Just when you thought it was safe to watch next season’s football, the return of Tom Brady occurs!

Days after Brady’s retirement plans were reported, the longtime Patriots and Bucs QB announced his retirement via social media on Feb. 1. But doubt over how long Brady would actually stay away from the field began almost immediately.

Brady’s retirement ended up lasting all of 40 days — though it was never official as it never came across the league transaction wire.

Asteroid impacts Earth just two hours after it was discovered

At just three meters wide, 2022 EB5 was around just half the size of an average male giraffe, which grows to be around five-six meters in height. As such, it was unlikely to do any damage if it had impacted the planet.

  • American reporter killed in Ukraine

    American reporter killed in Ukraine

Ukrainian police identified a victim of gunfire as Brent Renaud, a 51-year-old journalist, filmmaker and US citizen.

Renaud was a reporter for the The New York Times correspondent. However it appears Renaud was not in Ukraine reporting on behalf of The Times.

“We are deeply saddened to hear of Brent Renaud’s death. Brent was a talented filmmaker who had contributed to The New York Times over the years,” read a statement from the outlet. “Though he had contributed to The Times in the past (most recently in 2015), he was not on assignment for any desk at The Times in Ukraine. Early reports that he worked for Times circulated because he was wearing a Times press badge that had been issued for an assignment many years ago.”

  • The Meg: Mila Kunis used to say she was from Russia until Russia invaded Ukraine

The Meg: Mila Kunis used to say she was from Russia until Russia invaded Ukraine

Top star and voice of MEG from FAMILY GUY is noted in a new Yahoo Entertainment story as historically saying she was from Russia.

All of that changed when Vlad the Impaler ordered the invasion of Ukraine..

So why did she change the ancestry story?

Kunis explained the reason to Maria Shriver.

“I was born in Ukraine. I came to the States in 1991 and we were the last of my family to migrate,” Kunis explains, adding that she was about 8 years old at the time. “I very much have always felt like an American,” she continued, saying that growing up, “People were like, ‘Oh, you’re so Eastern European.’ I was like, ‘I’m so LA!’ What do you mean? Like, my whole life I was like ‘I am LA through and through.’” “[Russia’s invasion] happens and I can’t express or explain what came over me, but all of a sudden I was like, ‘Oh my God, I feel like a part of my heart just got ripped out,’” she explained. “It was the weirdest feeling.”

    She now says:

“It’s been irrelevant to me that I come from Ukraine. It never mattered,” she explained of her upbringing. “So much so that I’ve always said I’m Russian. Like I’ve always been, ‘I’m from Russia’ for a multitude of reasons. One of them being when I came to the States and I would tell people I’m from from Ukraine, the first question I’d get was ‘Where is Ukraine?’ And then I’d have to explain Ukraine and where it is on the map… But if I was like, ‘I’m from Russia’ people were like, ‘Oh we know that country.’ So I was like great I’ll just tell people from Russia.” “Hell no! I’m from Ukraine. Everything’s changed,” she says now. “It is a sense of pride, and it’s not taking away from loving where I live now and everything that this country has given me.”

Saudi Arabia goes hardcore: Horror in real life

While the world focuses its attention on Vlad’s aggression in Ukraine, the Saudi royal family just set a record: 81 men were executed in one day.

From what we know, Saudi Arabia killed them on Saturday. The number included seven from Yemen and one fro Syria for terrorism. Also “other offenses” that included holding “deviant beliefs.”

If you are keeping track, this number far outdid the 67 in 2021 and 27 in 2020. But the pandemic was raging. I guess that’s why we didn’t see the big numbers, right?

The interior ministry said this in a statement: “These individuals, totaling 81, were convicted of various crimes including murdering innocent men, women and children.”

“Crimes committed by these individuals also include pledging allegiance to foreign terrorist organizations, such as ISIS (Islamic State), al Qaeda and the Houthis.”

The kingdom did not say the way that the deaths occurred..

    One could only image, right?

Nostalgia vault: When horror movie VHS’ haunted children across America!

It was the decade of the Satanic Panic!! And movies, we were told, were going to destroy children!

Or at least that is what the main stream media was telling us..

ABC News’ 2020 took an in depth 1987 style look at VHS horror movies for rent–and how children across America were falling prey to their relentless atrocities..

Boy oh boy.. if only Barbara Walters was able to see what the future held when she introduced this segment on that fateful Friday night..

For some reason I feel that I, as a young child, watched this 20/20 special.. and then afterwards turned on Rhonda Shear’s UP all Night on USA NETWORK as she segwayed into a Friday the 13th or other horror movie…

Another BAT blast from the past

We have been having some fun as of late finding some old gems related to BATMAN .. as THE Batman romps the box office in 2022..

This one comes from tabloids in 1994 when Michael Keaton hung up his bat tights..

Friends lamented it was because all the villains got the best lines.
The story reported that Val Kilmer was coming next..
And we all know how perfectly awful that went..
