monday night, even adding in the sounds of the classic song by Skeeter Davis THE END OF THE WORLD..
And now the few seconds of previews for next week show us that it can rain in the dome. Should be fun..
While I don’t take back my original negative review, I am now willing to let the entire series run its course before I pass a final judgement. If other programs are like last night, it’s an indication I may come to give this more thumbs up than I originally was going to..
Don’t they know it’s the end of the world, it ended when I lost your love

The royal afterbirth

The royal uterus opened and popped out a king. Sure, the world is happy and lots of Brits used it as a means of getting intoxicated at the ‘pub’ last night.. but media attention is quickly becoming unnerving. It’s over the top.. a little too much. As of this update, the planet has not been made aware of the name of the new King to be.. but we will find out. And when we do, the overblown media response will quiver with more jubilation.
Meanwhile in Britain, Prime Minster David Cameron is going to be institute a porn ban–he says for the public good–and will make citizens who want porn put in an official request from the government. I assume there will be some list generated to find out what citizens had the daring nerve to actually request porn.. We’ll most likely not find out when the powers that be get their desires fulfilled, though..
Also in the world, as the town crier announced a child happy and hopefully royal child to the universe, others starved in Africa, others were blown to bits in Syria, and others were kidnapped and tortured in Name that Country..
I am not trying to be the dour downer.. but perspective on this situation is sorely lacking. For goodness sakes, the media went ‘wall to wall,’ no pun intended on Kate Middleton’s childbirth experience.. And now that there is a bountiful boy, we are increasingly hearing more about the royal family and when they will meet the new king..
I sigh with disbelief and regret over what the media has become. Firestorms of celebrity and nonsense, packaged with ‘breaking news’ footage of nothing.
George Zimmerman also was back in the news yesterday.. he apparently helped rescue an entire family from an overturned car. Talk about good PR when you need it.. Unfortunately for George, the media was busy keeping an eye on the Royal Vagina, so they didn’t see his little act of redemption..
There is one question that the media has thus far failed to answer: What did happen to the Royal Afterbirth? I sure bet the papparazzi would love to get their hands on that..

Dread Central jumped to a big conclusion

Clearly the website dreadCentral.com has not been apprised on all the false starts that Art Bell has made over the past year and a half, with his many Facebook messages hinting he would return to radio only to dash the hopes of his fans..

A headline on the site proclaims: Art Bell is returning to radio

Like many others I have been following Bell on his Facebook and Twitter page over the past several weeks waiting for an announcement as to what his mysterious and not so reassuring messages mean.. When I saw the headline from Dread Central I panicked thinking I missed something.. However the article does not say anything new in all, it only seems to make the assumption that he will be returning based off of the cryptic messages he has already put on the Internet..

So even with Dread Central saying that he is returning, There is still no information whatsoever to indicate for sure that he will..

Back to square one, but at least someone finally giving some press to the vague messages, and perhaps the Twitter fan base may surpass the numbers it is currently at..

After all, how can you begin teasing a return to radio with under 3000 followers?

Talk about good PR when you need it

Cnn reporting:

George Zimmerman and another man helped four people get out of an SUV that had overturned Wednesday in Sanford, Florida, Seminole County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Heather Smith said.

Zimmerman has been out of the public eye since July 13 when a jury acquitted him of second degree murder ot teenager Trayvon Martin.

Maybe it was Nibiru: Scientists say Mars’ had something bad happen to it 4 bil years back

According to this UK TELEGRAPH report, something chaotic and potentially life altering (if there was life) happened on Mars four billion years ago..

Of course this exists as a theory.. It comes after Nasa’s Spirit rover were found to contain five times as much nickel as Martian meteorites found on Earth.

I have long told friends and co workers of an outlandish theory I have postulated that the Bible’s Noah’s ark was actually a spaceship and it left Mars for another planet, Earth. Crazy isn’t it?
Or is it?

Early Monday headlines

Some other news from the natural and unnatural world this fine Monday morning..
Strange clouds swirl over New Zealand (this was prior to another earthquake there..)
But it sure would be interesting to see what Mr. Cameron searches for?
Someone or something has been busy: 13-mile long crop circle is found in Oregon desert..

Conjuring up some thoughts..not a review.. But some thoughts

The CONJURING had a great feel, that 1970s music and the drabby 70s browns and oranges.. the clothing was great, cars were old, and the Volkswagen bus somehow was somehow still running long enough to have a prominent role in the movie.

The character development worked well. The stories of the Perron family and Ed and Lorraine Warren seemed true to the spirit of the actual people they portrayed.

A crowded theater is the best place to watch the CONJURING. The scary scenes are quite predictable. Doors open.. the floor creeks. And boom, a giant Satanic beast in on top of you! Ok, a few of those scenes caught me off guard. As did the final exorcism scene as it played out.

I never read the book HOUSE OF DARKNESS HOUSE OF LIGHT but I am sure going to try to now, after seeing this film. I read that they did not take liberties with the story. So if they did not take liberties, judging from the final scene in this movie Pope Paul IV should have taken the first red eye out of Rome to get to this house.

I am not trying to spoil things for people that did not see it, but be prepped for a mom who wants to murder her children. I left wondering, ‘there was  a police officer, ON DUTY, bitten, and post-exorcism  still did not want to take mom down to the station for questioning, or perhaps a good mental health check? I know it was 1971 and Richard Nixon was President, but by then we had the Environmental Protection Agency, so there was some progress, right?

I said before it’s best to see THE CONJURING in a crowded theater, as it’s fun to watch others jump and hear nearby teenagers screaming in fear at every slight music change.. I am not sure this movie ‘changed’ horror as some have said,  but it certainly led me down a personal quest for information. So in that regard, it had an effect.

I want to find out a few things.

I want to know why Ed and Lorraine believe Amityville is true along with this possession story? I want to know if Lorraine is still active now that Ed is dead.. and I certainly want to know what happened to all of those artifacts and frightening icons of the devil that the Warrens kept in their private locked room.

I also have been perusing the Warrens’ website lately.. I think the part that scares me the most is the lack of HTML development, and the inclusion of some old songs that sound quite frightening after all this time. (http://www.warrens.net/Annabelle.html).

And finally, I am asking myself, as I have done so many times before in life, this question: Is there a God, and is there a Satan?

We have heard so many opine on the existence of both, and along with that fundamentalists are as sure of God as Satan worshipers are of the devil incarnate.  But I think most of us don’t know at all. We can have faith.. but that faith will be tested throughout life. The Warrens in this movie seemed to have faith and never consider anything at test of it, but instead  it only fortified their belief in God.

No spoilers intended, but there is a quote at the end of the CONJURING. It was said, I suppose, from Ed Warren: “The fairy tale is true. The devil does exist. God indeed exists. And for us, as people, our very destiny hinges upon which one we elect to follow.”

The CONJURING succeeded in the scare department.. it was good with the characters.. it left some items to be desired and opened the door for questions as to whether the mental health of the Perron family should have been studied further.

But it succeeded most of all in forcing us all to ask the question, quietly as we drove home: Was Ed Warren’s quote 100% right?
