In a Freedom of Information Act request response, the Navy told government transparency site The Black Vault that any public dissemination of new UFO videos “will harm national security as it may provide adversaries valuable information regarding Department of Defense/Navy operations, vulnerabilities, and/or capabilities. No portions of the videos can be segregated for release.”
The Black Vault was seeking all videos “with the designation of ‘unidentified aerial phenomena.’” This is an interesting response from the Navy because, often, military agencies will issue a so-called GLOMAR response, where they neither confirm nor deny that the records (in this case videos) exist, and refuse to say anything more. In this response, the Navy is admitting that it has more videos, and also gives a rationale for releasing three previous UFO videos.

Chinese Covid lockdown traps residents during earthquake
THE BBC IS REPORTING:
Footage showing that some residents in the earthquake-hit Chinese city of Chengdu were stopped from fleeing their compounds due to a Covid lockdown has sparked anger and disbelief online.
Some in Chengdu say they were told to stay inside through a 6.6-magnitude earthquake on Monday that has killed at least 65 people.
Those that ran out say they found the exits shut due to Covid restrictions.
Chengdu, home to 21 million people, is currently under strict lockdown rules.
China has a so-called zero Covid-19 policy, meaning that lockdowns are routinely imposed in communities when cases of the virus are detected.

Disease outbreak mystery as two die from unexplained pneumonia of ‘unknown origin’ in Argentina
So far, a total of six patients in Argentina have undergone testing after being struck by a mystery illness, as three patients are currently still hospitalised. Tests ruled out the presence of most common infections, like COVID-19, sparking concerns of a new disease outbreak. Health officials on Wednesday announced that two people in northwest Argentina died this week from a form of severe pneumonia of “unknown origin”.

After large pool of human blood found in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, police and community seek answers
A 4-by-7-foot pool of blood was found in the parking lot exit of Silver Spring Courtyards retirement center Saturday morning around 7:15 a.m. Another pool of blood was only feet away in the grass. Police also located a pair of black Rayban prescription glasses near the area, a new piece of potential evidence.
“We have, at this time, been able to account for all the residents of the retirement center,” the chief added. “There was nobody found and there were no other signs other than the pair of glasses.”
The question remaining for neighbors: Is it a crime scene? Or the scene of a serious accident, in a typically safe neighborhood?
“I’ve felt nothing but safe here,” Kenes said, explaining his daily walks through his community.
Officials are trying to narrow down an 8-hour window, believing the incident happened between 11 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday.

An evacuation notice that popped up on television Wednesday telling residents to “immediately” evacuate Los Angeles was broadcast in error, a sheriff’s office said.
Viewers in Ventura County were watching TV when programming was interrupted to show the message: “Emergency alert system. A civil authority has issued an IMMEDIATE EVACUATION NOTICE for the following counties or areas.” The list included Los Angeles, Eastern North Pacific Ocean, and Port Conception to Guadalupe. It is not yet known how many viewers received the alert.

Mystery pneumonia kills three and infects nine in Argentina—it’s not Covid
Three people have died and five are in hospital after developing a “pneumonia of unknown origin”, Argentinian health authorities have announced.
According to the Ministry of Health in Tucumán – a small region in the northwest of the country some 800 miles from the capital, Buenos Aires – nine people in the sameprivate clinic unit have contracted mystery pneumonia.
Authorities are concerned about the deadly outbreak because the usual suspects – including Covid, influenza and hantavirus – have been ruled out. Five of the six affected, and both of those who so far died, are also health care workers, suggesting an infectious agent may be involved.

A knife attack darkens first day of school in North Carolina
One person was killed and two were injured Thursday in an apparent stabbing on the fourth day of class at an eastern North Carolina high school, police said.
Jacksonville Police Chief Mike Yaniero told reporters at a news conference that two minors were taken to Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune with injuries, and one later died.
He said that the attack at Northside High School in Jacksonville appeared to be a stabbing but that the investigation was ongoing.
A teacher was also injured, but not stabbed, and received onsite medical treatment, he said.
Officials have commented that there’s no ongoing threat to the public after this attack.
