Olive Garden pins comeback hopes on technology -l

The bread sticks are getting cold and old. The Olive Garden is having some mighty oily issues as foot traffic declines. Their silution? Take out and delivery. As FORTUNE reports,

“CEO Eugene Lee thinks that the to-go business can eventually grow to 20% of sales at Olive Garden. What’s more, Lee said Olive Garden is gearing up to offer delivery, particularly for large parties.”

Perhaps the quality is the issue over quantity or ease of eating.. the same for McDonalds, which is also seeing peoblems similar to the Olive Garden. Perhaps it’s the American taste buds that ate changing–People want to vanquish salt and sugar from their diets. Olive Garden could be a victim of changing times. ..

TONIGHT: Forecasters said the Northern Lights may be able to be seen Tuesday night as far south as Iowa or Pennsylvania

The dateline on the article is June 23, 2015.. Tuesday night is going to be a wild evening for some, at least if the skies are clear and the Northern Lights create the beautiful aurora as far south as experts say they could happen..

This is all because of a huge solar storm that struck earth just as summer officially began..  NOAA says this could be the largest geomagnetic storm to hit earth since March 2005–a decade in time.

Look to the skies tonight.. There may be some magical fluctuations in the magnetic field greeting your eyes..
Heads up.

OPINION ARTICLE IN QUARTZ: On the 40th anniversary of Jaws, pity the American horror film

Good read by Catriona Miller…

I don’t consider JAWS the classic others do, but I see the point of the article. Horror has fallen steadily since then in the eyes of some… however there are amazing films the mainstream media often chooses to ignore. This year they could not ignore IT FOLLOWS
There are worthwhile films out there.. but you have to look to find them.

I still believe that professional wrestling and horror movies best show the pop culture of the time they are from.. Regardless of what reviewers or ‘experts’ in the entertainment field say..

Miller may be right when about the fall of the American horror film.
But we still have the Japanese and Iranians.. Creativity still abounds.

Dry shampoos already had started to gain traction because more consumers want to keep their hair’s natural oils intact and avoid harsh substances. Sales of the products are growing five times as fast as the 2 percent gain predicted for the total shampoo category through 2019, Aitken said, citing Euromonitor International data.

“It is now a case of skip a wash, or even two, among some of the users I know,” she said.

People who feel compelled to keep skip showers entirely have some waterless options for keeping clean. There are a number of personal cleansers geared to medical caregivers that don’t require water, including a version made by CVS Health Corp. for sale in its stores.

The Mall at Steamtown in Scranton PA hit the auction block on Monday

The mall is 22 years old and has dozens of empty store fronts… it’s a dead mall but doesn’t have to be .. perhaps the right buyer will bring life instead of forcing this into the dead mall category .. from the liked article:

“Auction.com lists the 558,816-square-foot two-story facility for a starting bid of $700,000, with a required bid deposit of $25,000. Auction.com reports the mall is 59 percent occupied.
The auction will run until June 24.
At the end of business Monday, one bid of $1 million was placed. Tyler Ley, of auction.com, would not reveal who the bidder was.”

GOOD LUCK TO TYE STEAMTOWN MALL. and all other dead malls that are or will soon be.

New research shows Earth’s core contains 90 percent of Earth’s sulfur

New research shows Earth’s core contains 90 percent of Earth’s sulfur

New research confirms that the Earth’s core does in fact contain vast amounts of sulphur, estimated to be up to 8.5 x 1018 tonnes.

This is about 10 times the amount of sulphur in the rest of the Earth, based on the most recent estimates (and for comparison, around 10% of the total mass of the Moon).

So put that in your core and don’t inhale it.
