If correct, these are ominous signs that could call into question whether someone in the cockpit might have deliberately steered the plane away from its intended destination, a former U.S. aviation investigator said.

“This kind of deviation in course is simply inexplicable,” said Paul Goelz, former managing director of the National Transportation Safety Board.

However, veteran pilot Kit Darby, president of Aviation Information Resources, told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer that mechanical problems could still explain everything: A power failure would have turned off the main transponder and its backup, and the plane could have flown for more than an hour, he said.

According to the Malaysian Air Force official, who declined to be named because he is not authorized to speak to the media, the plane’s transponder apparently stopped working at about the time flight controllers lost contact with it, near the coast of Vietnam.

Malaysian airlines flight 370 is still missing.. There was hubbub about people with stolen passports. We know this now: One man with a stolen passport on the missing plane was seeking asylum.. he was an Iranian teenager trying to migrate to Germany and does not have terror links..

The HORROR REPORT reported on this matter yesterday in a story but it’s worth re-linking up this morning.. There are claims that the cell phones of passengers from Flight 370 are still working and ringing. No one is answering.. Apparently the phones being called by a handful of relatives of the LOST are still on a network.. the phantom phone calls are a mystery but adding to the heartbreak and misery of the families trying to figure out what emotion they should have..

But it’s not just the passengers.. According to the Singapore STRAIT TIMES, cell phones of the crew members are ringing, too! According to reports, that information has been turned over to Chinese authorities. And I am sure the Chinese government will be up front and honest with their answers… (Into the vault, never to be heard again) .. At some point, will anyone actually perform a global positioning test on these numbers and get a location..?

There are other reports that some family members have even seen the smartphones ONLINE through the Chinese networking site ‘QQ’.. 

There are two possibilities: The plane is missing and somewhere deep in the ocean. (It happened to Egypt Air)  But logically, some elements of a plane will always float. Nothing can be hidden forever..And remember, a black box will ping for 30 days.. a beacon transponder will give a signal of a crashed plane. But none of these things are happening?

Instead, families are hearing the cell phones of loved ones ring in some sort of chilling Hollywood horror movie?

Something seems very odd about this story. So little adds up at this point..

I took my son to the car this morning getting him ready for day care.. his little innocent three year old eyes spotted a star still in the early morning sky. I asked him if people lived there and he unequivocally said ‘NOOOO’ .. While the world was busy trying to find a missing airliner, lots of other stuff happened.

A wrap on a troubling, troublesome, and scary day in March.

It has been a wild day of news concerning the missing Malaysian flight 370..
It’s gone.. without a trace. Vanished.
Now at least ten countries are taking part in a search–and the area being looked at for evidence of a downed plane has expanded in reach.

There were signs earlier that rubbish and oil in the water may have been from Flight 370. However throughout the day, that possible door to an answer was closed.  Tonight the world scratches its collective head over the mystery, and families of hundreds of people are struggling and grieving the missing loved ones who were aboard the apparently doomed flight..

Conspiracy theories are running wild.
BEFORE IT’S NEWS is playing up ‘hidden electronic weaponry’ on the flight.. and 20 defense passengers on the flight.. Military-minded conservatives are rabble rousing on talk radio about the Iranian businessman who purchased tickets with cash for people who never boarded.. That plus the stolen passports of Italian businessmen saying they were alive and safe has made matters more than interesting. The United States is probing the terror possibility tonight..

Some rumors persist that the plane may have been turning around.. another report that the cockpit was actually contacted AFTER it was lost on radar.. Another rumor that North Korea was testing missiles and may have shot it down.. And even the possibility presented by Clyde Lewis that a meteor may be to blame.

All of these possibilities are only made possible because of the lack of clear answers.

If a terror plot brought down this plane, why the lack of claims of responsibility from any groups reveling in their success?

If the plane exploded .. why no debris? Why no oil? Why no evidence at all that a plane was destroyed?

Another rumor today that made its round online: The plane turned around and landed safely..Somewhere.

And this creepy aspect to the story is somewhat chilling: Calls are being made to passengers who were aboard Flight 370. The phones are ringing but no one is answering. If the phones are ringing, can’t a cell phone company be able to track down the locations of the devices!? One would surely think in our age of surveillance, it would be possible.. Right?

And THIS from the GUARDIAN, only adding to the shroud of mystery that already exists:

China’s central propaganda department appears to have issued a directive to reporters and journalists not to “independently” comment on the flight, and maintain coverage in accordance with the official government news agency Xinhua.

So as the planet enters day four of this amazing mystery, we’re left only to ponder over the possible outcomes that the passengers on board …

One more piece of oddity: The United Nations is asking nuclear experts to check to see if there were any explosions at high altitudes which could account for destruction of the plane..

…conspiracy theories abound, the media tells us.
I wish the media would stop insulting intelligence by labeling ‘conspiracy theory’ on anything–very intelligent people are befuddled by the mystery presented by MH370’s vanishing act. But theories, at this time, are all we have..

KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters) – Officials investigating the disappearance of a Malaysian airliner with 239 people on board are narrowing the focus of their inquiries on the possibility that it disintegrated mid-flight

I was on one of those ‘end times’ sort of sites last night. It spoke about ‘terrifying events’ that are shaking the world.. to its core. While there are times I think the core is shaking, I typically dismiss any end of the world scenario or Armageddon claim that comes by. 

But there are certain mornings as I update the HORROR REPORT with the previous night’s news, over a nice hot cup of coffee, that I scratch my head in disbelief. Actual headlines so often appear to be more as the storyline of some Hollywood blockbuster.. 

Whether it’s planes literally vanishing before our eyes or volcanoes forcing the evacuation of 200,000 people, I can see easily how someone of religious faith would be compelled to think the jig is up.  The only trouble with that logic is how often in history the jig could have been up.

In reality, end times do happen every day. But it’s an individual thing. The one characteristic of life that we all have in common regardless of race color or creed is this: We perish from this life .. and go wherever we do. That’s it. We all love and honor different things.. we are all filled with a varied amount of goals. But we all go to the same place when this game is done. Where that is? That’s sort of my mission in life to constantly question–I am never satisfied with typical answers, never just ‘fine’ with believing a Bible thumper’s enthusiasm or an atheist’s pessimism.. There needs to be something more to life.. and death. Right?

And in that sense, there is one way that the end of the world can happen.. one way that we can exclude ourselves for our inevitable personal Armageddon and instead had a community end time. And there were three chances of that happening last week alone! Asteroids. There were three CLOSE calls to this planet in the last few days..

The world is on the edge of its seat.. Rescue workers, military officials, a number of nations, and an airline are all desperate to find any sign of wreckage from flight MH370.

The Boeing 777 was at a normal altitude cruising smoothly when it vanished from radar and lost all contact with the known world.

This is a rare disaster.. While there’s precedent for a plane to be missing this long–the Air France flight that crashed in 2009–this one is even weirder. This go around, there’s little evidence that anything was wrong, no distress calls, and now a mystery of at least four stolen passports .. Malaysia has now contacted counter terrorism organizations about the passport issue on flight 370.

Aircraft are frantically searching the South China Sea for evidence, wreckage, remains.. anything.

There was a plume of oil. But that’s it. Nothing else but the oil was associated with that find–and there’s nothing much concrete to say that it had anything to do with the flight crashing..

The area being searched has been widened.  Now officials are looking into a possibility that the plane turned back..

This is one of the world’s safest aircraft. And it vanished without a trace..
Earlier today I likened the story to the plot of LOST.. now I changed my tune, thinking more it is like it’s stuck in limbo, or in some weird Twilight Zone episode.. Or maybe even like Stephen King’s THE LANGOLIERS.. the LANGOLIERS was the tale of a red-eye flight across county that vanished from the real world and entered another realm, where giant creatures were eating time and attempting to eat them since they were lost in the middle of two timelines..

While a varied amount of pop culture or horror references could be made, it may be in bad taste since this is a real event with tragic implications. 227 passengers and 12 crew members have families, friends, and stories.. And suddenly their lives are apparently over with their families having to come to grips with not even knowing where they are..

But .. it’s just so freaky.
And the notion of the plane itself never being found? There’s no secrets on earth that can last for any extended period of time. It would be assumed that some type of evidence or wreckage will be located.. assumed. Assumptions are plenty today.. as a missing airline stays missing.
