    Reports of liver disease in children expanding in the United States

    Delaware officials confirmed a case in a child, according to an emailed statement, adding to earlier reports from Alabama, North Carolina and Illinois. Health officials in New York state and Wisconsin said they’re investigating reports of pediatric hepatitis that match a description released last week by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

    The Wisconsin Department of Health Services said Wednesday afternoon that one of four cases under investigation resulted in a fatality. If confirmed, it would be the first death linked to the illness in the U.S.

Robert Cargill (who worked with Derrickson on Doctor Strange, and the Sinister franchise), and is based on the award-winning short story by Joe Hill from his New York Times bestseller 20th Century Ghosts.

    “Twitter, Inc. today announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by an entity wholly owned by Elon Musk, for $54.20 per share in cash in a transaction valued at approximately $44 billion. Upon completion of the transaction, Twitter will become a privately held company.

    Under the terms of the agreement, Twitter stockholders will receive $54.20 in cash for each share of Twitter common stock that they own upon closing of the proposed transaction. The purchase price represents a 38% premium to Twitter’s closing stock price on April 1, 2022, which was the last trading day before Mr. Musk disclosed his approximately 9% stake in Twitter.

    Bret Taylor, Twitter’s Independent Board Chair, said, “The Twitter Board conducted a thoughtful and comprehensive process to assess Elon’s proposal with a deliberate focus on value, certainty, and financing. The proposed transaction will deliver a substantial cash premium, and we believe it is the best path forward for Twitter’s stockholders.”

    MORE from Alabama cluster: Health officials in Alabama say none of children had history of recently being infected with COVID-19 and none of them had been vaccinated against COVID-19.

    The World Health Organization announced that there are 169 cases in 11 countries now of the new virus.. MORE:

    “It is not yet clear if there has been an increase in hepatitis cases, or an increase in awareness of hepatitis cases that occur at the expected rate but go undetected,” the WHO said in a statement. “While adenovirus is a possible hypothesis, investigations are ongoing for the causative agent.”

    The WHO said the investigation into the cause needs to focus on factors such as “increased susceptibility amongst young children following a lower level of circulation of adenovirus during the COVID-19 pandemic, the potential emergence of a novel adenovirus, as well as SARS-CoV-2 co-infection.”..

    The character is Marvel’s first Latin-American LGBTQIA+ character to appear in an ongoing comic book series – which is a major deal for representation.

    Other Gulf countries are also following and not allowing the film to be seen..

    Saudi Arabia has a history of banning movies for similar reasons. Marvel’s “The Eternals” was banned in Saudi Arabia, over its same-gender couple romance and the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s first gay superhero..

    Scientists say more than half the entire global population is suffering from some form of headache disorder. 

    According to a study published in the Journal of Headache and Pain on April 12, Researchers found that most adults ages 20 to 65, including some children as young as 5-years-old, reported a headache disorder including migraines, tension headaches, sinus and other complications.

    Nick Castle told the crowd at Steel City Con (via ComicBook.com), “My good friend James Jude Courtney, he’s doing 99% of the work in the last three movies as Michael Myers and doing a wonderful job I think. I just saw he was over at the editing room where they’re completing the first cut of Halloween Ends with David Gordon Green, of course, as the steward of the ship.”

    “It sounds like it should be pretty good,” Castle continues. “I do a little cameo in this new one. We’ll have the end of at least the David Gordon Green version of Halloween. I think there might be more because of all the success of this [trilogy], but [Green] will have a very surprising storyline… ending for everyone. It’s absolutely something I don’t think you would have ever guessed in terms of the way it’s going to unroll.”

    Unless it is a musical number in which Freddy, Jason, and the Chucky doll all unite with Michael Myers to sing a Broadway style goodbye, it seems unlikely that anything could surprise us at this point about Halloween.. thoughts ?
