    Candace scores Harvey!

Candace Owens was able to get access to Harvey Weinstein from prison..

The Hollywood mogul, now behind bars, spoke about a number of topics..

    MORE..

“I learned my lesson the hardest way possible,” he said. “I was a good father throughout. The one thing I can say that people do say about me was that I was a good father. But I would be a better father—a lot better father.”

“We have a tablet, we get movies, normally six months later,” Weinstein explained. “And my son said to me, ‘Hey dad, I don’t believe that Captain America [Brave New World] is gonna be a good movie.’ And I say, ‘No. no, it looks good, I’ve heard it’s good go see it.’”

“He went and saw it and he said, ‘Dad, it was terrible,’” Weinstein recalled. “And then I finally saw and I had to call him on the phone and said, ‘You know what, you’re right, it was terrible.’”

“You don’t get your shirts, you don’t get your socks, you don’t get your underwear. The food is rancid. I mean it is really awful.”

  • Are comedy movies going to be funny again?

Are comedy movies going to be funny again?

Is there hope in the vast wilderness of dull comedies.. will slapstick bring us all back to a theater to laugh again–like really laugh?

The newest NAKED GUN movie is released this week.. thanks to Liam Neeson, the straight laced face who will provide indecent frivolity..

Here is what a sampling of critics have said:

One of the funniest movies in recent history… It is just what I have been missing with comedies.
    — Rachel Leishman, The Mary Sue

One of the most audacious comedies in years; one that evoked the biggest laughs of any press screening I’ve ever attended.
    — David Gonzalez, The Cinematic Reel

It’s the funniest godd–n thing in years.
    — Siddhant Adlakha, Inverse

It’s very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very funny.
    — William Bibbiani, TheWrap

The flick achieves what few comedies these days even attempt.
    — Joey Magidson, Awards Radar

There’s enough inspired nonsense here to keep comedy-starved theatrical audiences engaged.
    — David Rooney, The Hollywood Reporter

Other 2025 films have jokes; this one is jokes, and most of those jokes are really, really, really f—ing funny.
    — David Ehrlich, IndieWire

Akiva Schaffer’s The Naked Gun really is The Naked Gun, not some halfhearted rehash or itemized nostalgia checklist.
    — William Bibbiani, TheWrap

It’s arguably just as funny as the first three.
    — Aidan Kelley, Collider

[It has] the kind of retrograde, politically incorrect humor that makes the movie feel almost like the old Naked Gun.
    — David Rooney, The Hollywood Reporter

The original Naked Gun was hilarious. It was a film that practically had audiences wetting their pants. The new Naked Gun, by contrast, is amusing.
    — Owen Gleiberman, Variety

Not everything lands, but on the whole, the film’s batting average is higher than 1994’s The Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult.
    — Nick Schager, The Daily Beast

Early Rotten Tomato score is 91%!

We just want to laugh again…

  • A cursor on the case: CBS Epstein splash: “Orange blob” on the prison tapes

A cursor on the case: CBS Epstein splash: “Orange blob” on the prison tapes

An orange shape was spotted on surveillance footage near Jeffrey Epstein’s prison cell on the final night of his life .. according to CBS news, forensic experts are questioning the federal government’s explanation of the mysterious object.

The shadowy object moves up the stairs to Epstein’s cell block at the Metropolitan Correctional Center around 10:40 p.m. the night before the 66-year-old convicted sex trafficker was found hanged.

Federal investigators previously said the pixelated blob was a corrections officer “carrying linen or inmate clothing,” but forensic experts who spoke to the network as part of an investigation into the jail video now suspect it may have actually been a jumpsuit clad inmate.

“To say that there’s no way that someone could get to that, the stairs up to his room, without being seen is false,” video forensic expert Jim Safford told CBS, with his view shared by four other leading experts.

The footage also doesn’t appear to be raw, with the outlet reporting it’s likely a screen recording — evidenced by a cursor and menu visible on the screen. The video feed also skipped ahead a full minute just before midnight, and its aspect ratio abruptly shifted.

    MORE..

    CBS also reports,

The Justice Department said the FBI seized the prison’s digital video recorder system, or DVR, containing the raw footage five days after Epstein’s death. When federal officials released the jail video, they attested that it was “raw footage,” but the presence of a cursor and onscreen menu raise questions about that. Experts told CBS News those images indicate the video was likely a screen recording rather than an export directly from a DVR system.

  • The death of celebrity news on TV

The death of celebrity news on TV

There is plenty of scandal still around.. but the stalwarts of celeb reporting are slowly vanishing.. The latest is E! NEWS.. the bold exclamation point and the series of gossip stories about the rich and famous.. It is now a bygone era. It will end and air its final broadcast on September 25..

Seth Abromovich from The HOLLYWOOD REPORTER sarcastic laments the demise of E!..

Launched in 1991, its innovation was that it took showbiz as seriously as CNN took politics and crime. In doing so, E! News helped popularize the modern fixation on a side of Hollywood once meant for industry eyes only — everything from celebrity bad behavior to box office grosses.

    E! anchor told the REPORTER:

“There was that time, like 2008 to 2012 — the Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Britney Spears era, going to Kitson on Robertson,” Kennedy reminisces. “It’s almost like an untouchable time in entertainment news, and I was just lucky to be a part of it.”

Some of his most memorable stories involved celebrity deaths. “I think we did 48 hours of live coverage for Michael Jackson,” Kennedy recalls of the pop titan’s fatal propofol overdose in 2009, during which he worked for E! News as a correspondent. “I’ll never forget arriving at the scene at UCLA Medical Center after he died. Thousands of people showed up.”

  • Aliens among us in Compton Cali?

Aliens among us in Compton Cali?

Media attention has now continued on a short video from Jessica Ortiz’s Ring camera days ago.. The video seems to show a mysterious figure outside her home, Compton California. Local affiliates reported it along with the video, and others have subsequently picked up the story across the nation and world. The internet has had their say as well, pondering if this was an alien or just some trick of the lens..

“Someone ANYONE please explain to me what my ring just caught. I’m not tripping right?” she captioned the 11-second video.

According to Ortiz, it all began when she received an alert on her Ring doorbell app on June 5 around 1 a.m.

Surveillance video shows the mysterious “creature” walking in Ortiz’s driveway and exiting through a back gate. You can hear Ortiz’s gate close after the figure leaves the property…

A few of the best comment:

Well we already got Leprechaun in the hood, might as well give us Aliens in the hood

Did they seriously ask zak bagans.

It’s just a person carrying their jacket or hoodie. Take a closer look. 🤦‍♂

Must be a really slow day at the news station, some people are so gullible that they’ll believe this BS.

Slow news day indeed… or aliens among us..

  • 🌋 Klyuchevskoy Volcano… Now It’s Your Turn.

    🌋 Klyuchevskoy Volcano… Now It’s Your Turn.

After last night’s Earth-shaking 8.8 magnitude quake — a monster that rattled the Ring of Fire and triggered a tsunami across the Pacific — the planet isn’t done yet.

Now, Klyuchevskoy — the largest active volcano in the Northern Hemisphere — has erupted.

According to the Russian Academy of Sciences’ United Geophysical Service:

    > “A descent of burning hot lava is observed on the western slope. Powerful glow above the volcano. Explosions.”

    The Earth isn’t just restless.
    It’s moving.

🌀 Strange Moment on TikTok ..
I was scrolling endlessly — like we all do — and thinking, “Isn’t it weird that I rarely get horror content on my feed? I run a horror site, after all.”

Literally the exact second I thought that, this video popped up. Not a horror topic, but the word “horror” is right there on the screen. It was the exact moment..

    Coincidence? Probably.
    Creepy? Definitely.
Is the algorithm reading my thoughts… or something else?

Because here’s the thing: maybe TikTok’s algorithm isn’t just reflecting our thoughts — maybe it’s shaping them. Maybe it’s not listening, but leading. These systems might not just detect what we’re thinking… they might predict when we’ll think it. They could even time our feeds to deliver content at the exact moment our minds are primed to receive it. Whether that’s advanced psychology or digital sorcery, I’ll let you decide.

It was originally reported as an 8.0..and then an 8.7..

  • Massacre in Midtown; New York rattled by mass shooting

Massacre in Midtown; New York rattled by mass shooting

This is still a developing story…

A tragic scene unfolded Monday in midtown Manhattan, where a shooting at an office building left at least five people dead — among them, an off-duty NYPD officer, according to sources who spoke with the Associated Press and other news organizations.

The suspect has been identified as Shane Tamura of Nevada. Authorities say he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

News outlets tonight are digging too deep into Tamura’s background.. early reports suggest he may have once aspired to play in the NFL and didn’t make it. Could that have been a breaking point?

To those who lost their lives today: may you rest in peace. What an awful, senseless story.

🚨 First look alert: Warner Bros. just dropped over a minute of footage from Weapons — and it’s already making major waves. Early reviews have the film sitting at a perfect 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, with critics calling it one of the best horror releases of the year. Now, these are early reviews, of course, as more reviews come out. That number may change a bit. But so far, the reviews are really good.

    The clip? Intense. Gripping.

For a little personal touch — I showed it to my 14-year-old son, who’s usually indifferent to horror. He sat frozen, eyes locked on the screen. When it ended, he turned to me… and flipped out.

“Why would you show me that?! I’m 100% having nightmares tonight,” he said, storming off like I’d summoned the Boogeyman into our living room.

So yeah, Weapons might just be that kind of horror movie. You’ve been warned.
