Richard Lewis, the beloved stand-up comedian and a star of “Curb Your Enthusiasm,“ has died, his publicist announced.
Lewis, 76, died at his home in Los Angeles after a heart attack Tuesday night, according to his publicist, Jeff Abraham
He was one of the most prolific comedians of our time.. May he now rest in peace.

Referee Mark Charles III confirmed this sad news by posting the following on Facebook:
“My dear friends, it is with great sorrow that I bring news from the Jones family of the passing of our beloved Michael Jones, whom we know and loved as Virgil, Vincent, Soul Train Jones and more.
Virgil passed peacefully at the hospital this morning and I ask that you pray for him and for his family.
This meme is true–those who grew up in the 1990s will recall Rotten.com .. the website grew in popularity fast back when the entire web was the dark web–and on the heels of the Faces of Death video that kids in the 80s that was real (well that one bit in the movie was..)
While you may not have surveyed the content on a regular basis on Rotten back in the day, it was one of the most popular ‘underground’ sites of the early internet.. One video that sticks out was the Bud Dwyer suicide video–he was a legislator from Pennsylvania and while under investigation, called a news conference in which he shot himself at the end. On live TV.
While the content of Rotten was, well, rotten, there was something to be said for early pioneers online who did not allow a regulated internet to stop their creative HTMLing..
For better or worse, the TMNT meme of people gathering around an old computer to see Rotten.com was just about true…
All in all, it was a crude and gross site. But at that time, things like this happened. It is tough to explain that to the current internet crowd that is cloaked in social media terms of services..
For years, we have been reporting on weird notes being found in grocery stores across Pennsylvania, with the occasional other state report. We even did pre-AI work and translated the note back in 2020 into searchable text.
But now, as we review a new note that was found in a box of Pringle Mini’s in the Frackville PA Boyers supermarket, it is evident the tone of the note has changed.
The newest note we have seen, shown here, features some new key words and included Oprah with a few other names that include Musk.
But the final statement on the note seems most alarming: Our #1 enemies r ‘Americans.’
A previous note that was featured on WBRE Eyewitness news showed a note that ended with a our number 1 enemies are ‘domestic.’
The note found in Frackville ups the ante on the conclusion to the weird note.
A few weeks ago, a video made rounds dubbing the entire ordeal as the ‘Schuylkill Notes.’ There is even a Wikipedia page now posted that references a number of sites that reported about this, including the Coal Region Canary.
We began reporting on this early in COVID year 1.
Mainstream news sources also picked up the story in 2024 despite the notes circulating for years.
Congressman Dan Meuser says he is looking for answers.
“We’re definitely going to stay on top of this. If it’s concerning to our constituents which it clearly is, it’s concerning to us. So, we are going to stay in touch with our contacts at the FBI and the FDA. Everything that we can find out that we can share we will.”
Congressman Matt Cartwright says he also has been in contact with federal agencies about the mystery notes.
There’s been no indications of sickness but you don’t want to take any chances and we want to find out who is doing this. It’s obviously somebody’s idea of a weird joke but you don’t want to let get any further than that,” said Matt Cartwright.
Beyond those reports and government awareness, there has been no comment on any pending investigations or actions taken.
We have been attempting to discern just how these notes have been spread so far and wide. It seemingly would be unlikely that it’s happening in stores themselves–too risky and too many people can see. An assembly line in a packaging plant may be easier–but so often those locations have a more cameras that a Hollywood movie studio. That said, notes seems to be slipped into packaging–though we have received at least two comments in previous years of people claiming it was securely placed underneath bags in packaging, which may illustrate it is a bit more complicated than just slipping in a note within seconds.
And it’s not just stores–it is parks, too. As the Pittsburgh TRIBUNE reported in January,
While hiking in Lebanon County’s Swatara State Park, 23-year-old Zachary Zimmerman told the Inquirer he found more than a few of the notes on trees and wrapped around stones.
“I picked it up and read it, and it really doesn’t make any sense to me,” Zimmerman told the Inquirer. “It’s just a bunch of crazy stuff.”

“A European Space Agency satellite is expected to reenter and largely burn up in Earth’s atmosphere on Wednesday morning. The agency’s Space Debris Office, along with an international surveillance network, is monitoring and tracking the Earth-observing ERS-2 satellite, which is predicted to make its reentry at 6:14 a.m. ET Wednesday, with a 15-hour window of uncertainty.
The ESA is also providing live updates on its website. “As the spacecraft’s reentry is ‘natural’, without the possibility to perform manoeuvers, it is impossible to know exactly where and when it will reenter the atmosphere and begin to burn up,” according to a statement from the agency.”
During a recent interview with US Weekly, Hamilton shared that she has been having a good time working on the final season of Stranger Things. “I do get to be there for table reads and watch it unfold and be part of it. I’m thrilled to be part of it,” she said. “But I just never, ever saw that one coming. It is different when you’re a fan of the show to sort of go, ‘Well, how do I fit?’ But we’re working on it. This movie is a must-see.. I watched DREAM SCENARIO during the final days of my recovery from influenza B last week–a little too weak to write up anything in relation to the movie.
Anyway, long story short, this film may be one of the wildest, craziest, funniest, scariest, and deeply moving films about human existence and dreams and all of this madness that I ever saw.
I truly recommend it.
Some of you out there may hate it! Some may love it.. Nic Cage might scare the ever living piss out of you when you watch it. But in the end, this movie has profound meaning–if you allow it to.
It begins in such a way that gave me nostalgia to the “This Man” of the late 2000s, back when some dude made us all believe in a hoax for a few days that everyone was seeing ‘this man’ in dreams. *that website still is online by the way*
While it became apparent no one ever dreamed of that man–at least not organically–DREAM SCENARIO brings us to a world where it would be true. People randomly of Professor Paul Matthews.
What would happen to him? And us..
It is a truly remarkable performance and has quickly escalated into one of my top ten movies of all time just after one viewing.
