Not a ghost tale, but perhaps even scarier

I read a fascinating article–thank God I am not the victim here or it would not be fascinating at all–today about a family in New Jersey fleeing their new ‘dream home’ because of frightening letters they were receiving from someone who called himself ‘The Watcher.’

According to the article, the previous owners never told the new ones about this strange person..

    A lawsuit has been filed.

    From CBS NEW YORK:

As CBS2’s Valerie Castro reported, the large six-bedroom home in Union County is being watched – according to a lawsuit filed by its new owners.

They paid $1.3 million for their “dream home” in the picturesque town of Westfield. They claim the previous owners were aware of a man who calls himself “the Watcher,” but they never said anything.

“I would be pretty upset if I bought a house and found out that the previous owners knew about it,” said Robert Hagen of Westfield.

Since moving in, the owners said they have received numerous letters from the mysterious person. “The Watcher” claimed the home “has been the subject of my family for decades,” and “I have been put in charge of watching and waiting for its second coming,” Castro reported.

The new owners have several children, and other letters asked, “Have they found out what’s in the walls yet?” and “I am pleased to know your names now, and the name of the young blood you have brought to me,” Castro reported.

The bone-chilling letters were enough to send the new family packing. The incident was so unnerving that Westfield Mayor Andy Skibitsky addressed the issue at a Town Council meeting Tuesday night.

There have been frightening ghost stories, such as the Amityville Horror, supposedly chasing a family from their abode. I don’t think I have ever heard of a story quite like the one linked here..

This sounds like the plot of a movie..Some have even accused the family of either embellishing or completely making this up for attention–check the comments thread on the linked article to see that debate.
But if true, this is creepy.
This is not a paranormal story..People are scarier than ghosts..

  • Should you avoid Joel Osteen?

    Should you avoid Joel Osteen?

This is a screen grab from Caleb Wilde’s Faecbook page. I have followed him for some time, I respect him, and I appreciate his blog (although he normally gets a ton of pushback for speaking about death from the perspective of a mortician from Philly) .. Nonetheless, his point on Joel Osteen is taken. The article linked is written by Lynda Fell. It was published in THE BLAZE a few days ago. Fell’s point and criticism of Osteen revolves his belief that you need to ‘get go of grief’ within only a few months of the reason for grieving occurs. She writes,Shame on you, Pastor Osteen, for lecturing us to shake off the self-pity, change the channel, and dwell on the good things God has done in our life. To ignore the suffering victim who suddenly had his right arm severed would be cruel. To instruct him to look past the agony and instead focus on his remaining left arm is devastatingly ignorant.I do have empathy for your shortcoming on this issue, for you haven’t lost a child. But let me help you understand why your depiction of Phil and Judy to make a point about self-pity is not only incredibly insensitive but, truth be told, a bit tragic coming from an esteemed person like yourself.Wilde believes that we should stay away from Osteen.I have long believed that.. When I see his smarmy mug on my Sunday morning TV, I became slightly enraged for no real reason. I don’t leave the giant sports stadium-filled church service on long enough to get a point. I don’t want his point.. He may be a perfectly fine man. But I have decided to remain Osteen-free in my life.

  • JOHN B WELLS UNLEASHED: SAVAGES SAVAGE, MOCKS NOORY, UNLOADS ON ALEX JONES

JOHN B WELLS UNLEASHED: SAVAGES SAVAGE, MOCKS NOORY, UNLOADS ON ALEX JONES

    [youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QItm4Z6aDOQ]

JOHN B WELLS is speaking loudly from his desk at his new show.. For those who don’t know remember, he was once the weekend host of Coast to Coast AM. He left the program to do his own show, the CARAVAN TO MIDNIGHT–or he was forced out by George Noory and company at Coast–and now he has a pay-per-listen business and broadcasts daily. Ironically, his ‘Midnight’ show airs during the daytime hours.

He also hosts conspiracy topics. Often I agree with him.  Often I don’t. But I have always been entertained by his style, his voice, and his knowledge and seemingly amazing memory of interesting tidbits of music, UFOlogy, and conspiracy theory.

In this video linked here, he unloads quite a bit on Alex Jones, George Noory, and Michael Savage.. It was quite extraordinary to hear some of the statements from Wells. He wants nothing to do with Alex Jones’ INFOWARS, and even alleges that the site simply regurgitates the stories of others and credits themselves with breaking news. He also goes in depth on his criticism of “Dr Savage” and Savages’ tendancy to brag about his wealth on his program.. He also gives Noory, the current COAST host, some zingers about the new ‘Paranormal Date website Noory has been promoting..

Wells was a divisive host to a degree when he was on Coast to Coast AM. However, his programs rated higher than the weekly shows hosted by Noory and often had more listeners.
Perhaps that’s why it’s no surprise that Noory and Danheiser may have wanted Wells to be off the air..
Even Art Bell has commented on the Wells’ situation in the past.

But to hear Wells put into words some of the feelings he has evolved into having is fascinating.. Amazing.. Riveting. And regardless of what some may say about his over indulgence on Sandy Hook or other theories, he is interesting. And that is the very thing that Coast to Coast AM currently lack: Being interesting.

  • Did Dylann Storm Roof has it his way?

Did Dylann Storm Roof has it his way?

According to multiple reports, which I will link accordingly, Dylan Storm Roof had lunch purchased for him.. Or breakfast.. Or something. Either way, we are told, cops gave Roof some BURGER KING food after his arrest..

The DAILY NEWS report here: http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/dylann-roof-burger-king-cops-meal-article-1.2267615

    Headlines and Global news: http://www.hngn.com/articles/103444/20150623/dylann-storm-roof-fed-burger-king-while-in-custody.htm

    Vibe: http://www.vibe.com/2015/06/police-buy-dylann-storm-roof-burger-king-after-arrest/

    Huffington POST: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/06/23/dylann-roof-burger-king_n_7645216.html

This whole Burger King angle started when the Shelby police chief described the without-incident arrest and eventual food purchase.

In Shelby, the FBI handled Roof’s initial questioning, Ledford said. Shelby police’s lone conversation with the mass-murder suspect was about food. Earlier in the day, Roof had bought water and chips at a south Charlotte gas station. Now he was hungry. Police bought him food from a nearby Burger King, Ledford said.

“He was very quiet, very calm. He didn’t talk,” Ledford said. “He sat down here very quietly. He was not problematic.”

Did police take him to Burger King? SNOPES says no. http://m.snopes.com/2015/06/22/dylann-roof-burger-king/  And that really isn’t the accusation. Most figured out that police most likely purchased food for him from there–murderers get hungry… police often feed suspects, killing the appetite with kindness, and get better results from questioning.

There are hints and allegations about this news..some call it conspiracy, others call it untrue.. a few cite it as evidence that white suspects are treated better than black suspects.

Regardless of where the truth falls, BURGER KING suddenly has a bit of a character problem in the media.. I don’t think the PR department of the fast food chain likes the headlines mentioning its restaurant in any association to Dylann Storm Roof.

    REAL MOMENTS IN JOURNALISM..

Photos have been leaked and broadcast–through GAWKER–to the world.. New York TIMES journalists in the late 90s and June 2001 mocking mass killings. One was the Heaven’s Gate suicides.. the other, the top photo, is a spoof of the murders committed by the Crown Prince Dipendra, who took the lives of nine people including the king, queen, as well as his own. One of the weapons that he used was an M16…

And now the Old Gray Lady’s past sins are exposed. Smiles for the camera–long before Facebook and Twitter. Back when Polaroids were quick and private.. Back when the NET was only just beginning.
And now today, 2015, when the entire world is seeing the fun that the TIMES had thanks to leaked photos and a few websites making them be seen across the planet..

  • The ‘food system shock’

    The ‘food system shock’

A new report from the Lloyds of London (full PDF link here: http://www.lloyds.com/~/media/files/news%20and%20insight/risk%20insight/2015/food%20system%20shock/food%20system%20shock_june%202015.pdf) is shining some light on the future events that could challenge society and push the planet to a breaking point. Specifically, if you take the time to read through the 30 page report, you’ll find  a few gems worth cringing over. Such as this:

2040 could see food shortages and riots that may challenge society, government, and create a breakdown of the fabric of humanity. If measures are not taken, it would appear that the authors think unprecedented food shortages and riots will take hold.

The report calls the food system “increasingly vulnerable to acute shocks” and suggests that food production needs to more than double by 2050 to meet the needs of the planet..

This is not the first time that scientists and experts warned to impending doom.. For a few decades we have been told the water supply was quickly running out. We  have also been told of a few other disasters coming our way.. Some occur. Some don’t. Some are slower than expected and others never materialize at all..

But the food shortage notion is not new.. Others have warned about it for years.

And all the while, farmers across America are halting production.. there is a lot of land and few gardens.. few people tilling the soil. Instead people plant grass and want it to be as green as possible.

    But you can’t eat grass.

Until 2040. That’s when anything appears to be on the table.
