  • CHARLIE ISN’T DEAD: THE CHALLENGE BACK WITH ‘MASS HYSTERIA’ IN DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

CHARLIE ISN’T DEAD: THE CHALLENGE BACK WITH ‘MASS HYSTERIA’ IN DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

The CHARLIE CHARLIE challenge set the world on fire over Memorial Day weekend this year, when an untold number of pre-teens, and teens—along with Clyde Lewis on the radio—decided to balance two pencils together and request the presence of Charlie, a supposed Mexican demonic entity..

While the whole pop cultural phenomenon seemingly has waned, the Dominican Republic just had quite the CHARLIE CHARLIE issue while it was taking place. According to reports now being filed in the UK DAILY MAIL and other sources,  four Colombian high school students were brought to the emergency room two weeks ago screaming and babbling.. there were no physical abnormalities or issues. Reporter Alasdair Baverstock writes this in the MAIL:

But parents at the Juan Pablo Duarte Primary School in the town of Hato Mayor in the Dominican Republic, where the original video came from, say their children were ‘possessed by Satan’ after playing the playground game.

‘Three students were absent from class because their parents believed they were possessed by the devil,’ deputy headmistress Jovita Jimenez told MailOnline.

Ms Jimenez’s school is one of various throughout the Hato Mayor region of eastern Dominican Republic, a country where voodoo black magic is common, that has been subjected to what she describes as the ‘satanic craze’.

The entire allure of Charlie Charlie has some interesting causes in my opinion.. the game and myth has been confined to Latin America and Mexico. Cultural experts say that men in those areas are more likely to play the game than women.. But the fact that Twitter and Facebook exploded with it also showcases the changing cultural dynamic of the United States . During the early 1900s, the US of A was greeted with countless immigrants who brought with them the lure and paranormal tales of their home countries, typically in Europe. At that time, Christmas was a time for ghost stories, something that dates back to the Victorian Age.

In 2015, CHARLIE CHARLIE shows that a whole new immigrant impact is occurring. The increasing number of Latin Americans and Mexicans in the United States is having an effect even on the paranormal world and horror establishment.  And with it, new people are being introduced to the friend people South of the border had for a long time: Charlie.

  • THE WORLD’S NEWEST UNSOLVED MYSTERY: MH370 CASE WILL NEVER BE SOLVED

THE WORLD’S NEWEST UNSOLVED MYSTERY: MH370 CASE WILL NEVER BE SOLVED

Something mighty historic just occurred.. the generation that lived through Amelia Earhart’s vanishing act would never had known the amount of a cultural impact with staying power that incident would have.
Today’s mystery began March 2014 when the Malaysian flight MH370 vanished. Somewhere..
And now, in 2015, the hope for answers dashed..the mystery solidified.. And the search is being abandoned.

According to the airline it’s been a wild goose chase. A chase now coming to an end game.

    NBC NEWS reports,

The underwater hunt for missing MH370 is a “goose chase” that will soon be abandoned, according to the boss of one of the world’s largest airlines.

Tim Clark, president of Dubai-based Emirates Airlines, likened the search of the southern Indian Ocean to the decades-old unsolved mystery surrounding the disappearance of aviator Amelia Earhart.

“I think it is only a question of time before the search is abandoned,” he told theSydney Morning Herald on the sidelines of an industry conference in Miami on Tuesday. His remarks were confirmed to NBC News by an airline spokesman.

Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 disappeared on March 8, 2014 en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing with 239 people on board.

“Do we have solutions? Do we have explanations? Cause? Reasons? No,” said Clark, whose airline is the world’s biggest operator of Boeing 777s — the same type that vanished in March 2014. “It has sent us down a goose chase. It will be an Amelia Earhart repetition.”

    So there you have it.
WE have just lived through history. A passenger jet vanishing from radar. Never being found in water.. wreckage never surfacing. Weird stories of phones still working after the event … all of the intrigue and mystery, rumor and sensation.

    All in history..
And paranormal and mysterious lure to come.

The families will never be the same. Remember seeing their grieving yet hopeful faces on CNN saying that there was more to the story, that the plane had been stolen? Remember all of that?
    I do..

And our children, when they grow up, may ask us about this event. This historic event of a passenger plane going missing without a trace.

You can tell them, as I may tell my own son, that the plane is still flying. Somewhere in a realm or alternate reality.. and every now and then if you listen really really hard, you’ll be able to hear the Malaysian jet still circling the world looking for a place to land.

Hopefully my son will never see the TWILIGHT ZONE that I stole that idea from..

EVA LOVIA UNSUITS UP: SEX WHERE NO MAN HAS HAD SEX BEFORE

I suppose there is one place.

JASON went to space in X.. So an X-Rated site may as well be next.

PORNHUB, one of the most popular video porn sites online, has announced plans to crowdfund a plan for two people to have sex in the cosmos..The UK INDEPENDENT reports,

The site hopes to launch the mission and shoot Sexplorations in 2016, covering the pre and post-production costs itself but seeking $3.4 million from IndieGogo crowdfunders.

Christopher Hooton, who most likely gives a hoot, reports,

Pornhub claims to be attempting the mammoth mission purely for “the love of science and sex”, and the mind boggles as to what kind of scenes will be achieved in zero G.

The site is offering a tiered reward system for funders, with those donating large amounts getting to map out entire scenes including the positions and script.

Porn actors Eva Lovia and Johnny Sins have been lined up to star in Sexplorations, and will receive “six months of rigorous training” prior to launch.

    Quite a launch.
    Quite a mission>
    Countdown..
This is not your parents’ moon walk.

  • THE NAKED STARTS HERE: NUDE CELEB HACKER MAY HAVE BEEN FROM THE WINDY CITY

THE NAKED STARTS HERE: NUDE CELEB HACKER MAY HAVE BEEN FROM THE WINDY CITY

In 2014 nude celebrities were making their way around the net thanks to an elaborate and wide ranging phone hack—celebs love nude selfies..
Today, the FBI has tracked down the source of the hack to the Windy City.. One home in Chicago, according to reports..

According to a CBS Chicago report today, the nude celebrity hacker (unknown if the hacker is nude) has been tracked down to a home on the South Side of the City.. Mike Parker, a reporter for the station, writes,

FBI cyber investigators believe a brick bungalow in the Brighton Park neighborhood, where possibly four members of the same family live, may be connected to last year’s so called “celebgate” scandal.

Celebrity nude photos and videos that had been sent by iPhones to the internet bank called “the cloud” were being grabbed by hackers and made public.

There is no official mention in the story of the results of the FBI confiscation of computers from the house, nor the occupants’ names.

The wide ranging hack had a huge impact on news headlines late 2014.  Today it has been revealed that the hack was potentially even larger than thought..

    DEVELOPING..

  • HORROR FANS DELIGHT: STREAMING IS COMING

HORROR FANS DELIGHT: STREAMING IS COMING

VARIETY was the first to report news of this hours ago, before it was picked up by several horror fan sites and other news outlets.. Janko Roettgers from VARIETY did the reporting. No need to paraphrase when the quote will suffice:

Be prepared to be scared: AMC Networks has begun an invite-only beta test of their horror-centric OTTvideo service Shudder. The service offers streaming access to full-length ad-free horror movies, and wants to eventually launch on a number of TV streaming devices. Its technology is being powered by and Softbank-owned online video platform Dramafever.

Consumers who previously signed up on Shudder’s public pre-launch website have started to get invites over the last 24 hours, and can now join the service for two free months. After that, Shudder is charging $4.99 a month, or $49.99 for a full year. An AMC Networks spokesperson confirmed the beta test Tuesday, but said that there’s no firm date yet for Shudder coming out of beta.

Genre specific content is not a new idea.. But coming more to fruition in recent years. Undoubtedly this idea will spark interest in horror fans..

  • JURASSIC REVIEW: AP HITS! “lacking the deft sense of wonderment”

JURASSIC REVIEW: AP HITS! “lacking the deft sense of wonderment”

The hype has been hopeful.. the storyline may be hackneyed, but in a summer where earthquakes are destroying California in the box office, there is hope that dinosaurs, back for revenge in JURASSIC WORLD, will dominate and captivate a new generation..

Or it will, as the AP surmises in a review, lack the ‘deft sense of wonderment’ that greeted people in the early 1990s when Stephen Spielberg first released the classic..

I recall that yearly fondly. I was 13, malls were still hip, and movie theaters still ripped on a regular basis. I was excited when I heard my family wanted to see JURASSIC PARK. It was making magazine covers–people bought those relics then. And after the movie concluded, I could not wait 6 months then! until the Christmas release on VHS .. I may be dating myself.

While I may not have had the same level of excitement about this new film, the trailers have jazzed me up more and more each time I saw a new one.. the most recent was more of a horror tale than an action adventure about humans vs dinos..

But the AP seems to be lamenting in a review splashing around its wire service and being picked up by news outlets across the planet. Jake Coyle, a film reviewer for the AP, writes,

“Jurassic World,” the latest incarnation of the franchise, is lacking the deft sense of wonderment, wit and suspense that guided the original. Director Colin Trevorrow, who ended his first and only other feature, “Safety Not Guaranteed,” with a Spielbergian magical twist, has instead made a more biting thriller hung up on the corporate mandates of post-“Jurassic Park” Hollywood.

    And this:

The 3-D “Jurassic World” is also an ugly, over-saturated movie; CGI has run amok here as much as dinosaurs. After nods to John Williams’ classic original, Michael Giacchino’s unremarkable new score punctuates the action, as the characters gradually come together from locations across the park. Vincent d’Onofrio’s opportunistic military contractor is also lurking.

    Two stars out of four.

While some may question the authority of just one review, I have often believed in the power of what the AP says. It’s the news outlet of choice.. Each local newspaper will run this review.. Other websites will as well. Drudge linked it today on the top of his page. Whether Rotten Tomatoes or IMDB gives this movie rave credentials, this AP snub will take hold as the overall pundit’s non-pick of the summer.

And at the same time, it may not matter.

JURASSIC WORLD may not keep a foothold on the box office after its initial review, but that may not matter. The makers of the film aren’t aiming for a sleeper hit, but instead want the main action and box office boom to be quick..

JURASSIC WORLD took about ten years to create and had a rocky history..
And now, as the AP slams the movie, it seems to be going against the grain and momentum.
This film is slated, some say, to be on course to earn $100 million in a week..

While this AP hit may be the fashionable anti-movie wording that some will use, none of it will matter.
The long term effects of bad reviews are often apparent. But in the summer time, when school is out and people are clamoring for fake destruction, mayhem, and blood, JURASSIC WORLD is exactly what the season has ordered. It will be a blowout ..

Some may argue that the money a movie makes doesn’t matter. My friend Anghus at FLICKERING MYTH often argues that point. While I agree–the overall film’s worth should never be concluded due to the cash flow it has during its box office period–the money a film makes IN THE SUMMER does matter .. JURASSIC can boast an accomplishment in $100 million worth of tickets are purchased to see the dinosaurs strike back.

    The summer of CGI disasters.
Hopefully it stays confined to the box office..
