Sydney Sweeney mocked after telling a ghost story from her childhood

The HOUSEMAID star is getting the last laugh as her film continues strong at the box office, but the mocked Sweeney was slammed for her good jeans in ’25.. and now being laughed at about sharing a ghost story in ’26..

She was interviewed in W Magazine about her career journey and upcoming projects.

Sweeney was asked a light personal question. She was asked whether she believes in ghosts. In response, she shared a memory from her early childhood.

She explained that when she was in preschool, she had an imaginary friend. The childlike figure would appear on the playground. She often talked about him with her mother. Later, her mother learned that the person matched someone who had died before Sweeney was born. The story, she said, unsettled her family at the time.

The anecdote was shared casually and without drama. However, sources told Spanish outlet Marca that some studio executives reacted poorly. According to an anonymous insider, the story was mocked in private conversations.

    MORE..

“I think I’ve seen a ghost,” Sweeney said. “When I was little, I used to have an imaginary friend. He would be on the playground at preschool. I would tell my mom about him. It turns out that he was someone who passed away before I was born. It creeped my mom out.”..

The result has been headlines such as “SYDNEY SWEENEY befriended a ghost”..

I think we agree… she probably doesn’t care much about any mockery she is getting … 🙂

  • Halloween done right.. Halloween done wrong

Halloween done right.. Halloween done wrong

A tale of two costumes. One amazing.. the other … tacky?

Heidi Klum donned green scales and squirming snakes to transform herself into Medusa for Halloween on Friday.

Klum said she loves the Greek myth of Medusa, in which a goddess turns a beautiful woman into a monster with serpents for hair.

“So I wanted to be really, really like a really ugly, ugly Medusa. And I feel like we nailed it – to the teeth,” Klum said before pointing to fangs in her mouth.

But meanwhile.. tacky has been brought back in ’25..

For an Oct. 30 Halloween party in New York City, Julia Fox dressed up as Jackie Kennedy in a blood-soaked pink ensemble, re-creating what the former first lady wore the day her husband, President John F. Kennedy, was assassinated.

The look elicited many strong reactions online, with some social media users calling it “disrespectful.”

On Instagram, Fox revealed why she chose the look for Halloween.

“I’m dressed as Jackie Kennedy in the pink suit. Not as a costume, but as a statement,” she said. “When her husband was assassinated, she refused to change out of her blood-stained clothes, saying, ‘I want them to see what they’ve done.’ The image of the delicate pink suit splattered with blood is one of the most haunting juxtapositions in modern history.”

“Beauty and horror. Poise and devastation. Her decision not to change clothes, even after being encouraged to, was an act of extraordinary bravery,” Fox continued. “It was performance, protest, and mourning all at once. A woman weaponizing image and grace to expose brutality. It’s about trauma, power, and how femininity itself is a form of resistance. Long live Jackie O ♥️.”

    Eh… ok Julia.

We will stick with Klum’s Halloween 2025 spirit..

Media focuses on Jamie Lee Curtis ICE comments while everyone else looks at Sydney Sweeney

Kate HudsonSydney SweeneyWanda SykesNicole Scherzinger and Jamie Lee Curtis were at the center of the star-studded Variety Power of Women presented by Lifetime event in Los Angeles Wednesday night.

Hosted by Iliza Shlesinger at the Beverly Hills Hotel, the event centered on the accomplishments of Variety‘s five honorees, among many other women throughout media and entertainment over the past year. But more often than not, those women turned the spotlight towards other industries.

Jamie Lee Curtis made headlines when she was critical of ICE..

“The team at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. The power of women is in every single woman who works at that hospital,” Curtis said. “Every nurse, every child-life specialist, every doctor, every mother of every patient who shows up to try to help these children — that’s the power of women. We see it every day. Children’s Hospital Los Angeles is in desperate need right now. The cuts that have been made are awful, and because of the situation in the government, so much of their funding has been lost. People are afraid to go to the hospital because they’re afraid they’re going to be picked up by ICE agents, so they won’t go that hospital.”

The death of celebrity news on TV

There is plenty of scandal still around.. but the stalwarts of celeb reporting are slowly vanishing.. The latest is E! NEWS.. the bold exclamation point and the series of gossip stories about the rich and famous.. It is now a bygone era. It will end and air its final broadcast on September 25..

Seth Abromovich from The HOLLYWOOD REPORTER sarcastic laments the demise of E!..

Launched in 1991, its innovation was that it took showbiz as seriously as CNN took politics and crime. In doing so, E! News helped popularize the modern fixation on a side of Hollywood once meant for industry eyes only — everything from celebrity bad behavior to box office grosses.

    E! anchor told the REPORTER:

“There was that time, like 2008 to 2012 — the Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Britney Spears era, going to Kitson on Robertson,” Kennedy reminisces. “It’s almost like an untouchable time in entertainment news, and I was just lucky to be a part of it.”

Some of his most memorable stories involved celebrity deaths. “I think we did 48 hours of live coverage for Michael Jackson,” Kennedy recalls of the pop titan’s fatal propofol overdose in 2009, during which he worked for E! News as a correspondent. “I’ll never forget arriving at the scene at UCLA Medical Center after he died. Thousands of people showed up.”
