    Now the Simpsons predicted Lady Gaga halftime show!?

    …let’s get this straight.. The SIMPSONS predicted that Donald Trump would be president of the United States more than 15 years ago.. it predicted, some would say, the ‘pizza gate’ scandal that briefly emerged late 2016 and into January of this year..

    And now, fresh off of a successful halftime show for Lady Gaga, sleuths have gone back to 2012 and found an episode that seemingly predicted the EXACT SAME ACT that Gaga performed at the Super Bowl this past Sunday! The show was titled Lisa Goes Gaga..

    Seriously… seriously.. seriously..

    The chills are within me.. the hair on my arm is rising..

    In “Lisa Goes Gaga,” the entire town of Springfield is in an emotional funk — particularly young Lisa..

    It just so happens, though, that Lady Gaga is traveling town to town to build tolerance and tear down those cultural walls that divide us.  She uplifts the town.

    During this year’s Super Bowl, several commentators predicted (*and many of us feared*) that Lady Gaga would go political.. She didn’t do anything overt.. There may have been some veiled references to unification during the Trump Administration, but the show was fun and raucous, and detractors to be had a tough time finding much to criticize..

    Just like the show, perhaps, predicted.

    Are we reading too much into this??

    ….how many more Simpsons shows will, in this timeline, actually happen. Perhaps the producers and writers, through some reverse Mandela Effect, know the fate of this planet.
    And Lisa, the woman president after Trump, has to take us from the abyss and bring about hope again…

    Strange times we live in.

    Sony Pictures Animation has booked Hotel Transylvania 3 on a new prime summer release date of July 13, 2018. The pic previously was scheduled on September 21 that year..

    Good move. Kids out of school.. people more inclined to go see a children’s movie that time a year as opposed to the third week of the school season.

    My own son will be the prime age for a theater visit with this film. He (and I) loved the first two movies.. No doubt the third will be just as well done..

    Real life serial killer story happening now..

    30-year-old Alicia Ann Greer and 39-year-old Jacqueline Jeanette Moore were found Jan. 31 at the Emerald Sands Inn on Highway 90 in Milton, Florida.. 52-year-old Peggy Broz was found in her yard in Baldwin County, just across Perdido Bay, which separates the Florida panhandle from Alabama..

    28-year-old Kayla Crocker’s mother worried when her daughter didn’t show up from work. She drove to her house to check on her daughter and 2-year-old grandson.

    There, she found her daughter bleeding out from a gunshot wound at 6:30 a.m. Her son was also in the house, unharmed. Crocker’s 2006 white Chevrolet Cobalt, adorned with a skull and crossbones sticker, was missing.

    The WASHINGTON POST is among news agencies reporting this: Police feel there are connections between these deaths and they are the result of an unhinged serial killing rampage..

    There has been a posting of the people suspected in the killings — and there are a number of communities along the Gulf Coast on edge.. National news media has picked up the story and there will undoubtedly be millions of people watching, and thousands of witnesses on the ground level looking for any suspicious activity to report to authorities in an effort to prevent more murders from taking place..

    In a press conference at the Santa Rosa county sheriff’s office Tuesday morning, Sheriff Bob Johnson said at this point William Boyette’s best chance for survival is turning himself in, because officers won’t go lightly when he’s found.

    “Our officers are not taking a shot from this guy,” Johnson said…

    He knows these woods “like the back of his hand,” he knows where to hide, Johnson said when asked how Boyette continues to elude them.

    State Attorney Bill Eddins also said it is difficult to believe Boyette isn’t contacting someone or using social media.

    FRIDAY THE 13TH: JASON TAKES NOTHING

    Once again, hopes for a new FRIDAY THE 13TH film went down the tank as it was revealed that Paramount pulled previews and the film from their 2017 release schedule.

    Which makes perfect sense. The film doesn’t have a director, a script, or a cast.. It just this nameless *but not faceless* film that continues being bantered around with fanfare but no fruition.

    Interesting note, WORLD WAR Z’s sequel has also been pulled..

    FRIDAY THE 13TH was set to begin shooting in less than 6 weeks.. I suppose there are groundhogs in Paramount that saw Jason’s shadow..

    There are SOME reports that Paramount reconsidered a reboot of the 80s slasher flick after their disastrous film RINGS did so poorly at this past weekend’s box office.

    I have written about RINGS before, and how the concept seemed to just be clumsy.. Not only are the days of VHS appreciation long gone, but the entire RING concept was overdone and then over-parodied by the SCARY MOVIE series. Nothing was left behind to remain scary.. Besides the atrocious box office numbers showcasing that peo
    ple just weren’t interested.

    And sorry to say FRIDAY fans, but for the most part the days of Jason Vorhees being a hit power player in the horror world are ending. Even this year’s big announcement that Robert Englund is ‘returning as Freddy’ neglects to mention it’s a documentary of NIGHTMARE and potentially the swan song of the character. The FREDDY reboot certainly failed a few years back, too.. as did the FREDDY VS JASON flicks 13 years ago.. *13 years, people* ..

    This may be a hint of things to come for the HALLOWEEN remake too.. Time will tell . The only savings grace that movie has is the involvement of John Carpenter..

    The AP is reporting,

    The prison north of Damascus was known to detainees as “the slaughterhouse” and in it, as many of 13,000 people were hanged in only four years after a series of sham trials, according to a new report issued by Amnesty International.

    The report, issued on Tuesday, said that 20-50 people were hanged each week at the Saydnaya prison in what the organization called a “calculated campaign of extrajudicial execution.”

    The report covers the period from 2011 to 2015, but Lynn Maalouf, deputy director for research at Amnesty’s regional office in Beirut, said there is no reason to believe the practice has stopped since then, with thousands more probably killed.

    “These executions take place after a sham trial that lasts over a minute or two minutes, but they are authorized by the highest levels of authority,” including the Grand Mufti, a top religious authority in Syria, and the defense minister, she said.

    The killings were authorized by senior Syrian officials, including deputies of President Bashar Assad, and carried out by military police. Amnesty has also recorded at least 35 different methods of torture in Syria since the late 1980s, practices that only increased since 2011, Maalouf said.

    For any New England patriot fan last night, the ending of the Super Bowl was historic an epic. Throughout the entire game Tom Brady looked like an imp, not completing passes or simply clumsily moving the ball continuously without results or fruition. The Atlanta Falcons blew into the stadium and blew away the New England Patriots almost immediately. The game was 28 to virtually nothing and many viewers, even reportedly the president Donald Trump, tuned out.. 


    Commercials were lame.. and Lady Gaga dropped from the ceiling.. 


    From there, the turnaround took place. Out of nowhere Tom Brady somehow grew back into a football player and completed passes, tied the game, and in a historic overtime event, won the Super Bowl giving the Patriots yet another ring.


    A few years ago I heard several interviews from an author who wrote a book about the fix being in throughout professional sports.. His argument was that most games we see have pre-predicted outcomes, they have winners already chosen behind the scenes, and marketing geniuses have done their best to make the sports look like they’re all just outcomes of good practice and skill.

    Ever since I was young one of my favorite things to watch with professional wrestling. Throughout the last few years sadly my love of the sports entertainment from Vince McMahon has faded a bit with the passage of time and 20th century legends .. 

    However, after looking at last nights game and reading commentary, it seems to me that Vince McMahon may learn quite a bit from the Super Bowl, how referees could make or break your game, and how to make one team look like their castrated and suddenly have the prowess of a horse. 

    I will watch sports, just as I do politics, and observe and deconstruct in my mind. Sports and politics are really no different from Vince McMahon’s WWE, sometimes the outcomes may look spontaneous but the ‘smoke-filled rooms’ behind the scenes just as well could have logically chosen them beforehand.. politics and sports are the ultimate diversions from reality. 

    I do not degrade anyone who is a sports fan, nor do I want to take away their love of whatever chosen game they have. But a careful look at your team and your sport of choice could draw sad results if you think what you’re watching is anything but sports entertainment. Soccer had recent scandals, baseball did too. We haven’t heard much yet about basketball and football but undoubtedly the same demons of cash exist behind the scenes as well. It’s naïve to think that the sport you love hasn’t been influenced by money and greed.

    But does money and greed equal a fixed game? With time all truth comes out. In the meantime, carefully analyze last night’s Super Bowl and realize that the come from behind victory was a storybook ending to a season. 

    Miracles happen.. but the chances of a storybook ending like that happening are much less statistically in the idea of a game being fixed by money men and referees behind the scenes.
