That night alone.
The estimates were revised once..
They will be revised again..
There is a bigger chance that JURASSIC is going to take a major run at the AVENGERS’ record..
For those who say box office totals don’t matter. I wrote earlier that I mostly agree. Except in the summer.. that is when all bets are off.
Dogs Don’t Like People Who Are Mean to Their Owners
…Dogs are loyal servants.
Most of the time.
Unless it’s my dog and there is a thunderstorm.
Regardless, more and more studies that come out prove that the owners of dogs are smart by buying dogs. Good creatures.
Most of the time.
Chinese hack of federal personnel files included security-clearance database
First it was four million.
Then it was every single federal employee..
Then retired employees..
Then veterans..
Then veterans’ families.
And now this according to reporting at the WASHINGTON POST BY
The Chinese breach of the Office of Personnel Management network was wider than first acknowledged, and officials said Friday that a database holding sensitive security clearance information on millions of federal employees and contractors also was compromised.
In an announcement, OPM said that investigators concluded this week with “a high degree of confidence” that the agency’s systems containing information related to the background investigations of “current, former and prospective” federal employees, and others for whom a background check was conducted, were breached.
And it’s not just current people who may need to worry.
“This is potentially devastating from a counterintelligence point of view,” said Joel Brenner, a former top counterintelligence official for the U.S. government, speaking about the latest revelation. “These forums contain decades of personal information about people with clearances . . . which makes them easier to recruit for foreign espionage on behalf of a foreign country.”
Decades of information.
Decades of clearances..
Decades..

CAN IT BEAT THE AGE OF ULTRON?
AGE OF ULTRON opened with $195 mil.. JURASSIC WORLD was set for $125 mil.. but with Thursday rock and sock and Friday ticket sales, ULTRON may face competition.. Finalized numbers may near $155 mil for the return of the mighty mean DINOSAUR to the big screen..
People have often said that the box office totals don’t matter.Maybe.. if you like a movie, you like a movie.
But summer movies are judged by the cash influx they have. AGE OF ULTRON is a respected summer hit, even though it may have been one of the dullest movies I have ever seen, it couldn’t even keep my son’s attention, and he’s a major fan of the AVENGERS.
JURASSIC WORLD has garnered some negative reviews, with people saying the horror dino redo is relying too much on CGI and not enough on a story.
That will not matter, however, when the chips are layed out.. it will also not be a bother to anyway who is sitting in a cooled air conditioned movie theater..
I recall back in 1993 when the original JURASSIC PARK came out. I was 13 and young, amazed with what I was seeing on the screen.. the movie changed my view at that time of what movies could be.. I was still on my summer of 89 high and BATMAN and let down by BATMAN RETURNS. But JURASSIC PARK was true epic box office magic.
I sense that despite the misgivings of the AP and other reviewers, that same ‘magic’ will return for countless kids around age 13 this summer. This weekend. This day.
JURASSIC WORLD looks like it’s set for a promising haul of cash. Staying power? Maybe not..
But it’s summer.
Anything can happen..
MORE FROM CNN:
Officers exchanged gunfire with the attacker or attackers at both sites, and as dawn broke in Texas – hours after the near-midnight attack began – they still were watching the vehicle and negotiating with the driver in the parking lot of a Jack in the Box restaurant in Hutchins.
Attackers opened fire on Dallas police headquarters early Saturday as an armored van charged the building, authorities said.
After the attack, police found suspicious bags near the headquarters. At least one contained explosives, prompting evacuations from areas around the police headquarters.
Authorities believe up to four people may have opened fire from various locations with automatic weapons, including from the van, the police chief said.
