THE CHARLIE CHARLIE CHALLENGE CHILLING SOCIAL MEDIA

Earlier today the HORROR REPORT, along with a varied amount of other sources, wrote about the newfound appreciation of an old game called CHARLIE CHARLIE.. Rooted in Mexican paranormal tradition, the game involves using pencils to summons a demon with a pair of people chanting “Charlie Charlie” followed by questions of their choice. And the cautionary tale goes: You must ask Charlie to stop playing the game.

Well the entire internet just blew up this Memorial Day weekend with the ‘Charlie Charlie Challenge’ on social media.. Oliver Darcy at THE BLAZE reports,

It’s dubbed the “Charlie Charlie Challenge” — and it has individuals everywhere attempting to summon a Mexican demon named Charlie through the performance of a paranormal ritual.

Individuals are instructed to form a cross with two pencils on a piece of paper. Inside the four boxes created by the pencils, one is supposed to write either “yes” or “no” and then ask if “Charlie” is present. If the pencil moves toward a box with “yes” that supposedly indicates the demon’s spirit is in the room.

There are two camps when it comes to a story like this, just as there is with the OUIJI board or any other attempt to herald some paranormal souls or demonic entities:
1) It’s all fake anyway so it doesn’t really matter..
2) It’s all true or at least partially true, and it’s a dangerous game for youthful ignorants to play around with ancient rituals.

You may have a multitude of thoughts yourself on the matter–I certainly do..
There is no paranormal story I ever wholeheartedly believe.. Nor is there ever ‘too much’ logic in the face of news events like this. But at the same time, there are mysterious things in this mysterious universe, with quantum mechanics in its infancy, I still believe anything is possible.

Along with the possibilities: Maybe even someone named Charlie answered the call of endless amount of people now showcasing their CHARLIE CHARLIE videos on the internet for the entire social media world to see..

Once again this year, paranormal tales are in the news. The mainstream news..

Hopefully all of our CHARLIE CHARLIE video victims remembered to end their game..

But it’s a shame that TLC wasn’t laying attention in May 2007–the time when someone named Alice took to a message board to talk about allegations of molestation against Josh Duggar. Now he and his 19 are canceled and TLC has some explaining to do..

MEMORIAL DAY BOX OFFICE BUST

MEMORIAL DAY BOX bombs!! The weekend has gone cold for film.. Usually a huge summer blockbuster gets released around this time of the year, and this year is even worse than 2010’s Memorial Day box.. gone are those amazing SPIDERMAN weekends.. Here is TOMORROWLAND with only $40 mil, PITCH PERFECT barely at $38 mil.. POLTERGIEST flops big time with a fourth place finish only eating up $27 mil of Americans’ money.. Not even last week’s hit MAD MAX could muster up more than $30 mil for the four day weekend.. 

My thoughts: There was something pretty amazing in some large areas of the United States this weekend, something not seen often in this nation: A blue sky, perfect in appearance without a chemtrail in sight.. A nice summer breeze .. a largely amazing and breathtaking sight to behold. Maybe people decided that this Memorial Day, they’d get back to nature.. or maybe the crop of crap that was released in box offices Memorial Day 2015 was just not that great.… People will wait until the ROCK saves California as it is dissolved by a monster quake, or when dinosaurs break loose and terrorize innocent park patrons. That’s when the real movie season will begin.

You may have heard of the pencil game called CHARLIE CHARLIE.. There are variations of it online, some say two pencils, but others say three.. Either way, you need to begin with two players and both must chant ‘Charlie Charlie can we play.’  The pencils will take on a life of their own, it is said, if Charlie wants to play…

The legend has been around for some time, with people randomly posting links of their own experimentation.. and others proclaiming fake and fraud.  The game is a Mexican tradition and is also called the Pencil Game and Charlie Pencil..

But new life has been breathed into the game on Youtube and other social media sites..

A video racking up some big hits on the popular site World Star Hip Hop shows off some people experimenting with their own version of CHARLIE CHARLIE.. The video includes some not so friendly language.. but it’s a holiday weekend, I assume you won’t be at work or school when you’re reading this..
So presented for your Sunday night amusement: A CHARLIE CHARLIE video filled with decisive answers and men with high pitched screams..
