Oh my God, this is something from the movie Final Destination. The Associated Press is reporting this
A man was pulled into an MRI machine in New York after he walked into the room wearing a large chain necklace, police said.
The man, 61, had entered an MRI room while a scan was underway Wednesday afternoon at Nassau Open MRI. The machine’s strong magnetic force drew him in by his metallic necklace, according to the Nassau County Police Department.
Now one has appeared again in Utah! And it is actually quite beautiful considering the design.
While some are worrying that the current nationwide heat wave will create some issues with those trying to find it in the hot landscape, others are saying on social media is worth the sweat drenched and water reduced trek..
All of that now doesn’t matter.. due to safety concerns, police have destroyed it
Las Vegas police said on X that members of its search and rescue unit found the otherworldly object over the weekend near Gass Peak, part of the vast Desert National Wildlife Refuge where bighorn sheep and desert tortoises can be found roaming. At 6,937 feet (2,114 meters), it is among the highest peaks in the area north of Las Vegas.
After the removal, police went on to say that the structure is being stored at an undisclosed location while public authorities determine the most appropriate way to dispose/store the item. It is 77” tall and each face is 13” wide. It was made out of reflective sheet metal folded into a triangle and secured with rebar and concrete.
Police posted socially that it remains unknown how the item got to its location or who might be responsible. At this time, there is no LVMPD investigation into the object or the circumstances surrounding its existence…
Twelve squirrel monkeys have been stolen from a zoo in Louisiana after their facility was broken into over the weekend.
The theft happened shortly before midnight Saturday and authorities are investigating, Zoosiana said on its Facebook page.
“The individual targeted facilities of smaller primates and specifically compromised the Squirrel Monkey exhibit,” the zoo said.
The investigation at the zoo in Broussard, Louisiana, just outside Lafayette, comes as authorities in Dallas are investigating a series of unusual incidents involving animals at the zoo there, including the disappearance Monday of two emperor tamarin monkeys found a day later in an abandoned home about 15 miles away, officials said.
Police say two rare Tamarin monkeys from the DallasZoo were stolen after finding their enclosure had been cut open. This comes weeks after a clouded leopard escaped from an enclosure that had also been tampered with..
This is an unpredecented string of events at the zoo.. missing animals. Deaths. Closures torn..
On January 13 there was a day of social media game for a leopard after the animal escaped from the enclosure.. but it turns out the leopard’s enclosure had been cut!
Flashback Jan 24: A rare vulture was killed at the Dallas zoo. Someone cut cages open to two other animals. Now there is a $10,000 reward for any information who is doing this. Police force is now protecting the zoo.
And now..
Two monkeys were taken from the DallasZoo on Monday, police said. It was the latest in a string of odd zoo incidents being investigated over the past few weeks— including fences cut and the suspicious death of an endangered vulture..
The habitat has been ‘intentionally compromised’..
A 4-by-7-foot pool of blood was found in the parking lot exit of Silver Spring Courtyards retirement center Saturday morning around 7:15 a.m. Another pool of blood was only feet away in the grass. Police also located a pair of black Rayban prescription glasses near the area, a new piece of potential evidence.
“We have, at this time, been able to account for all the residents of the retirement center,” the chief added. “There was nobody found and there were no other signs other than the pair of glasses.”
The question remaining for neighbors: Is it a crime scene? Or the scene of a serious accident, in a typically safe neighborhood?
“I’ve felt nothing but safe here,” Kenes said, explaining his daily walks through his community.
A Florida county is under quarantine due to the discovery of a fast-growing population of invasive giant African land snails.
The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) confirmed there were giant African land snails in the New Port Richey area of Pasco County on June 23, according to FDACS’ website.
The snails pose a health risk to humans because they carry a parasite called rat lungworm, which can cause meningitis, Christina Chitty, a public information director at FDACS, told CNN.
While we used the image from MR. BEAN for this story, it was not him.. Instead this Mona Lisa attack involved cake!
FROM THE AFP REPORTING:
A 36-year-old man has been arrested and placed in psychiatric care after he smeared a glass screen encasing the Mona Lisa with cake, prosecutors said Monday, in a purported protest against artists not focusing enough on “the planet”.
Officials at the Louvre Museum in Paris, where the enigmatic portrait holds pride of place, declined to comment on the bizarre incident on Sunday, which was captured on several phones and circulated widely on social media.
The treasured work by Leonardo da Vinci, which has been the target of vandalism attempts in the past, was unharmed thanks to its bulletproof glass case.
A Twitter user identified as Lukeee posted a video showing a museum employee wiping a mess off the glass and another showing a man dressed in white being escorted away by security guards.
“A man dressed as an old lady jumps out of a wheelchair and attempted to smash the bulletproof glass of the Mona Lisa. Then proceeds to smear cake on the glass and throws roses everywhere, all before being tackled by security,” Lukeee wrote.
Speaking French, the man says: “There are people who are destroying the Earth… All artists, think about the Earth. That’s why I did this. Think of the planet.”
Michael Birnbaum filed his dispatch with the WASHINGTON POST about the moment in strange history:
Massive flooding in Tbilisi killed at least three zookeepers and eight others Sunday, as a hippopotamus, a lion and wolves roamed the streets.
Portions of the central city were on lockdown as police tried to locate zoo animals that had escaped.
The story sounds humorous.. But there have already been almost a dozen people confirmed dead, though the article did not detail whether it was the flood that did it or the animals..
More from the POST:
“I can’t imagine this tragedy,” said Tbilisi Zoo spokeswoman Mzia Sharashidze. “Almost the whole zoo is underwater.”
She said tigers, hyenas and eight lions had disappeared, among many other animals. Six of 17 penguins were saved; the rest washed away. One crocodile was captured; the other was in sight of zoo workers, but they were unable to reach it as of midafternoon Sunday.
The world is embroiled in a heated exchange of hatred, wretchedness, and horror. The blood moon rose last night–a few places were shielded from its sinister glow due to cloud cover. The others who were without a shroud saw the first of four of these events. Tis the season.. Easter is upon us..the pagan rituals of bunnies and chocolate crucifixes are back for another round. Meanwhile, some news events of importance in the Day After the Blood Moon Rising..
More weirdness in the every so weird story of missing flight 370.. It’s still missing, CNN is still running ‘breaking news’ every time a new blip or beep shows up.. and now this: The co-pilot’s cell phone was ON and actually made contact with a cell tower around the same time the plane vanished from radar.. but also this: There is no evidence that Fariq Abdul Hamid tried to make a call.. (?) .. And yes, this is puzzling experts for obvious reasons. If (IN 2001!) flight 93 passengers made frantic calls to their families to say goodbye, why in 2014 was there no cell calls from Flight 370. Except the co-pilot, of course. The co-pilot who did not make a call of course.. What? Confused yet? Weird beyond belief at this point.
